I need to replace a clip because it seems to be bent. The previous owner did it when he removed the trim. So am I understanding right when that to remove the clip all I need to do is pull them out with a needle nose?

They have a little latch on them, if its bent it may pop right off. The clips lock into a stud that is welded to the body. A little screw driver could be used to lift that little tab up.

This is such a huge mess on my 68, guess the vinyl top rotted and held moisture. I am guessing POR 15 topcoat will due rather than the real top, starting under this trim, they had a flat black in their high heat collection, just for the top I think it's best not to undercoat it with real por 15 like the rest of the car.

Same here on my 63. Top hot water under it and rusted the top on the back. Sucks to. Cars 100% solid except the rust under. So I have to remove all the roof chrome and rear window and I’m lost lol
