"So maybe it's not that you've been cheated out of an unlimited supply of time; Maybe it's almost incomprehensibly miraculous to have been granted any time at all." Easily one of the most powerful quotes I've ever heard.

I love the context you put of protecting the trust with your audience. It's something that I've been doing by not taking sponsorships purposefully, but something about the way you put it reaffirmed my decision for me. Thanks for this very valuable video!
I absolutely loved your videos! I watched a few and wanted to share that you have a Brazilian fan learning from you, especially during this phase of my life as I’m starting my own UA-cam channels. 😊 By the way, I was thrilled when I saw the screenshot of Allods Online. I’m a huge fan of Allods too, it’s such an awesome game! Sadly, I haven’t played it in years since I emigrated.
Hey Daya, thank you so much for helping us organize our crazy brains thanks for reading books so we don’t have to lol I have 18,000 on UA-cam but I’ve had 18,000 for a long time because of shorts. I just started my long form videos about three or four months ago, and I started buckling down. This is my goal. I know that I meant to be on UA-cam. I know that I meant to be a public speaker and people are meant to hear my story thank you so much for continuing the work that you do and for lighting a spark under our asses.
"Time is only valuable and well-spent if it is productive" is SUCH a huge burden to live by. It's really impossible. Really loved this video. I'll also check out the book. Great content!
Hey Deya, this is a masterclass! I have been incredibly touched by your soft/cozy entepreneur videos, and this one is really a clear step for achieving it, and avoiding burnout. I have had my share of burnouts since I work for myself, and for the last year I have been trying to learn a new way to work and ultimately, exist. You help a lot without even knowing, so thank you for everything you do. 🖤
@11:21 agreed, i think it can really affect your ability to have genuine relationships since you can start to see any interactions as prospecting oppurtunities
Not sure who said it-maybe Mark Manson or maybe I did-but it’s counterintuitive: accepting you can’t do everything at once and letting go of control makes you more productive. Trying to juggle it all is mentally draining and often leads to doing even less. And the thing is, no matter how much you hear it from others, you truly understand the meaning of it on your own with experiences. Btw my atelic activity is singing, or rapping randomly, and sometimes even recording it (which is actually something I can do without caring about money forever, and i've been doing it for more than a decade!) Btw, idk if you need suggestion about sponsorship or not, but I used to watch a channel called Electroboom and the way he started sponsorship was to giveaway products related to the niche (it is an electronic channel, he used to giveaway oscilloscope) through that sponsorship. Slowly he even started giving away to schools that couldn't afford it. It never felt weird to me a bit. Just a thought.
Surfing is my atelic hobby. I suck at it. I don't really care that much about getting better at it. And if I go out for an hour and don't catch a wave, that's fine because I just enjoy being in the ocean.
First time on your channel, and I have to say, your advice is spot on. Thanks for creating and sharing this video! If you haven’t already, I think you’d really enjoy the book Singletasking.
My favorite part of the book is when it dawns on you that you might not be the next elon musk. Realizing this was my first step to actually making an impact. The reduced pressure of “this has to be great” makes me more productive given my perfectionist tendencies, and by realizing this, I shifted my focus on other goals to moving forward. Deya I’m a fan of your work, 1 out of every 10 books you summarize I have read, I just think that reading the book is the biggest factor to enacting change and maybe less on the content side, it only takes one good thing that really stick to make a book worth it. With watching your videos, I consider thought time on the book is crucial for it to start sculpting your belief. I’d rather see you try and convince me to read the book, I think that would be truly helpful.
Watching this thinking, "I should read that book," and then finding out I read 2.5 yrs ago. Maybe, I should focus on applying it, instead of just reading it.
For me the most atelic thing. Ido is working in Figma building components. When I see how easily it gets to build a UI for user flow it makes me successfully happy.
Just discovered your channel. LOVED and specifically LOVED this video. “*You don’t have to justify your existence *“ ❤️🩹 that healed me as I’ve always struggled with that ‘saving the world’ idea which is a huge amount of pressure that makes no sense at the end 🤣 Anyways, thanks for the video! Will keep on watching cause your content is authentically useful and also beautiful as I resonate with your vibes 🌈💖

nobody should want to be the next Elon Musk specifically anyway, one was more than enough for the planet
Thanks for silencing the annoying voice in my head telling me that I should be building an audience on multiple platforms!
Oh dear! I am actually in that hamster wheel for past 1 week :0
Now I can see all the time wasted on productivity apps than actually working!
good realization to have! :)
This video popped up as I finished my time blocked calendar 😂
