Great contestant! He performed his A game the entire show and had no strikes and lost a squeaker....the best non winning performance in the shows entire run
R.I.P., Stu Scott. Shame he didn't live long enough to see ESPN acquire the rights to the UFC. He was a *big* MMA fan, so he'd definitely have been on the desk had he lived long enough. During the show's run, there was a backup quarterback for the Atlanta Falcons named Matt Schaub-- leading to Chris Berman to nickname him Matt "Stump the" Schaub on _NFL PrimeTime._
RIP to the GOAT! I learned so damn much from this show, and Schwab was honestly an idol of mine! Rest easy to Stewart Scott and Howie Schwab. We miss you every day!
@@dicloniusgames He was released from ESPN in 2013 due to cutbacks. He later worked on Sports Jeopardy! as a consultant and writer. I don't know what he's doing now.
I hadn't looked this up in over a decade. Then somehow I end up here and look it up and see Schwab dies like yesterday. Is that why I had this video recommended or is it some eerie coincidence. Sad to hear too.
The fact that this series ran _four seasons_ disproves that. If they *had* been feeding Howie Schwab the answers, the show would have been off so fast...
This final round was kinda bullshit but there’s no denying the greatness of Howie. He’s very hard to beat. The strikes don’t really mean anything. You should lose points instead.
The late Howie Schwab was *not* fed the answers. He legitimately worked as a researcher/ statistician for ESPN for 16 years before moving on as a consultant/ writer on _Sports Jeopardy!_
What a great contestant. You could tell nfl, nba was his thing
and college football
@@TomDelayBeats he smashed the 1000 yard rushers and the 40hr hitters, dude was solid in MLB NFL NBA shaky on the golf
Shaky on tennis too haha.
If he was still alive, I’d bet Stuart Scott would be considered for a guest hosting part on Jeopardy!
Oh he would have been fantastic!
Yes absolutely fantastic!!! He was a funny and passionate person.
Absolutely not, he's way too cheesy.
Nah. Too urban and too much of a punk and wise ass and too full of himself. ESPN doesn’t miss him at all. He shouldn’t have abused drugs
@@chibearsfan313dropped knowledge like a clumsy librarian is corny lmao? Alright dude. Guarantee you're a Stephen A fan 😂😂😂😂😂
R.I.P. Stuart Scott
And now the Schwab joins him...R.I.P.
I remember this show Adam, it was one of my favorite game shows, I really liked ESPN back in the day.
9:02 Kevin, you came, you saw…, you got caught.
LOVE Stump the Schwab!! Thank you so much for posting this!!
He passed today

Scott would’ve either been pushed out of espn or left like Rich Rosen and Colin cowherd
Now RIP Schwab
RIP to both of these legends! Loved this show growing up!
😢...i miss Stuart Scott and Howie Schwab 😭
Man i love this show. They need to revive it. My man did extremely well!!!
Schwab just died today.
Back when ESPN was the GOAT
ESPN died with Stuart Scott
God I loved this show as a teenager.
One of my favorite sport shows ever made and episode was in early September 06 i believe (start of my freshman high school year)
You really had to earn the money on this show. It's really hard!!!
Cool Game Show!!!! Stuart Scott, May you Rest in Peace, Brudda!!!!!
Love this show, always watched with my dad.
RIP to the GOAT! I learned so damn much from this show, and Schwab was honestly an idol of mine! Rest easy to Stewart Scott and Howie Schwab. We miss you every day!
I miss this show
RIP Schwab. Legend
These questions are tougher 20 years later
The questions were very specific to that time frame, so naturally they'd be harder today since those events arent fresh in our minds.
All these guys rushing for 1000 yrds in 2005.. how times have changed
There were 12 in 2023, 7 more within 100 yards
Man, I loved this show too. Questions were super tough but those 40 is the new 30 baseball questions at the end were super easy to me :D
I couldn't get Spahn. I guessed Randy but he had his 24 wins with Ari at age 38 and at age 40 he only won 16.
man i wish i could find all of this show online
9:01 "You came, you saw, you got conquered." -Stuart Scott 🤣
I miss this show!! R.I.P. STUART SCOTT!!
I love this game show from ESPN R I P Stuart Scott
Now ESPN is now the "Sportscenter" Channel

2:15, DAMN Stuart did this man dirty 😂
All I watched at this time was ESPN, MTV and BET. Brings back memories
I wonder if its true, if all players got the Scwab bobble head, on the show?
I love how Stuart pauses a little extra after the Schwabs answers to create more drama lol
This show is awesome do you have any more stump the schwab episodes
This is the first episode in season 4 of the American "Stump The Schwab" program and the three players competing are Chris, Kevin & Brian. 🇺🇲 🇺🇲
One of my most favorite shows of all time
This was such a fun show even though I would get at best two answers correctly in any given episode. I love sports but I am nowhere NEAR that good!
This show should've been rebooted but whatever happened to The Schwab?
@@dicloniusgames He was released from ESPN in 2013 due to cutbacks. He later worked on Sports Jeopardy! as a consultant and writer. I don't know what he's doing now.
RiP Stuart Scott. IMO, he would’ve been a great fill-in for Meridith Vieria on WWTBAM.
Or Michael Strahan on GMA.
But I wonder how the Schwab would’ve fared against Ken Jennings, Brad Rutter, and James Holzhauer...
Shoot he would have Bern a good interim host for J!
@@johnnyballenatl well Ken and Brad's forte is most certainly not sports. I think James could give him a good match though
BYU's last appearance in the Holiday Bowl would be in 1991 v Iowa which would end in a 13-13 tie.
I miss this
Thank You For Uploading This Airing Of Stump The Schwab,Do You Have Any More Of Them?
stuart scotts habdshakes were the best. RIP legend!!!
Crazy that both Stu and Schwabie are now passed. RIP Icons!
I got a lot of those home run guys between 02-05 but Javy Lopez?? Damn I didn’t realize he had a 43 hr season
Bethpage would host again in 2009
Shinnecock Hills would host it again in 2018, and will host again in 2026
Winged Foot would host it again in 2020
Would love to see Schwab vs Dave Rothenberg
NBA title winning coaches since that airing:
Steve Kerr
Eric Spoelstra
Mike Budenholzer
Rick Carlisle
Michael Malone
Nick Nurse
Doc Rivers
Frank Vogel

Where can we find more episodes? Thank you for uploading.
Guess they didn’t have a 4xl florida jersey in stock
Got any sports on tap, Dream League, Designated Hitter, Perfect Match, and/or ESPN Trivial Pursuing?
espn trivial pursuit sucked
Chris was on fire 🔥
Now Stump the Schwab takes place in heaven 😢
I wonder who the researcher and/or question writer for this show was since obviously it couldn't be the Schwab
Good effort by Chris.
Bring it back with SVP
They'd need a new expert as Schwab is dead.
Back when espn wasnt trash
RIP ESPN Classic...
Ask jeeves lol
I loved this show, just wish hockey was a more used category.
Dirk would win a title in 2011.
RIP scott and schwab
RIP to both
chris was real good knew his shit
I'm guessing this was April 2006.

i refused to watch this show because it bordered on being rigged (ok i watched the first season, but after that i said f--- that s---"
You do understand it's highly illegal to rig game shows, don't you?
Neither you nor anyone else should even be giving the faintest suggestion a game show might be rigged when that's illegal.
