Flying To The Most Northern Town In The USA | BARROW, ALASKA On The Alaska 737-800

- Today we're heading to a very interesting destination, Barrow, also known as Utqiagvik, in Alaska. This town is the northern most town in the United States and is located 300 miles above the arctic circle. Visiting Barrow in the summer time meant there would be 24 hours of sun light and despite being summer, it was still around 8 degrees celsius. Alaska Airlines operate two daily flights to Barrow, one on the 737-800 and one on the E175, however back when I flew this flight there was only the one daily 737-800.

great video! and a super cool livery!
This trip report captures the beauty of modern aviation and AK. For an isolated town to be connected to the entire world by a single 737 is incredibly powerful.
Beautiful trip report on the Alaska 737 😎👍
Thank you
Great video. A good mix of airplanes and history/ scenery. Thanks much!
Flew into Anchorage with Delta Air Lines on a B757 back in the day. Went on an organised small group camping trip lasting 9 days, took a trip in a Beaver floatplane and absolutely agree it's the best and most scenic of all the United States I've seen thus far. Keep up the good work.
I want to go to Alaska now
It's 100% worth it
It’s worth it it has a lot of stuff to do in Anchorage, Fairbanks, kotzebue, Juneau and bethel and I normally fly to OTZ around July 1st to do 4th and a special run that the town does to my cousin who has down syndrome
What an adventure that is to go on.
Absolutely
Beatiful ❤
Thank you
Made this trip many of times. LOL'd when you said that Eider was a stones throw away because in the winter it is the longest walk ever! To the west of AA is Wright's Air, they were who I flew to get to Wainwright for a project I was on. Super cool video and was nice to see BRW again!
I have a GeminiJet of that Alaska livery.
Nice!
I gotta visit Alaska. Washington state, Oregon, and Alaska are on my “go visit” states that I have remaining
Absolutely, that whole area is one of my favourites
An excellent video!
