    Vampires of the Twilight Poem
In twilight’s veil, where day and night entwine,
The vampires walk, half-hidden from the sun,
Their ancient eyes, like jewels, coldly shine,
Immortal souls, yet haunted, one by one-
Their hunger whispers when the light is done.
No fangs of gore, no crimson rivers flow,
But beauty masks the curse within their veins,
For in their hearts, a longing none can know,
To touch the warmth of life, despite the chains-
A deathless thirst that brings unspoken pains.
The moonlight holds their secrets in its beams,
A glow too pure for those who’ve lived too long,
And in their silence, endless are their dreams,
Of human days, of laughter and of song-
Yet all is lost, where shadows must belong.
The lovers seek, yet dare not touch the flame,
For mortal love is but a fleeting breath,
And though their bodies shine with deathless fame,
Their souls are bound to darkness and to death-
Eternal life, a hollow curse beneath.
So in the twilight, endlessly they roam,
Half-ghost, half-god, yet strangers to the light,
A pale reflection of a distant home,
Where once they dwelled, before the endless night-
Vampires of twilight, lost to endless flight.
