Love the beautiful earrings and the beads you made in another video. Can some of these techniques work with Polymer Clay? Thank you for sharing your knowledge!
Hi Gloria, Yes, these techniques can work with polymer clay. Wanaree's textures work great with both metal clay and polymer clays. Thanks for your question!
Would love to see these textures used with Polymer Clay! Just substitute water for the oil as the resist on the texture plate, for assembly of the beads you mentioned you may need to semi-cure the pieces before combining them with a polymer clay glue.
Hi Tanya, if you search Wanaree Tanner on youtube, you should be able to find many videos of her both through Cool Tools, and her own company, Metal Clay Arts Conservatory. Thanks for watching!
Hi Deborah, Wanaree uses metric millimeters instead of a fractional system because metric is more precise especially in small increments. Thanks for your comment. Have a great day!
Where can I find the tubing to make these earrings? What is the OD and the wall thickness? I really want to make these! Your videos are so clear! Thanks
Hi... Thanks for your question. Here is a link to the products used in this video, the silver tube is listed. www.cooltools.us/Spinning-Henna-Bloom-Earrings-by-Wanaree-Tanner-s/2581.htm
Hi, we recommend using half hard tubing. The dead soft version will work for this project however, it will be more susceptible to dings when using to a forming plier or mandrel plier. Finishing the pieces in a tumbler will work hardened the silver and make it stronger. Either gauge of silver wire will work as long as the wire used will fit snuggly inside the silver tube. Thanks for your question!
Beautiful design! I didn't know that tubing could be bent like that without denting or collapsing! Does it need to be annealed first or will it work without?
Hello, with bending metal it's always best to anneal it; however it can be done without. The added wire inside makes the hollow tubing solid which prevents the tubing from kinking. Thanks for the question!
Hi- I purchased materials needed for these earrings from CoolTools. However, with regards to the ear wires and tube, the 20 g wire does not fit snugly inside of the tube. It is extremely loose fitting. Will that pose a problem in the future? I ordered the size that was recommended. Thank you!
Wanaree I love your designs and your tools, but most of all, you’re a great teacher!
You're such a good teacher, Wanaree! Smooth delivery! Brava!
Thanks so much Gina!!
I totally agree with you Gina!

Great tutorial!
I have a hard time figuring things out in Millimeters!
Me too!

Fantastic thank you..

Is the tubing dead soft or half hard? Is the wire 20 or 22 G, you say both. Thanks for responding, I really want to make these!
