- Hi! I wanted to upgrade the trem/ bridge in my Strat so I decided to take a chance on the Vega-Trem and I'm so glad I did! There's a spring that's supposed to go in the hole that the trem arm screws into that fixes the "swinging around or locked solid" issue. I've had my Strat for over 20 years and just discovered that last week... Still a sweet upgrade for that guitar.
It's funny you should say that because I discovered that as well after I did the video. Still happy I did the upgrade however. Best to you Peter.

If you go back and forth from drop D to standard tuning on the E string,do you have to retune the other strings???
Steve, yes you would need to retune the other strings. Dropping the E string to D does change the relationship between the string and spring tension and causes the other strings to go sharp.
What screw spacing does this cover? Do the wider oval screw eyelets allow for using it on a wider range of the original screw holes? I have a strat from China I love, but I think the spacing is narrower. Thanks!
Unfortunately, I believe they are made for standard Strat screw spacing. The eyelets lined right up without any wiggle room; it just eliminates two of the six needed screws.
