    Karen, while this pendant is the central focus and is really beautiful, I have one question to ask. Is the ring on your right-hand one that you have made? It's really beautiful and very stylish.

    Great project! I'm just surprised that you show fiber blanket along with Superwool in the supply list on your website. Fiber blanket will adhere to EZ960 when fired on it or used through the bail. It would also be nice to show how to create a makersmark and hallmark.

    Why did you use paste to attach the bail but not to attach the stone? I would have used paste on the stone attachment as well for a more secure setting.

      Hi Celeste, whenever I'm attaching something to a textured background I avoid using paste if I can. EZ.960 bonds really strongly with just water and pressure, and I find it difficult to refine and clean up connections if paste gets into the low areas of the texture. I used paste on the connection for the bail to the pendant because that's a weight bearing connection so I wanted to thicken up the points of contact for extra support, and I wanted a more smooth transition from pendant to bail. Thanks for asking,
      Karen

    I know it's been a few years, but do you remember what size CZ you had? I'm still learning and I struggle with spacing and what sizes of stones will go with the sizes of templates and all that, so knowing the size of the CZ will help me visualize things better. Thank you!

    Is it still fired in a kiln? Can I only fire flat pieces with a torch?

    • @cooltoolsvideos
      @cooltoolsvideos  2 роки тому

      Hi Kathryn, this piece is fired in a kiln. EZ960 Sterling Silver requires a kiln. There are some fine silver clays that can be torch fired, even if they are not flat. Hope this helps!

    Karen, Great video, I really enjoyed it!! I played the one segment 3x,but still was unable to hear exactly what you said. Did you say you applied Wisk a way or Plain water to the attach the Bezel to the pendant???? Your ring is gorgeous!! Can't wait for that video!!

      Hi Terri,
      Thank you so much!
      I'm so sorry that wasn't clear! The bezel was attached to the pendant with water on a brush. I just use a water dish that's called The Wick-Away that has a handy sponge on one side of it to control the amount of water on the brush.
      Thanks again,
      Karen

      @@cooltoolsvideos Karen, Thanks for your reply. I did go back & viewed your list of items used, and saw the Wick A Way listed. I still keep thinking about that video, and how you did things. I am going to have to try it!!
