See this was originally one song. Realizing the appeal in two disparate demographics, the producers decided to mix out each song separately for each band rather than release it as one song-as originally intended.
Sure, it’s not the truth. But these two sound so good together, who could say they WEREN’T originally the same song?
    Ho Lee Fuk!!! Amazing

@@nigeltate7337 --- even to this day, very few people know that Eddie and Michael made history together many years ago.
I also agree that not having more collaborations of the two of them is a shame.
I wonder if there are more tracks that they recorded in the archives of either family?
I can't imagine that they only recorded the solo for that one single and nothing else. It seems unlikely that happened. The two of them loved music too much and definitely respected each other's talents too much to not just let the tapes roll on record while they hung out for hours in the studio.
Maybe someday Wolfie or Blanket will break out some recordings of their dads jamming together.

This is absolutely captivating! Imagine an alternate history where Eddie didn’t just record the solo for Beat It, but the whole band joined forces with the Jacksons to do a Motown/metal mashup, sort of like Aerosmith and Run DMC did with rap/rock in the 80’s.
Added it to my favorites 30 seconds in ✌️😎💣💥
