It makes the Volca Bass even more powerful in a song! I actually already figured this out on my own and I almost thought I was the only one who did this! If you know about how chord progressions structures work (like a 1-4-5) you can tune each oscillator to match the chord and then switch them on or off when the chord comes up. It works great for with the PO-20
At one point, I dubbed the Sub 37 my bff but this lil guy is always there when I need him. He loves bus rides and long walks. I'm ready to show him this jam. Thanks man!
Dude! The Moog Sub 37 is the one, NON-little synth that I would absolutely love to own. Amazing synth. That is cool to hear that the vBass gets attention even though you have such a premium synth like 37. 😁👍🏻
Awesome! 🙂 Yeah, I hope to do more of these videos soon. Glad people find them helpful. What made you want to swap out the Nubass for the vBass? Just out of curiosity.
@@littleBIGsynths Mainly because NuBass hasn't got the sound I want for the EBM/Dark Electro /Industrial I want to fiddle with. NuBass is great for a guitarist wanting to experiment. Now I also noticed Volca Drum. It's another baby to want.
@@littleBIGsynths Well. now I have the Bass and the Volca mixer. Couldn't help myself so I bought the NTS-1 too. After fiddling one tiny screw away I won't be assembling it until my gf gets here. :)
your the shit, ese so glad the algorithm showed me the way to your channel but please more volca bass examples / tutorials i think everybody who has one can laern very much from your experience
Thanks, man! 😁 Glad you found my channel as well. I will definitely try and get more Volca Bass videos up soon. Stick around and stay tuned in for more. 👊🙂
thanks for this! I think I might "need" one now. :-) Borrowed one a while back but thought it sounded kind of distorted? At least with 3 vcos.. Oh well, still lots of synth for the money. Always getting good vibes from your videos. The coziest channel around!
Thanks, man! I really appreciate it. 😁 Yeah, the vBass can indeed sound like it has some sort of overdrive built in or something. Lol but with a little bit of tweaking (possibly some external FX) it can be a pretty nice little mono synth; it definitely has lots of character. Definitely worth picking up and trying out again... even more so if you can find one used for like $100. 😉
Didn't really consider one of these as I run bass in my setup from my Monotribe, but this is a game changer! Great demo, thanks! It makes me wonder if I can do something similar with a Volca keys patch by switching between the Octave and 5ths oscillators :)
Yeah, it's a neat trick for sure. The Monotribe has always seemed so awesome to me... never had a chance to pick one up... but I will have to someday soon. 👍🏻 Glad you enjoyed the video. Thanks for watching 🙂
@@littleBIGsynths I highly recommend the Monotribe, it seems so simple but that box has gotten many hours of use, every session i encounter new surprises, and the firmware updates (i think we're on the third release now) keep adding new capabilities - i'm driving it with a Microbrute and giving it's sound additional colour through the microbrutes VCO, patched through the line-in. i look forward to adding another 2 monotribes to my set up so i can daisychain them.
Oh. My. God. This is so close to some stuff I already do, but I never put the pieces together. Game changer!
Thanks for watching! 😃 Jam on!

Yeah, totally! 😎 Its always awesome when you can find unique ways to work around their limitations.
Thanks for this awesomw trick my friend!!!
You're very welcome! 😊👍 Thank you for watching.

littleBIGsynths I’ve since sold the Sub 37 but would highly recommend it to anyone. It was a lot of fun but needed money more lol
These kind of videos is right up my alley! I'm switching my NuBass for a Bass tomorrow. Need all the tip I can get.

woah really cool never thought of this
Yeah, it's a neat little trick that helps add a bit of flexibility to the vBass's sequencer. 😁👍🏻
So simple, so useful, thanks!!!
thanks for the tips !

Can you make more of these volca Vida, they are awesome.
Yes! Definitely more to come! Stay tuned. 😁
@@littleBIGsynths thanks man, I was about to sell my volcas, but decided to give it another shot, cause of your tutorials.
Oh, no! Hold on to them, man! They are so awesome! You just need to give them a chance. 😉👍🏻 lol Thanks for watching. 🙂
Neat!
Thanks! 😁
Good clean fun😀 cheers🐂💨💨💨💨💨💨💨💨
Cool!!!! Top tip😉
Thanks! 😀
I can't even input that single note sequence you did. It doesn't come out right.
Good demo ... of one of my least favourite volcas ... :/
Thank you! Hahaha I feel you! It is probably the least inspiring for me too.. BUT when it actually finds its place in a jam, it does a good job. 😁
