Follow Up and Shadow Step don't proc from the capstone. Melee Attack = Using your melee weapon. Melee Damage = damage type. Executioner's blade only procs things that require melee damage.
So it won't use your melee weapons passives like vampire and those 2 skills.. but it will proc the melee crit damage gives a random status effect passive and it will proc the spell DMG/fire rate passive.
honestly i wasn't too interested in the stabbomancer but after playing it, i'm really liking it. the damage is so good. plus it makes a great secondary
One note you should take note on: in wonderlands melee damage and melee attack are two separate things. Difference is that melee attacks only proc when you swing your melee weapon, and since ”follow up” skill only has property for melee attack the ”the executioners blade” skill doesn’t activate that. Same goes for hilt mods, which are all procced by melee attack, not melee damage
actually i have tried to trigger the executioner blade skill but it wont work. It said to be triggered when your gun or spell hits critical but no animation or anything to show it procs?
If we ever end up with enough points to grab 2 capstones stabo and spores capstone combo would be insane
I highly reccomend specing into kindred heart for extra companion health, otherwise your pet will always be downed and can never revive you when you go down
Alternatively, I believe the power % buffs from rings and amulets can boost that as well. Doing both could be a great idea too.

Great video think I’d eventually like a video on (in your opinion) some solid legendaries, uniques, or epics to look out for. Because gear wise most of us are in the dark on what’s good. So any idea would help.
Those will be coming later this week, wanted to know where they come from before I recommend any (which is hard to do in this game) but generally Jakobs, Cov and SMGs seem rly good rn!
This (“in the dark on what’s good”)is what makes games fun. You tubers have turned games into nerf fests. Whenever I see the title “this build is broken” I know a nerf is sure to follow. Back to my point. I’m just as guilty considering I’m looking up build videos. I think we’ve become spoiled though by relying on this shit. It really does take the fun away from finding what works on your own.

I’m also doing a stabbowarden character. I’m going all ranged because I don’t really like melee in shooter games. Used the arrows and spore warden cap stone. Maxed out crit/crit damage. It does insane damage. Pretty cool that there’s multiple builds/specs of the same class that can do end game content well.
I have the same build and I feel like I'm doing zero damage how is this even possible

Great video but I wanted to say that I don’t think executioner’s blade counts as a melee attack for Follow up so they don’t work together but the skill under follow up should work with it because it specifically says melee damage not melee attack so I would go for the fire rate instead of follow up
Im going spore stabbo but i may have to flip it around and go stabbo spore next time lol
if you're after it for endgame you can just spec them the same, the tree will just be on the other side haha but if for playthrough enjoy! :D
I'm new to this game and I'm at level 11 and going against level 18 to 19 enemies in ploy. Is there a way for me to level up fast as a solo player to get all these points needed and some gold in the mean time?🤔 Great video too. Absolutely helpful. Made a power point for myself with everything you said.
Side missions till you’re at least close to the recommended level requirement for story missions

Side missions are a shout, if you wanna just zoom through a couple levels to catch up you can farm the boss at the end of Shattergrave Barrow - assuming you've completed that area, they're great for XP (:

as someone who wanted to play with “from the shadows” at level 7 onward, and dreamed of maining melee weapons I was disappointed with this class. Gun weapons do tons of damage though with this skill. Having more fun with spell weaver a.k.a. abandoning melee altogether. It’s like they’re afraid to give another cool melee hunter since zero.

@@Kuumdu Yeah I was just about to come back and edit this. I was judging too fast, it’s really strong once you hit about lvl 20 plus. I decided to tough it out and see how he did with more skill points and I’m glad I did.
Stabbo melee is all about building up your stacks with your guns/crit kill skill. And doing a big one shot melee with a high damage melee weapon. It cleans up. And the capstone means your guns are always making use of that high damage melee weapon too. Ignore the other stats and just focus on damage with your melee weapon. And go for one shots with the amped up hit. A high fire rate gun is also really good for triggering the capstone a lot and quickly stacking the damage boosts
Where do you get the extra stuff from the chaotic great edditon? How do you change the look of your armor? I've been stuck with the default armor and all I can do is change it's color from the quick change machine.
Extra stuff is sent via the mail system, it might be down while shift is, the armour changes look based on your equipped classmod! Then you can customise it's colours as usual!
Recommendations for enchantments???
anything action skill active is bugged rn to last 60 seconds rather than.. when your action skill is active. So anything that has that with dmg! If enchants are named exactly the same they wont stack - aka if you're using 4 while action skill active increase gun dmg by 40% you're only getting 1 bonus, so mix them up!
Do you happen to know if the capstone causing melee damage on crits activates any on-melee effects from the melee wep? I’d assume not but if you had a melee weapon that regens action skill cd that’d be insane
If something says "melee attack" then you have to use default melee to proc it
Do u think a stabbomancer/spellshot build is good?
Personally haven’t tried it yet but a mate mine rocks it and with the right set up melts through everything on chaos t20 😅

Is this game like you typical arpg but in firstperson? Is there a good repeatable end game where you minmax loot? Randomized dungeons?
Definitely minmax loot and making crazy builds, at launch there's a "chaos chamber" which is a dungeon that has 60 rooms it randomly runs you through, against harder/raid bosses each time for better looot
Why didn’t you put points into the “haste” skill (increases movement speed). Would haste’s bonus speed affect swift death’s bonus dmg for moving faster?

Nice guide, but I don't agree with Shadow Step. In the level 40+ versions of Stabbo, you're usually critting everything anyway, so something to get a extra crit isn't really necessary
"Follow up" skill doesnt work with the capstone skill, atleast not when i tried it

Does the vamp effect also trigger on ghostblade? I'm not exactly sure what properties it copies from your melee weapon.

Question, if you activate ghost blade do the hits from ghost blade count as Melee Attacks? I haven’t got any clarification on this and I’ve been at work so I haven’t been able to test it myself, but I’m curious to know if the hits from ghost blade count as melee attacks, that means it can proc any talent that requires you to melee attack.
Yeah its melee! Dmg is based off your equipped melee weapon and gets the melee buffs in the tree! Also pretty sure it gets ability dmg buffs from class mod passives too 😀
it doesnt count as attacks only as dmg

Yeah your hero points will just be slightly different, i think you'll max out at lower crit dmg

So the spore wardens bullseye skill is broken and doesn’t actually work, like at all.
The crit chance buff? pain.
@@KodyMcHugh you can try with the target in brighthoof. Shoot it without the skill, then with the skill. Youll see little to no increase in the amount of crits you’re getting.

Any weapons (that are viable) will work with it bc it's just crit and gun dmg increases, but my fav so far are blackpowder and skuldugger pistols (:
