She puts an enormous amount of pressure on herself to fix everything and or blames herself the moment it doesn't work out. She never really gets to think about herself. It's always about everyone else. Such a good heart which is why i think everyone is so into the Catilyn ship because it's like about damn time someone thought about her and sympathized with her.
Everyone empathizes with Jinx because her pain is seen; Jinx screams, cries and doodles along with other effects are there for the viewer to understand her, but what about Violet? She holds back and concentrates all her anger and pain in the training, whose only goal is to make her strong enough to take care of others. Violet is a very misunderstood character; I want to throw up my liver when I hear or read that they say she is "bad sister" because she is NOT, she was a child taking care of other children, child who was exposed to much of what Powder and more. Everyone put pressure on her... Piltover, Vander and even Jinx, blaming her for being the one who created it, even more, much more responsibility on her shoulders... Caitlyn is a blessing for Vi because she is the first one who manages to understand how much she carries on her shoulders, which is what Violet already needed... Especially now that she's going to feel responsible for what her sister has become. Those who think that Vi is bad, did not understand the character, it seems that they must put things in front of them and with many posters, otherwise they cannot see them. If Vi makes one mistake (hitting Powder) they already condemn her, but if Powder makes many mistakes, they love her. It is not a question of thinking if one is bad or good, both are affected, but.... The sociopath is Jinx, that's undeniable, a reality, and that's something Vi will probably carry in her conscience forever, as if it was her fault. I've thought that the reason why Vi empathized so much with Powder as a child, was because Violet felt guilt about everything; about being weak, about not being able to have protected her parents, about her situation, about not being able to see her sister grow up in a better place, ... Inciting her to take responsibility, to act; she understood Powder because she feels guilt too, and she didn't want Powder to feel it, because Vi knows how heavy it is.
i don't know if anyone noticed this detail before but the scene where vi is in prison and she has 516 written on her shirt (inmate number) if you think about it, her VI tattoo is written in roman numerals V=5 and I=1 then 5+1=6 inmate 516. i did not notice this till the other day but its by far my favourite hidden detail they've put in this show.

It showcases Vi now, *how* (her fighting spirit) and *why* (her trauma and training) she is the way she is. she doesnt use her fighting to try to make anything better anymore (from what she learns from Vander), she uses it for defence, and instead uses negotiation to try to work things out, even if she may not be the best at it. Especially at 2:38, you added in the line where she says, "I was so stupid to think it could change", she cant accept or believe change can happen with the undercity, yet she thinks Jinx can change and wouldnt accept ekko's obvious advice. And afterwards, Jinx says, "Silco thinks he made Jinx, but he didn't make Jinx, you did.", and "Things changed when you left, I changed". It's such a hard-hitting punch towards Vi, she accidentally caused Powder to change into Jinx, and has to be dealt with the realization that Powder is so far gone, and Jinx, with a more developed and independent brain than Powder, cant possibly change that easily, or if not at all. Her relationships with others and their relationships with others ultimately led to here, Vi brought up herself in prison, away from her sister but deep down inside she needs and cares for her. it's such a contrast to Jinx, yes, Vi gave birth to the Jinx inside of her, but Silco just polished it further, as implied, Powder is very dependent and sees everything for, and by her sister, and because Vi accidentally "abandoned" her, she became/changed into the opposite. Change is an undertone and looming prospect or fear for the main characters in Arcane, especially for Vi since it dominates her current life. the way you were able to incorporate it subtly into this edit is applaudable. and not to mention as well this edit is mainly about Vi, and who she is now because the present is most important, but implementing scenes from her past just to define who she is now is also vital and done so admirably. Thank you for another one of the profound and timeless edits I can be proud to say I watched through.
