I was just thinking if they make the max lvl 40 at launch, does that mean the final dlc that comes out will a level cap of 6 with an introduction of 3 skill trees to one dlc? Like the one on borderlands 3 arms race (possibly?) Is 2K possibly going to do the same thing?
Joltz, there are only 15 combos of skill trees, 1 2, 1 3, 1 4, 1 5, 1 6, 2 3, 2 4, 2 5, 2 6, 3 4, 3 5, 3 6, 4 5, 4 6 and 5 6,not 30 like you say in the video
This will be the character for my first playthrough :) "The mostest unkindest cut of all" is a Shakespear quote, discribing the stabbing of Ceasar by Brutus :)
from what i can see each of the classes are themed from D&D classes ie burrzerker is like a barbarian from D&D as they both have the rage mechanic clawbringer is paladin due to both using auras and being warriors of faith graveborn is warlock due to them doing dark/death based magic etc spell shot is wizard/ sorcerer due to them focusing on spells spore warden is ranger/druid due to their nature based skills and being able to summon a bow with their action skill and stabomancer is like a arcane trickster rouge due to them using stealth, being hard to hit etc and some spells
The quote you were confused about is a reference to Shakespear's Julius Caesar. Antony describes Brutus' stab wound as the "most unkindest cut of all" because it was delivered by a friend. "No Lime Tangerine" is either a reference to the novel Noli Me Tángere about the colonization of the Philippines by the Spanish, or else just the literal translation of said phrase "Touch me not".
Ok, I’ve decided. Stabbomancer/graveborn spell melee elemental build. Getting double spell casts which can afflict multiple elemental effects and deal melee damage. The melee damage then doing more elemental effects. I don’t know how it works but it seems like with graveborn and stab you can afflict 4 different elements at once with a spell (because of the dark damage from grave ability and then afflicting another element for each element you afflict), maybe more cause of the companion and then the melee damage from the stab cap stone will maybe proc 4 more elemental effects and the Demi litch may also proc the melee damage from spells, idk, and proc 4 more elements. Possible 16 elemental procs at once, maybe more? Idk, It seems awesome though. The several way to get back health or reduce damage from graveborn. The movement speed and high crit from stabbomancer. Always having kills skills active. I feel like it’d be a pretty nuts build. After that I’ll probably do a pet build.
I like the Status effect, damage synergy of Stabb/ claw...with fire and shock orbs like Amaras Remnant. But Spore and Stab look super strong with all the richocets that can crit which causes a status effect
@@genesis4322 3 also had 4 character at launch and 3 trees and eventually a 4th tree (12 to eventually 16 trees). That was their justification. In this game, you have one tree per class with the ability to get a second tree, but only 6 classes, which is half the number of trees that BL3 had at launch. So in my mind, the possibility of new trees via new characters is obvious with maybe even an option to get a third tree (if the level cap will increase past 40)
My thought is because they already have 6 characters at launch which is the most any other game had, they will give each character one more skill tree as it would add more possibilities than 1 more character would.
Duuuude, for sure gonna start and main this class, i love zane’s ability to do more damage while moving and zero’s melee abilities. Stabbomancer will be so fun
I actually really like the single skill tree for each character. It makes it more simple and easier to get the cooler skills towards the bottom. I think it’s also really nice because it could open for more characters since there’s not much you have to implement except for one skill tree. Unless they already said how many characters they have planned but I think it’s a nice and more simplistic style.
I just realised that with the right combinations you can basically create the classes from Destiny: Stabbomancer+Spore Warden=Hunter. Brr-zerker+Clawbringer=Titan. Spellshot+Graveborn=Warlock.
I just think it would have been cooler for the character to take a out a special stabbomancer knife when activating From the Shadows. Then they get to walk around and stab dealing massive damage but if they don't kill an opponent with it then they leave the stealth
Actually having two skill trees isn’t so bad imo. When I play borderlands, its kinda hard for me to decide what skilltree i should invest in when im just playing for fun. Having it go to only two makes it easier to decide, but i guess this also depends on the max level
3 skill trees is pretty overwhelming for basically everyone who doesn't Google builds, I kinda dig it this way as it's way easier to plan out your own build
Actually it's 15 possible combinations. Not 30. Why? Because (for example) Stab-Warden and Spore-Mancer are the same. So it's (classes)*(other classes)/(2 as half the combinations are the same). That makes 6*5/2 = 15. You're welcome.
If we get DLC classes, which can easily be done in Wonderlands compared to the other Borderlands games, I'd love an Artificer class called the Yarr'tificer, obviously it has a pirate theme.
so ive thought this for a long time now but the skill tree setup in this kinda shows it, i really think gearbox was testing more varied trees when they made battleborn. I would love to see them make even more classes and styles like they had in that game
One thing to say about the skill trees, this way is actually better if you think about it. Usually, you can't allocate points into more than two trees in any meaningful way, so we still get 2 trees for points in this game. Just now, instead of being stuck between 3 trees of synergies, we get up to 6 / 7 with DLC. It's also going to be easier for Dev's to balance each class since there is just one tree to focus on at a time. They'll be able to focus on balancing classes for subclasses and for main classing, without having to worry too much about how broke each individual tree is with it's combo of potentially 2 other trees. I think this is an incredibly healthy choice for the game PLUS it gives us more classes which I'm a huge fan. Wonderlands looks amazing, my nips are blown off.
Going by what this video covers, the stabomancer is going to be the most amazing character in borderlands history and that says something. Stabomancer will definitely be the first class I play
I’m going to replicate two of my DnD characters for my first two characters: Brr-zerker/either Stabomancer or Clawbringer for the first and Spore Warden/Stabomancer for the second
I am looking forward to Clawbringer, and then a Vladof Spellshot build for starting my regular single manufacturer fun, but my fuzzbutt was interested in this video for some reason, so I will be starting up a Stabbomancer as soon as I get a Cat head so I can be him. He is very stabby and very sneaky so it is perfect.
The ELUSIVE skills text "no lime tangerine" could be a reference to the phrase "noli me tangere" which is Latin for "touch me not" as spoken by jesus to Mary after his resurrection
Why is he saying 30 different combos when it’s only 15 is it because you can start with the opposite of the same combo and he counts that as a separate combination?
Both classes look neat, and the skills are interesting, but neither of them are exciting to me. I'll give the others a look, seems all the info is up on the website with point caps as well.
Definitely see some synergy’s even w the graveborn here too the capstone for gb activates kill skills and stabby has the kill skill on guarantee crit on melee and after you get that you get increased damage for everything for a short time so you spam short cd spells melee and keep killing possibly. I’ll pass still on stabby but still seems very thoughtful even if kind of similar to other trees in the past
@@Joltzdude139 awesome! I definitely felt you on not really liking the melee in bl3. I know it was kind of awkward how it was mapped out too as well when you did it on its own. I know you said you can spam it in the video but does melee feel better in this game?
I don't want to sound like a jerk but there isn't 30 combinations. 6 classes, you can chose 2 and there is no repetition (graveborn+stabbomancer is the same as stabbomancer+graveborn... there might be some slight differences but basically it's the same) So you get 6! / 2!*(6-2)! = 720/48 = 15 possibilities.
You said there's a total of 30 skill tree combinations, but if I can respec after obtaining the multiclass and can put the majority of my skills in the new class there would only be 15 combinations.
