First i would like to thank you for your time & effort to squeeze this in your day and share it with us. Amazing genuine reaction as usual. Yes he was talkin about the hypocricy & corruption of those with religous & political authority..Below are three tracks that I hope you’ll be able to add them to your list (since you extended 2pac week):
    - Shed So Many Tears
    - Only Fear Of Death
    - Hail Mary

It really depends on who’s listening to the music. One rappers message may seem powerful to one listener but not to another. As with beauty being in the eye of the beholder, a messages power is within the ear of the listener.
List of a few that I think are better at delivering a "message" - Big Daddy Kane, Rakim, The Roots, Chino XL, Prodigy. It all depends what message you're searching for

Yep… this was not jut his breaking with tradition (a few of the Outlawz, Yafeu Fula ‘Kadafi’ , Mutah ‘Napoleon’ and his step father Mutulu Shakur were all Muslim converts)… but in several songs he talks about his homies “swearing on their gods” so he didn’t subscribe to any religion, and most likely was an agnostic, but respected and referenced the religions he and his “family” (in the Vin Diesel sense) grew up with…

You hit the nail on the head. One of the original drafts of the album has the title written out as "Blast 4 Me". Makaveli is suppose to be more so the rebirth of 2Pac after dealing with deception from his homies. It was more so a second coming where as 2Pac (the stage name, not Tupac the birth name) was dead. Hence the term Makaveli based on the Italian diplomat that wrote The Prince. He intertwined religion into this. There is a part of his 1995 Vibe interview where he talked about religion and basically states that he believes in God but he doesn't confirm to all the narratives about what is good and what is bad and how God judges. Hence Only God Can Judge Me. From my standpoint he was a firm believer but knew it was a rigged system to keep people in line. And he made the mention of "why does God need Gold ceilings and colored windows to talk to me". Basically detailing how people use religion to gain wealth and make these extravagant buildings. Where as a merciful and sympathetic God that is truly loving wouldn't place emphasis on where you pray and reach him. Good reaction! Keep at it.

Love your reactions and you methodically breaking down every line. It's great to see the newer generations understanding and respecting Tupac. When he died it wasn't always clear he was going to get the respect he deserved outside of the hip hop community. He was a prolific writer. These songs become even more amazing when you understand the rate in which he churned them out. Most of these songs are written and recorded in under an hour. Dr.Dre said he wrote his "California Love," verse in 10 minutes. Snoop said he wrote "2 of America's most wanted," in about 20. Biggie once told a story about when they were friends, that he went to see Tupac at his hotel and Pac got up to go use the restroom and came back out about 30 or 40 minutes later and had written 3 songs. It was pouring out of him. Then add in the fact he was recording most of these in one take. He would go back through and layer the vocal, something no other rapper was doing at the time and every single one does now, but the main vocals for most of these were one take.

Great Reaction Homie, It was very enjoyable to see the light bud go off once u realized what kind of song u was listening to. The whole scheme of the song was metaphor of Pac comparing his life story to that of Jesus out of the bible, which would be considered Blasphemous. U are right that the title Blasphemy was a homophone for Blast For Me. So many double entendres thru out. I'm breakdown just a couple. "Niggas in Jerusalem waiting for signs, God coming she just taking her time. Living by the Nile watching water flow". God's coming she just taking her time, double entendre referring to how women are known to be late because they take their time of getting ready and its also a sexual reference God's coming (cumming), she just taking her time, notice how Pac laugh after he said that. The other breakdown is the part "living by the Nile watching water flow" the Nile is a homophone so the Nile river but also Denial, the people in Jerusalem waiting on signs because they are in living in denial thinking God's (a she) coming coming back, according to Pac. Also, the line you was trying to get in the beginning of the 3rd verse was "when the preachers getting freaky, you say honor Gods people".

Killuminati is my favorite hip hop album of all time! Fun fact btw! The artist was supposed to be “Makaveli Tha Don” and the album title is “Killuminati: The 7 Day Theory.” It was a miss print and it gets logged being titled as “The Don Killuminati.” If you get a chance listen to the original concept of the Makaveli album which originally was gonna have more songs on it. Songs like “Friendz” “When Thugz Cry” “Watch Your Mouth” among others were originally gonna be on it.

"Brothers getting shot coming back resurrected this is that raw shit nigga check it" this refers to himself when he was shot in quad studios. He went up to the elevator and saw the looks on biggie and puffys faces they were surprised he survived the attack. He basically saying he came back resurrected they were shocked he survived he then proceeded to roll up a bloody blunt and they were looking at him crazy. He basically saying he did everything jesus did but in real life he's making a parallel there. After this man died he basically was given sainthood unofficialy by the people. Theres murals of him in every country on earth. Man he was a beast a supreme lyricist everything these people rapped about he actually lived it.

The GOAT hands down not for his lyrics or album sells but because of his massive influence in this game called life........And hip hop. Honestly they both go hand and hand only if you the artist makes it that way. You can rap about BS or Life. When you Rap about life a whole new door opens up for the artist and the people who listen.

I think there’s a big misconception about Tupac rapping about his death, and the time he got shot in NY. Mostly due to a lot of the music being released after his death.
But in his music, specifically in this song, “getting shot coming back resurrected” is referring to getting shot in NY, almost dying. And coming back with a vengeance, his music became more aggressive calling rappers out by name. Suge knight… 😐. As a teen it was a cool fantasy to wish he was still alive and giving us clues.

Hey! About the Jerusalem reference. I think he was laughing at the irony of it. It's hilarious to him as he is religious but I think he feels otherwise sometimes because God doesn't help him. As you hear throughout this song. But this is IMO of course 😀
This is why scholars study his music. Only a few can really decipher him and you are one of them. I can tell you're well educated. I appreciate your time.
