[TAS] 007: Nightfire - "All Tokens" in

- This is a tool-assisted speedrun. To make this video, I played this game in an emulator and used tools that allow me to play frame by frame and rewind if I made any mistakes. There are other useful tools involved, but that's the basics of it. You can think of it like a script that tells the game what buttons to press and exactly when to press them. The idea of a TAS is to make an entertaining video that shows what is theoretically possible if you were to do a perfect playthrough of this game without human limitations involved. It's not meant to compete with speedrunners or break any world records.
All Tokens, as the name implies, is a challenge in 007: Nightfire with the goal of beating every level while collecting all of the bonus 007 Tokens scattered throughout the game. While a typical speedrun of this game would use lots of out-of-bounds glitches to skip huge parts of the game, this one doesn't do that as much because of the additional requirements it has. That's not to say this category doesn't use glitches, though. It's still chock full of out-of-bounds glitches and some interesting sequence breaks, but none of them come close to skipping an entire level.
This was so entertaining and fun to watch, thank you for doing this fitter. Such a great TAS.
Let's go fitter. Amazing TAS I'm glad it's done. Some insane new tricks over the whole thing that improve over the any% tas are cool too
So, this is what perfection looks like
What a fun TAS to watch. TAS Videos website needs to put this in the recommended section for sure.
So many fours, call him FourterSpace, grabbing all the tokens at an insane pace.
This is art, much love for this
Enemies Vanquished was sweet.
06:45 That was brutal 😂
Congrats on finishing the TAS! This will be fun to watch!
THE TAS GOAT 🔥🔥🔥
Great work as always fitter!
Nice TAS.
Let's go Fitter great Speedrun
Wow, the 7 turned into a gun in this game
Did you purposely make the tas do 44:44 because I think that's absolutely awesome
Thanks! It was just a coincidence, but I love that it happened.
Sick strategies, thanks for bringing the nostalgia :) platinum run on 00agent next?
I thought of doing that a long time ago, but I don’t think it would be all that interesting in a TAS. The main reason is that you can get a platinum medal without picking up the tokens in most levels. Also, the any% TAS does earn a platinum medal in a few levels because of the crazy time bonus it gets. Unfortunately, Nightfire doesn’t cap the number of points you get for your time bonus, so the best way to get a platinum medal in most levels is to just speedrun them normally.
Ok that 007 thing you did in “Exchange” with the not a H&K MP5 was pretty damn impressive.
EDIT: Ok you’re a total show off 😆
I love watching your TASes, how long it took to make this?
Thank you! I started this project near the end of March 2018. While it's been almost 5 years since then, this TAS didn't take 5 years of work to finish. If I don't take any long breaks, I'd say these TASes generally take a few months to a year to finish. For example, the GoldenEye Wii TAS took me 10 months to finish. I'm sure if I was really determined, I could finish a Nightfire TAS like this one in about the same amount of time, or maybe less now that there are better tools for making these things.
@@FitterSpaceYour car went flying 😱
How did you survive the rocket launch?
If you stand on top of the concrete barriers, the explosion doesn't kill you. Whoever designed that part of the game basically made it where the trigger that kills you is only on the floor, so if you can stand somewhere above the floor, it won't kill you.
I was wondering, why did you stop TASing Ion Fury. That's why!
I’ll get back to Ion Fury one of these days. It’s a really fun game that deserves a TAS. The main reason I stopped working on that TAS is that the game has some strange desync issues. I need to tell keylie what’s going on so maybe he can fix it one day.
