- When I visited Zungoli, I was fortunate to find a lot of friendly and helpful people. I arrived without notice to find cheap 1 euro homes and got more than I expected. I met with the mayor and his staff who toured me around the historical center in search for 1 euro home in ancient Zungoli.

There’s a lot of potential in this community. I loved all the medieval arches and stone. Beautiful. The lady sitting outside was so cute!
Very very interesting and that last part with the stones was beautiful. Thank you David.
Very nice people 👌
Yes. They pretty much dropped everything they were doing to help me that day!
Ohh DauvO bella la casa!! LE porte sono belle Grazie amico!!
How much to renovate
Interesting...Thank you...
Ouu dear! I am so interested! I love Italy! I would love to buy one with balcony, on the sunny side of the street! I am a painter.... Will find my own peace! Where should I start looking!! Thank you so much for everything!
Are you compling a list of cities/towns that are offering these homes? My wife and I have goal and dream of acquiring a few more rentals here in the US and then embarking on some adventures including sailing.... Would love to find a town in Italy (Sicily Actually, my family is from San Pier Neceto) to have a Europe home base and if it can be close to the Med (Doesn't have to be on it, but 30 min drive to and hour away would be great) that would be a great spot for us
Does the town provide a list of contractors? Just trying to understand how a foreigner would find a contractor to do the renovation.
Hi JJ. Yes they could easily provide this type of information. If you went there, it would be possible also to contact one if the contractors that is working on a project currently and see their work in progress
Mantap👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Still available?
Send me a link to contact the council
Maybe too late but in the beginning he names the mayor of the city of Zungoli, and you can easily google the contact of the council yourself. But even in times of covid it is better to be on site before making an offer….

buy a pig in a bag...it may not be a pig
The municipality provided on the site pages of the 1€ houses also the cadastral information including the tax renevue when available (I spotted one with 119€ renevue and another without info), so any future buyer can calculate how much taxes he/she should pay if purchasing the house. Very professional. 🤔
Thanks for adding that Raffaele! The rendita catastale of each house is bound to increase after the renovation is done, but at least the initial taxes can be calculated.
Good job. One of the advantages of this town it's not far from Amalfi cost too or even closer beautiful area with amazing views and beaches
It doesn't look like any of the purchasers have started their renovation work. Is it a new program?
This is their third round of 1 euro home sales. You're right though that the properties haven't yet started their projects. I did see projects in other sections of town that might be connected to 1 euro home projects.
They were probably still waiting for the "bill of sale". Without that, they can't start any work.
Finally MY type tiny homes!!! 😍🍻
Yep! They are small, but pretty unique!
Now people can see where were hidden all the people missing in the previous video about Zungoli... 🤣🤣🤣
Haha ...'There they are!' hiding I'm the historical center
I'm going to buy one incase a civil war breaks out here in the US.
Then I'll have a safe place to squat lol
Does the town decide who is getting the house 🏡 or first comes first served.ty for answering
It's more of a first come first served situation with Zungoli. They've had thousands of requests for information with only a handful of houses for sale at any given moment. You can find a link in the description to their list of properties and then there is a interest form. It's in Italian however.
@@DauvO you're doing great with your channel.Just make videos Italy is beautiful.
I think this is my favourite neighbourhood, so far. How does this compare to Sicily for you?
Sicily is nice that the beaches are so close. I particularly like being in the peninsula, but for vacation purposes, I am leaning towards Sicily. We could work together to get some more people to move to Zungoli and it would become a really cool town however

DauvO seems like there’s lots of foreigners moving there already? You mentioned there’s been a few rounds of 1 euro houses sold.
Are the 1 euro properties popular with Italians buyers? Or mostly foreigners?
Love the detail of your videos. Thanks for sharing! Subscribed!!!
Thanks DauvO!
No problem.
Can you send me the link to contact the agent
Hello! I wanted to know how did it take for them to respond to you before you came? I’m very interested which website did you find the homes?
Well, I actually just showed up in town for this video and they connected me that day to the mayor and his staff. I know they had requests in the thousands.. so responding through email was a major challenge. Especially if you don't write in Italian.
@@DauvO Thank you so much! We’re you able to bid on the property you wanted and if so how much did you pay? I’m thinking the same around September to come out that way.Thank you for responding
