Dude, this is EXACTLY what I want to make for my friends birthday lol. I've made the instructions but now I'm curious about how I can make the box, although it's a very small Lego set.
some notes:
-no dithering? Seems quite a fundamental function for these kinds of works...
-bricklink "auto completion" is quite bad at optimizing the cost of your orders: you should start with your most numerous or most expensive part and search the shops that have those for the cheapest. Also, keep in mind that the stores have delivery fees, handling fees and sometimes paypal fees.
-lego "pick-a-brick" is rarely the cheapest option: if you have access to a lego official store, or even better a legoland park, you can buy lego by volume or by weight.
-always consider wether a color can be swapped for a considerably cheaper one: for example, you could save 5$ by replacing the technic bases with nougat ones.
-If you live in Europe and you are planning on buying more than 300€ of lego, it is almost always cheaper to fly to Billund and buy everything at the legoland store: you are paying a 30%-50% surcharge on everything for not living in Denmark. If you are planning to buy sets, keep an eye on amazon germany, all sets are discounted around 30% and often hit 50%.
