Hello everyone, welcome to my channel. Like so many others, my lifestyle changed due to the pandemic.
Before the pandemic, my families lives had become so hectic & busy that there never seemed to be a good time to travel anymore. Somewhere along the line we realized that our last vacation was in 2011. We decided that it was time we made some travel plans.
Then the pandemic hit! I no longer wanted to travel by plane or stay in a hotel. We decided that a bettter and safer alternative would be to travel in our own vehicle, one that we could also sleep in, cook our own meals in, vacation in. The rest is history!
However, the RV shopping process is not easy and required a lot of research. I want to share what I have learned along with my ongoing experiences and adventures through my channel which offers:
RV tours / walkthroughs
Camping destinations
Hiking
RV modifications & DIYs
RV Cooking
And much more…..
So I invite you to come along with me on this ongoing RV journey.
Ruby I look more forward to your videos than anyone else I’m subscribed to. Thx for the uploads.
Thanks for the warm compliment and Thanks for Watching my videos!
Awesome thanks for sharing we truly appreciate you 😁

Hello Jennifer & Darryle, Thanks for the warm words and Thanks for watching my videos!
Very helpful, Ruby. Thank you.
You're so welcome! Glad it was helpful. Thank you so much for watching!
Just received this bad boy two weeks ago and been enjoying it. Took it camping a week ago and all was good, the lithium was nice!!!. YOLO!! No regrets…now let modding start
Congrats, I have posted a series of modifications videos that might give you some ideas. Thanks for Watching!
great video very informative. Hopefully they put specs on websites finally sometime in the future.
I agree and am also surprised that Thor does not post the specs before they send to the dealerships. Thanks for Watching!
While been off the grid can I use a Honda 2,200 Inverter generator to run the Coach remember no shore power available just the Honda generator....
Hi Ruby, do they have any of them 4x4 mercedes with the bathroom in the back? And would it be about the same price?
Thanks inadavance.
Hello Bryan, I have not seen any rear baths on the Mercedes platform but I agree that would be a great layout as well. Thanks for Watching!
Thanks for the comparison. Thor web site has no info on PT, so it is very helpful. Thanks to Thor for offering both diesel and gasoline options, because I personally prefer gasoline.
It is good to have the option especially with diesel prices today. Thanks for Watching!
Can you pls make a review on how the backseat? I have 2 kids I wanna make sure it's comfortable for them.
Great job as always. 4k difference in price? Would have thought more. I have to wonder if the price of diesel is gonna start impacting sales.
That's exactly what I was thinking
Hello David, The Ford platform is very new to Thor and I expect that you will see the price go down after a few months. I agree that diesel is getting expensive now. Thanks for Watching!
Another stellar review Mrs. Ryker mom! Can't believe the Mercedes is only a few K cheaper than a ford? That's with a 4WD. Is it because the cost of a diesel engine and gas is so much significantly more now?
Hey Danny, I think it is because the Ford is relatively new to Thor but it could also have some thing to do with the cost of diesel as well. Thanks for Watching my videos!
Compared the Ford 19pt with 2022 Zion set?
t really depends on your needs as the 19pt is on the Ford AWD platform with plenty of power and torque while the Roadtrek Zion SRT is on the Dodge platform which is front drive and not as much power or torque, but it does have more room inside, So think about how you will use it and which layout you prefer. For me that would be the 19pt. Thanks for watching!
Dear Ruby 🌹The Ford Engine is a killer 👍
Hello Max, I agree that with the price of diesel continuing to go up the Ford turbo V6 engine is looking like a great option. Thanks for your support!
I’d maybe have buyers remorse on my 19P - if the 19PT had more ground clearance.
The v6 twin turbo imho is probably quicker by a large margin. But also more of a guzzler.
Sorry, not sure about the engine yet. Thanks for Watching!
@ John Seltz: IMO, the Ford EcoBoost V6 gas engine is the BEST engine available for a Class B RV. Conversely, the worst engine is a naturally-aspirated V6 -- such as the naturally-aspirated (N-A) Pentastar in the ProMaster-based Class Bs (and that's a LOT of the Class Bs out there!) -- as it's noticeably anemic.
While that probably doesn't matter for Class B owners in mostly flat/low-altitude states, it sure does matter up here in the "hills" of Colorado: The EcoBoost moves a Class B up inclines WAY better due to its increased power, and the boost (turbo) helps due to less oxygen in the air in higher elevations (normally, you loose ~3% of engine power for every 1000ft of elevation). Consequently, a turbo engine mitigates that power loss to a great extent whereas a N-A engine doesn't/can't.
Where I live in CO (almost 7000ft above sea level) my Jeep (with the same V6 N-A Pentastar engine the ProMaster Class Bs have) loses ~ 21% of its sea-level power. That's substantial, and my Jeep (Gladiator Rubicon, a mid-size truck) isn't as big & heavy as a typical Class B. The EcoBoost engine is the clear winner for mountainous areas/higher altitudes...even though for sure -- like you say -- when the turbo kicks in it's a gas-guzzler.
But that just illustrates a truism: "There are always trade-offs."
Happy Class B-ing...WHATEVER engine is has. ;-)

Just received my 2023 19P sprinter two weeks ago and been enjoying it. YOLO!! No regrets…time to start the mods
The Ford does have the better HP and torque output of the main 3 platforms out there now. When I drove my Tellaro out west I had a chance to travel through many mountains and also found that the Ram just struggled too much. Thanks for Watching!
What about cost?
Hello Fremen, The prices are on the windshields. Thanks for Watching!
👍👍👍👍👍
Thanks for Watching!
I tow a jeep on a trailer and the Ford is the only one capable of towing at capacity up hill.
The Promaster is very Anemic loaded going up hill as is the Mercedes.
This is a nice comparison between the Brands.
Thanks for the compliment. I tow a Ryker and would agree that the Promaster was a bit weak but I have found that the Mercedes was fine at towing. With more HP and Torque, I would imagine the Ford would be even better. Thanks for Watching!
I've seen so many people complaining about the poor workmanship on these. Especially when you consider they are $100k+.
Unfortunately, I have heard of people having issues as well and even I have had a few issues to fix. Thanks for Watching!
I like the Mercedes.
I agree, I still prefer the Mercedes. Maybe if Thor optioned the Ford chassis with more comfort items it would be closer for me. Thanks for watching!
Ups SRT
Thanks for Watching!
Ford seems low end and not worth the price. Good luck selling a diesel with the price of a gallon. Regular gas will be $6 by Labor Day , diesel will be pushing $8 gallon. No relief until the current bunch is out of office. RV industry is headed for rough times
Hello Michael, I have not had a chance to try the Ford yet but I agree that diesel is getting expensive. Thanks for Watching!
Why does everything have to be political? Presidential administrations do not affect gas and oil prices, this is a fact and not debatable. Educate yourself.
