    Super helpful the zoom in on the battery connect helped me out a ton bro! Every other video I saw showed it from 3 feet away thanks for an actual tutorial video.

    Good video but it is advisable to use the network and Coax connections provided by an UPS. A home network may have some vulnerabilities as well as cable internet and or cable / ATSC (OTA) TV.

    Stock ones are 24v 9AH, on my 1500 Backup UPS Pro, are there other models with more juice, 20AH?

    Quick question….does it always need to be on for it to work? Will the items plugged into it still work if the APC is off??

    • @wolfshanze5980
      @wolfshanze5980 Рік тому

      Well "on" is just allowing the power to pass through and the battery to kick-in if needed. Off is off, just like a regular power strip. The battery is never in-use unless the power to the home/office is interrupted or cut-off. You don't wear-down the battery unless the power coming from the wall is interrupted.

    Good video but What’s the run time??

    • @wolfshanze5980
      @wolfshanze5980 Рік тому

      5 mins to a couple of hours... there's NO run time without how much of a load you're going to put on it. 5% load, hours, 99% load, minutes.

    I have two APC UPS, a 650 and 1500, and I will advise you away from it. My Back-ups 1500 just died. It is just barely two years old and the battery(s) is in good condition. I contacted APC and they tell me it's out of warranty. Something is malfunctioning and causing it to show dead. I have junked out many APC UPS at Ford where I have worked for almost 30 yrs as an electrician. On the day my 1500 failed, I had junked out two APC UPS at the plant. To say I am disappointed in the company is an understatement. I will take the unit apart, because that's what I do, but I have already ordered a UPS from a CYBER power, and yes I have one of their UPS also. This will be my second. Oh yes, I also work with a great deal of Schneider's other equipment and I won't rave about it.

    How long will the battery last on without being plugged into the wall?, if you were to connect a console like an xbox?

    • @Upgradetech
      @Upgradetech  2 роки тому

      Only for a few minutes enough to turn the power off. It's hard to calculate the timer because it depends on the voltage connected to the surge.

      It doesn't work for shit lmao it lasts an hour when nothing plugged in, when you plug something in you have just enough time to shut it down 🤦

    charge dose not last long when on backup.

    • @wolfshanze5980
      @wolfshanze5980 Рік тому

      100% depends on how much of a load you put on it, as with EVERY UPS on the market. If you stuff a ton of crap on the battery, then it wont last long... if you just have a small desk clock on it, it will run for hours... this is the same with every UPS out there, it's not rocket science.
