- In this video I show how to fix a loose joint on the Mondo He-man. This is just a potential fix. Some people would rather work through mondo for a replacement and that’s fine but if you are looking for a quick and cheap way this may be of some help.

I appreciate this video you did a great job and I may use this for something in the future. BUT THERES NO WAY IM SPENDING THAT MUCH MONEY ON A FIGURE TO HAVE TO FIX IT. But I’m pretty sure mondo is treating most people pretty good about this issue in a timely manor

Good fix! Sad that a fix needs to be done in the first place considering the price. But to Mondos credit i have heard many instances now where they are providing replacement and a $50 "gift card" towards a future Mondo purchase. Much better customer service than a majority of companies today!
My He-Man is still in the box after a week since I'm afraid to even have a look given all the QC issues, but knowing there's a viable quick solution as the one you provided eases my concern. Thanks for the vid!

I'm still waiting for my He-Man figure, according to Mondo, it's scheduled to ship in May 2023. I hope I'm not one of those lucky ones to have a double figure pack. Thank you for the good help tip just in case.

Thanks. My He-Man is fine but Hordak has this same issue. I used plumber's tape but this seems like a better solution. Definitely going to try it.

Nice solution!! i thought the issue was it was too short. i'll have to get me some heat shrink wraps.
The peg is a little short which is also contributing to the issue but this should help. Let me know if you have problems.

No reason you should have too. This is more for people wanting a quick fix they can do themselves.

Mine has the same problem and the leg assembly isn't glued into the hips, so they're floppy. Mondo asked for photos of the figure. Hope they make this right. 🙏

I wish this worked on mine. The problem is my peg isn’t long enough. It’s not that it’s not round enough. I took the torso and legs off. Then I removed the belt and the peg that goes to the legs and torso. There’s a white part underneath the belt. The peg just doesn’t go up enough thru the belt. If I take the belt off then it works just fine. I’ve tried scraping off some of the white and any excess glue, but something just isn’t allowing the peg to go high enough.

My suggestion for your issue would be to contact Mondo. It sounds like they are taking care of their customers and rectifying the issues.
@@curtismakerman oh yeah. I did. They said they are sending out replacements. Not sure if that means a new figure or new torso. I’m just a guy who tries to fix things himself. It’s better now, but will still pop off. So I was close.

I know Mondo was closed for the holidays while most of these were being delivered so I would imagine we would see a response from them on those emails this week sometime.
I heard from Mondo today. They are sending replacements after CNY. They are also giving a $50 gift card for a future purchase or the option to return and refund everything.
buy a 300$ figure and wait couple months, then fix’ this ‘model kit.. the new collector hobby trend~
Unfortunately this is a growing trend across the toy industry. Travel restrictions in China have limited a lot of companies from thoroughly checking QC issues the way they want. Not sure if this has impacted Mondo but it wouldn’t surprise me.
Can you say the name of the brand of heat tubes you got so I can buy them as well please?
Innhom (650 piece) heat shrink tubing. It’s like $8.99 on Amazon.

Depends on which crotch joint it is using. If it’s the new style then this method may work. If it’s the old style then you may be better off with a solution called (Kiki Fix Loose Joints). I have only found the Kiki’s on eBay but it might be sold at some retailers.
@@curtismakerman new style legion builder I have 2 and both have extremely loose legs at the crotch, I’ll try out the shrink stuff since I have it lying around later this weekend.
And they want $285 for this? This is too common of an issue for that much money.
Mondo is kinda expensive. You should get a replacement and not have to fix it yourself.
And that is definitely an option. Some people would rather not deal with getting a replacement and this is a quick easy fix for that.
