Exactly my thoughts, so why not the charity shops. Sending working, functional items, albeit a bit tatty, to landfill is heartbreaking. Secondhand is brilliant and turned into bespoke high end items is the cherry on top... As the saying goes, one mans' trash et al 😉😉
Good job with the ladder! Not sure whether it made sense to put so much effort into twisting the springs if they could have made cool lights in their original shape.
I found an old ladder in somebody’s trash, splattered with paint and one leg was rotted on the bottom. Saw them all off even and said it in my garden with plants on every step. Left the old paint because it looked great.
Maybe this is her payment/ministry to the world (showing people how to make money from their cast-offs, giving them the money, paying the makers and supporting local business by buying parts, matrtial, and services from them).. And remember she has a store of a sort and seemingly a large customer base, so she may make enough money to support herself with that.

It is so inspiring to see what these makers come up with and the voice over is entertaining and so funny. I enjoy watching this so much!
seeing perfectly good items getting tossed in garbage is horrible- we are already overconsuming our world into oblivion

That lamp was awesome.
Bravo! It keeps getting better and better!
I love Becks!
Loved the ladder transformation and the lamp
Finally! I get to see Sarah with a haircut that suits her.
I loved them all, but that industrial style lamp was my fav 😍 👌❤️
Loved watching this again
Very talented craftsman!
The lamp is stunning❤
Wow, very first episode!

The horse isn't from a U.S. that I've ever seen or heard of.
How does she support herself? She gives all her profit away?
She is a t.v. show host, so she is paid well for her services
So, I'm Not sure how she's making money off her finds, if she gives the money back to the dumpster people (?)
She is paid by the production company
