one of the genres of the future (now that you can get the ISOLATED vocals or guitar or drums on YT) should be musicians creating "NEW" songs using bits of the past! EX: take Plant's vocals and create all new music beneath it!
Tremendous lyrical narrative. We don't hear Deep Purple singing about a witch lighting everything on fire, but we hear the Temptations sing about a woman having left and leaving the singer wishing it would rain... to put out the fire she started.
It's just unbelievable to me how some of these songs are even better as mash-ups than the originals were. It's like discovering peanut butter and jelly.
I've listened to Mr. McClintock's entire library several times, but I find myself coming back to listen to this particular piece over and over again. I think this is his best work.
After watching a bunch of these, I’m convinced that The Temptations are the greatest soul metal singers of all time. Heck, Bill just needs to do a few more and he’d have enough Temptations mashups to put out a full album.
Your stuff Is always top shelf Bill, but this one really is seamless. There is no way I EVER would have guessed this wasn't the original. Its sounds awesome.
OMG you have done it again, another masterpiece. What "non musicans" don't understand here is how brilliant this is, let me try and explain. The melody fits the deep song groove so amazing that when there is a lift or a break up or a drum fill the melody actually follows that. So be able to find two songs that fit *SO WELL* together is almost impossible and nothing short of genius.
It's hard to believe this is a mashup and isn't a long-lost collaboration between David Ruffin and Deep Purple. Unreal how talented Bill McClintock is at this. I would say he has actually turned this into a legit art form. Othermashup artists are great, don't get me wrong. But yeah...some of these on this channel are just unbelievable.
One of the best Deep Purple songs I've ever heard. Too bad that guy didn't sing for them. This song really sounds like it was all meant to be together.
It's the first mashup where I don't know one of the songs (the temptations one) and it feels completely true to the original. This is a great proof of the concept that harmony really has no owner and can fit many, many melodies.
Damn man, you really don't know how to do a bad mashup, do you? Only frustrated artists and copyrights lawyers could give a thumbs down on your work. Thanks for doing this! Long life to your work and Heavy Soul Music
DiscoScottie My favourite Double Penetration song of all time too. Sorry for the pun, couldn’t resist 😜 Thanks again for a brilliant mashup McClintok 👍
Sometimes, people wonder why I'm smiling, on the edge of laughter and awestruck. Only some of them who appreciate the intricacies of this genius artform know this is why.
Just found your channel today listen to about 10 songs and this is the best one yet because you cannot tell that The temptations are not with deep purple in this song...
Bill - "Eddie is on vacation this work...he won't be able to provide the guitar solo for the week." Us - "Oh, gloom, dispair and agony...who can fill in while he's gone?" Richie Blackmore - "Here, hold my beer, mate!"
Burn is one of my favorite songs, ever. It's been my default cellphone ringing tone for the last 10 years and was the first song I sang in my first high school band, 18 years ago. That being said, you absolutely rocked, once again, with this mash. Bill, you should be awarded a Grammy. Kudos to you
This is why You Tube was created in the first place...to share such great film like this. It's like discovering some long lost Jimi Hendrix song. It's sounds that good and convincing.
Here's the the story of Bill McClintock who just wanted to make music but ended up unifying the the races. These are dangerous waters you're treading, Godspeed sir keep 'em coming.
I had to show this to my father when I saw this originally at the beginnings of the pandemic. He absolutely loved this mix as do I and everyone. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
This is one of the times when I’m a fan of both the original versions .But this version I think is better than both . This proves that one of Deep Purple’s influences is soul these two songs fit together so well it can’t be just a coincidence.
Absolutely fabulous! 👏🏼💪🏼🍻 (A little low volume, the Deep Purple part) Thank you very much for all those beautiful mixes, great work of audio and video, super! 💪🏼
I am fkg screaming! 😁This is so well done. Every time one of these (new to me) McClintock Soul Metal mashups popup in my YT feed, completely makes my day 🙌🏾
The absolute best channel I’ve stumbled across ever!!!!! MUSIC IS MATH folks!!!! Both of my favorite genres mixed and balanced perfectly,…..you are my musical bartender
This sounds legit. Doesn't even sound like a mashup at all. I think the temptations were secretly classic rockers and metal heads
Its legit and fits like a glove because the rock foundations and roots trace back to soul n blues.
I mp3'd this. Stands the test of just listening without video. Really good effort. I always have hard driving music in my head whenever I hear R&B.
It is the other way around
Tell me about it, John!!!!!!!! 👍👍👍👍

RIGHT!!!!! hands down the best mash up of all time
Yooooo...😳😳 Everything makes sense now.. thx man
But again... Where there's fire, there's smoke... On the water.
@@brunobailly7013 ...no
Brilliant
It's just unbelievable to me how some of these songs are even better as mash-ups than the originals were. It's like discovering peanut butter and jelly.
the whole is better than the sum of it's parts.
🤣🤣🤣🤣👍
We are witnessing alchemy.
Or chocolate and peanut butter.
I removed my first Pb &j. I also heard queen for the first time that night. I was 5 years old.
Man these videos are like discovering the new Led Zeppelin or Beatles level equivalent every time.
couldn't agree more!!
I can only agree with the Led Zeppelin part of this.
It gives BOTH songs new life!
Scott Allan Absolutely on the money correct!
Could you imagine THIS at Woodstock?
OH MY GOD THAT WAS A GREAT SONG!!!!!!!!! I cant stop watching these things
I've listened to Mr. McClintock's entire library several times, but I find myself coming back to listen to this particular piece over and over again. I think this is his best work.
His classic James Brotorhead 'Superkill' is also incredible
Strokin' is the best actually.
Van Halen 'Mean Street' mixed with Jackson 5 is perfect too. Really hard to pick a "best" with this guy.
"You Make September Fun" is my favorite. But, this one is absolutely amazing as well.
@@blahblahoinkAbsolutely! This is where I realized that Soul Metal is my favorite genre!
David Ruffin, David Coverdale and Glenn Hughes are the most unstoppable singing trio in history!
David Ruffin says to "Open this pit!"
Yep David Ruffin's voice fits perfectly.
Amazing. You've taken one of the most depressing songs about getting dumped and turned it into a guy angry at the weather.
😅😁
Hell yeah.
Climate Exchange confirmed.
Hahahahahhaha
thats faf.
"Old Man yells at a cloud." the song
David Ruffin. The greatest singer Deep Purple ever had.
Soul Metal is the genre we were all waiting for.
I'm seriously thinking David Ruffin might have been the best hard rock singer ever.
After watching a bunch of these, I’m convinced that The Temptations are the greatest soul metal singers of all time. Heck, Bill just needs to do a few more and he’d have enough Temptations mashups to put out a full album.
This makes sense. The Temptations and Sabbath video also killer, like this one
Yes indeed, that would be sooooooo cool. 🤟😎👍
And I would love a vocal collab between TT and Gaye
The Temptations have stiff competition with James Brown when it comes to soul metal
The Temptations had some great dance moves. They owned the stage
This is amazing. His vocals fit so perfect like he was actually in Deep Purple.
I loved watching the Temptations dance during Ritchie's guitar solo. I will replay this and see if I can join in with them. 😊 🕺🕺🕺🕺🎸🎸🎸
Mr. D. My favorite part!
Kenneth Liburd I'm sure feeling was mutual
Hoogla Boogla LOL true
The Temptations really should have fronted a rock band. Every mashup I’ve heard of them over a rock band is damn near perfection.
So you basically made an unknown Lenny Kravitz tune hahaha Awesome work, Bill.
Mychael Lee Great comparison!
Mychael Lee
Excellent point....listening again now...it’s Lenny 😂🤘🏻
Oh my god hahaha yes
Ha! LOL
LOL
Your stuff Is always top shelf Bill, but this one really is seamless. There is no way I EVER would have guessed this wasn't the original. Its sounds awesome.
Right??? I thought it was Glen or Dave at first....I was waiting for the cross over! When I didn’t recognize the words is when I realized it!!
F*cking A right. This was dead spot on. Unfreakingbelievable.
I didn't know either song, so I had no idea.
Familiar with the style and sound of each band, but as you said, this was seamless.
First class.
🤘😝🤘
David Ruffin could've sung in Deep Purple, no question about it😉
And james brown in led.zeppelin. but only god is perfect
Damn!
David Ruffin could've sung for any band.
Agreed
👍👍👍👏

"When I go outside..."; 3:07.
His Black Sabbath and Temptations mash is next level awesome.
The way that you brought these two songs together, David Ruffin could have been a killer rock vocalist!
The chord progression and vocals line up perfectly... Unreal and amazing!
David Ruffin fronting Deep Purple is magical. You are a great conductor Bill!!!
Wow! That sounds like a real supergroup. Fits perfect. He coulda been the real singer for Deep Purple.
Bill McClintock is a goddamned genius.
As a fan of the Temps, both songs, and Deep Purple, I declare this awesome.
Bill McClintock, you're a genius. Your mashups are flawless
Creator of the songs we never knew we needed.
This is better than both originals. I think.. wait... I’m so confused. It’s just so... amazing.
Bill can find the soulmate for any great song
Bill, if you’re reading this then you’re wasting time you could be spending on another mashterpiece.
"She said Burrrrnnn, ooh I wish it would rain"
That mixes perfectly dude, you're simply a genius 👍🍺🤟
I'm a bit late to the party, but this instantly jumps into my Top 5.
One of the best Deep Purple songs I've ever heard. Too bad that guy didn't sing for them. This song really sounds like it was all meant to be together.
If there's one thing I'm gonna remember from this channel, it's that I gotta listen to more of The Temptations.
YOU'RE. JUST. THE. BEST. MUSICIAN. ON. UA-cam.
Pretty much!!
Hands Down 🙌!
It's the first mashup where I don't know one of the songs (the temptations one) and it feels completely true to the original. This is a great proof of the concept that harmony really has no owner and can fit many, many melodies.
This is true rock n roll motown at its finest ...anyone agree
👇
So far the best sync yet. This sounds like a legit song.
Don't know what it is, but your Temptations (with anybody) in your mashups, JUST WORKS! So hard to choose between this one or the others.
Damn man, you really don't know how to do a bad mashup, do you? Only frustrated artists and copyrights lawyers could give a thumbs down on your work. Thanks for doing this! Long life to your work and Heavy Soul Music
Hell yes, my favorite DP song of all time. I bow yet again before your awesomeness, King Bill.
DiscoScottie My favourite Double Penetration song of all time too. Sorry for the pun, couldn’t resist 😜
Thanks again for a brilliant mashup McClintok 👍
I'm obsessed with this video.
Who knew The Temptations could rock like that! Seamless and entertaining as always, Bill!!
Hot damn! That was flawless. It’s like David Ruffin was made to sing this song. Bill, you outdid yourself!
This the best and natural sounding mashup I’ve ever heard
I still can’t get over how dope this sounds. David Ruffin fronting Deep Purple would have been legendary.
Running out of superlatives for Bill's skills
Splendiferous comes to mind!
Worthy of mention at the Grammy Awards!!
I know right???? I just wind up gushing stupid school girl sayings. You’re great. You’re awesome. He’s so BEYOND mere human words.
Paul Blackman I’m just THANKFUL!!!
Amazing mash up and way better than anything in the current hit parade!
Sounds like a classic rock song, it's great !
Bill - "Eddie is on vacation this work...he won't be able to provide the guitar solo for the week."
Us - "Oh, gloom, dispair and agony...who can fill in while he's gone?"
Richie Blackmore - "Here, hold my beer, mate!"
Blackmore does lay down a scorcher of a solo
The Temptations had an innate ability to sing culpable duets with many fine artists...Thanks Bill for adding Deep Purple as one of them.
This is a WOW-Experience. The whole song.
I'm so glad I found this channel ❣️
All of these mashups are incredible. But this...this is a masterpiece!
Can't get enough of Rainbow & The Temps
absolutely flawless
Perfect, utterly perfect. This sounds like it was meant to be.
Burn is one of my favorite songs, ever. It's been my default cellphone ringing tone for the last 10 years and was the first song I sang in my first high school band, 18 years ago. That being said, you absolutely rocked, once again, with this mash.
Bill, you should be awarded a Grammy. Kudos to you
Seriously Bill, how the hell do you manage all this awesomeness?
This sounds like it belongs this way. Like this song should have been made.
first version i heard, and it will always be the best.
It should and Bill was the one born to do it.
One of your best ever. It sounds seamless, like how it was meant to be performed
This is GORGEOUS!!! Love this mashup - so expertly composed!
Still my favorite mashup. Just absolute genius.
One of the most amazing mashups i've heard.
You've created something truly wonderful. Thank you Bill.
Two years on, I haven't heard either of the original songs individually, but this song stands alone for me as a fantastic song. Love it.
This is why You Tube was created in the first place...to share such great film like this. It's like discovering some long lost Jimi Hendrix song. It's sounds that good and convincing.

This mashup is so smooth that it deserves to be a new genre of its own: Classic Soul Metal.
I watched a few others and thought, "nice gimmick". This is really, REALLY flawlessly good music.
Absolutely fabulous! 👏🏼💪🏼🍻
(A little low volume, the Deep Purple part)
Thank you very much for all those beautiful mixes, great work of audio and video, super! 💪🏼
Easily the best mashup on this channel.
🎤🎸
Did you hear the Slayer mashups?
That one hit me hard man!
Great mash . Sounded like an old record player . Loved it . Thanks for posting .
Wait, how in the hell are the temptations are in sync with deep purple?!! I mean, this is mind blowing!
Whos cranking this up in 2023.. 📻🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶
2024 🤘😎
I never saw the Temptations repeat the same dance steps. I appreciate them on another level now.
Bill, I can't begin to tell you how much your mash-ups fill me with joy. Thanks for taking the time to make 'em.
I am fkg screaming! 😁This is so well done. Every time one of these (new to me) McClintock Soul Metal mashups popup in my YT feed, completely makes my day 🙌🏾
Personally, I’ve had enough rain around here, but this mash-up is genius!
This one is particularly excellent. Dr. King is pleased.
I let Glenn Hughes know about this upload IMMEDIATELY!
What did he think?
Seriously! We need answers!

Hell yes! Been waiting and checking, wait is more than worth it!
Jesus, this is GENIUS!!! Coverdale ain't no David Ruffin!!
THIS is the world Led Zeppelin dreamed of!
Man, what an awesome mashup that is . !!! Brilliant 👏
F#%*kin unbelievable!! You rock Bill, amazing mash 👍
(*now where’s me Elvis 😂👍)
Where my Elvis? Vanilla Radio by The Wildhearts asks that very question...
Neil Davies
This is very true 👍😂
Elvis with Black Sabbath: War Hound Dog
EGPMH
😂👍🤘🏻
Wow! They merge beautifully!
Wow, sounds like an JLT era Rainbow song
diegoruln wow.....you’re right!!!
Each mashup is better than the last one. There should be a whole new award category on mtv.
Bill, man, how the hell do you do it. You just raised the bar again,
By this point....the ‘bar’ is in orbit!
Awesome one of my all time favourite bands and one of the greatest voices ever in Motown, David ruffin.
Oh yeah! Great as always. Pure gold.
The absolute best channel I’ve stumbled across ever!!!!! MUSIC IS MATH folks!!!! Both of my favorite genres mixed and balanced perfectly,…..you are my musical bartender
This proves that the Blues and R&B gave birth to Rock n Roll
Metal Soul is amazing! Thank You Bill! 👏👏👏👏
Unbelievable. Might be the best of the mashups! Thank you!
Peter Kier That thought crossed my mind too as I was listening.
