An outstandingly good mod you've achieved here. I'm not sure I could justify stumping up $600 for the finished product right now, but if money weren't so tight atm, I would buy it like a shot. Very well done, sir.
Can I glue the bezel insert in the bezel before putting it in the case? Then I put the bezel fully mounted in the case avoiding the possibility of gluing the cristal.
Its PVD Sir , here is link to the site I got it from I also got the insert from the same place www.namokimods.com/en-gb/collections/seiko-watch-bezels/products/skx007-srpd-lx-bezel-brushed-black-finish
Hi Paul your going to need a press there only $10 of EBay , I did once damage a bezel insert on a Omega X33 because I didn’t have a press which wasn’t good
I have no gap on my original SRPD bezel. So i couldn't get into the gap between the bezel and the case. I've already damaged my removal tool and the watch. Even with a swiss knife i couldn't get into the gap. The only thing i can go into that gap is a paper! Do you have any suggestion? :(
As I remember I had to sharpen my tool to get it to fit as it is very very tight , One think you can do to help prevent damage to the case is put some tape on the case right to the bezel this should stop you from marking it
Have you seen the Long Island easy method? (For swapping insert without removing bezel) He’s got a vid on it. Looks like a good option. Soak in a solvent and insert just falls out. :)
You could do but you'd better 100% sure your watch is water tight because if not it could get expensive , I would worry about the solvent and its possible side affect's to the seals of the watch Mr Biscuit :)
@@ClickSpringReview the Long Island guy deff knows what’s he’s doing. He tested rubber gaskets in the stuff for several days. And no probs. And yes. Obviously only do it on watches that are ok being submerged. 100m on 5sports would be fine.
@@biscuitsalive Fair play then , Mark is normally pretty on the ball but I find it so easy just to pop the bezel of but each to there own I guess Sir 👍🏻

Thank you Sir , fingers crossed for you in the future
your bezel was already off you can see the other side lifted lol

Hi Sir unfortunately you can't do it before as you know exactly how the bezel will sit , Just take your time and I'm sure it will go ok
Hi, do you have an idea where to buy a replacement bezel for the SPRD79? Same as the stock? Thank you.

@@ClickSpringReview I'm from the Philippines :D
@@jinorenz07 Shame I could of sorted you mine
I use the same cement for the insert.
It works really well I think
can you tell me the exact bezel u used? I was going with a turbine but saw yours and it suits the insert. also is that polished, brushed or pvd??
Its PVD Sir , here is link to the site I got it from I also got the insert from the same place www.namokimods.com/en-gb/collections/seiko-watch-bezels/products/skx007-srpd-lx-bezel-brushed-black-finish
I'm guessing that you have replaced the case and glass yeah :) thanks!
Yes I did with a sapphire crystal the video can be found on my channel i also did the bezel insert at the same time Eddi
is there a gasket inside the bezel?
sorry, i'm stupid. What size of bezel gasket?
Yes you can see it at 4:18 in the video 👍🏻
Sorry I know the size as I swapped it over from the old one
Hello I would like to ask if it’s possible to put on the new bezel without the press? Or should I need to buy one? Thanks
Hi Paul your going to need a press there only $10 of EBay , I did once damage a bezel insert on a Omega X33 because I didn’t have a press which wasn’t good
Will it too weird looking, if I put a ceramic slope bezel on SRPD with the hardlex?
Yes I believe so as the hardlex sits low, maybe best to sick to a flat bezel insert

Where is the best place to get modded parts YM bezel straps etc ? TIA
I got the bezel and insert from DLW-watches I found them to be really good and fast when it comes to posting Nigel
@@ClickSpringReview thank you I’ll look at them now keep up the great work
@@nigeldarcy Thanks I’ll try 😊
@@ClickSpringReview will do my watch turned up today that standard strap is shockingly poor quality

What’s that strap?
Its a Borealis iso strap which I've reviewed before on the channel Jax they feel amazing and so much better than the £15 ones you get of ebay
Do you have to change the bezel to put a black YM insert? And is it flat or dome ?
No I don't believe you have to it should fit and its domed Nigel
@@ClickSpringReview thank you keep up the good work 👍
With that cement that you used to lock down the bezel, is it difficult to remove the bezel in the future if necessary?
Hi to be fair I’ve not had to ,but I believe if you place the bezel in hot water it makes it easier to remove it Sir
Is your watch for sale its perfect
Hi Alex sorry it’s not for sir but if I change my mine I’ll let you know 👍🏻

Well done! Great choice of bezel. Can this be done without a press?
Four Am Thank you , it is possible maybe but the press is only cheap and a lot easier plus less chance of damaging the bezel
Is it heavy on the arm?
No Francis it’s pretty light
