the disadvantage in compare with an ebike is that you can't lock this scooter outside when you go to the shop for a few minutes. You have to take it with you all the time and it's quite heavy for that. They should attach a metallic circle big enough to use a chain with a lock.

This! Why shouldn't we use the path when its safe to do so, if there's someone on the path I just go slow, give them a wide birth or go onto the road simple. Glad your enjoying the M4 mate!
I feel you dude, its so annoying isn't it. Took the scooter out yesterday for 5 minutes and came back me and the scoot completely covered in mud. Bring on summer!!
I found one of these that’s 800 watt with 200kg max load. Yes I wrote to the seller and specifically asked about that actual scooter , to make sure it wasn’t 120. Kg. They confirmed 200kg Am not that, am about 128 kg . 195 cm tall 6.4 so watching this gives me a great idea of the kind of scooter it is. Virtually identical design. Nice 1 Billy mate been desperately searching for the right type of scooter for absolutely ages and there's just too many to choose from and the more I get into searching the more I realise there's a whole lot more that I need to consider before going ahead and buying whats going to be my very first e scooter and at the age of 41 and 15 stone I need to have a scooter with a seat which brings me to my ultimate question... is the kugoo m4 pro the right scooter or do I go for the Kugoo G Booster or neither.?
Hopefully Kugoo have sorted the problem with the Booster, I would say go with that. Has more than enough power to pull you up most hills(around 2.7kw on full charge) Beware though as it is very fast on pick up for a first scooter and it comes with a seat. Its not as portable as an M4 though so its bit of a trade off. I love the M4 for practicality, just needs a little bit more torque. Maybe take a look at the Solar P1 too
I have the engwe y600 which is probably almost the same thing as this. I love it. Ride it everywhere. Im shocked its illegal in the UK, as here in america they're everywhere and legal. Hopefully rules change for you all over there
@@bill-e6114 Quick reply! Thanks. Just trying to guage what it is like to carry. I have an S1 pro which is 12kg.. but its not the outright weight that makes it hard to carry, but just how the weight is distributed if that makes sense! Have you had any experience trying to take it on train or up a flight of stairs?
@@pianostool44 I have taken it up a flight of stairs and its really not too bad. The weight is even on this, probably due to a larger battery. It's just a lot of weight to carry with one hand(which is the only way it can be carried without it being awkward). I think you would get used to it and become slightly stronger in the process ;)
When the scooter is folded its really easy to carry up stairs i run mine up 2 flights of stairs up and down daily with ease not that heavy and folds up really well
Ive got the normal version of this scooter been riding it for a few months now really good scooter just make sure to maintain it and tighten screws often and its actually 54 volt fully charged and the gears also seem to give it more torque at them speeds so quickest way to get to 30mph is to use the gears cycle through them
@@bill-e6114 there is a lot of scams on eBay though. That’s what I’m worried about do I don’t know if I am better off buying off amazon I’m not sure. What do you think.
No, its not water proof only splash proof so I wouldn't recommend riding in heavy rain. light rain is usually okay. The tyres are air tyres with innertubes
Thanks bud, I paid £600 on ebay but I've just looked and there is a listing for £550 if you don't mind waiting a while for it. Or there is one for £575 and one at £610 both with quicker delivery
Thanks for the review. Are the tyres tubeless? When searching, I can locate tubeless tyres for it, but are unable to locate this in the specs. Thanks again for the great review.
Just brought this scooter but it won’t charge any advice? I have to use a uk to European adapter to charge I think I need a 13 amp socket, anyone else had this issue too? The scooter just shows green when I put it on charge
Hello. Thank you for the review. I ordered the scooter. How can I check if the version with the 16 mAh I ordered is really 16 or the seller sent a version with a lower battery.
Definitely a full face helmet and gloves, that's what I have. Remember these scooters are basically mopeds, come off at 20mph plus and land on your chin and its game over man
Came off my m365 at top speed 3 months ago and badly bruised my femur (still have a lump) along with severe whiplash, helmet and gloves defo saved me from more serious injuries 👌
On a level,no lies...my fella has one of these and it's hitting 85-90 kmh!!!! It equates to about 50mph. ..iv actually felt it ans seen it in the screen!!!
@@pavel7284 For sure, you can get the indicator to read a higher speed by changing the P6 setting while in P-mode. This simply manipulates the assumed wheel diameter and, consequently, the algorithmically derived speed indication. However, this does absolutely nothing to the scooter's power and ACTUAL speed. However, idiots seem to fall for this crap all the time.
Can you do a really short video on just gear 1? I think its so annoyingly slow, and I'm wondering wear you might actually want to use gear 1 if anywhere. This probably doesn't even need a video response. Im just curious because I want to buy one.
Yes your right, there is no difference really in torque or anything that I have noticed between gear 1, 2 and 3 except for speed. You can modulate speed anyway with the throttle in gear 2 and 3, so I rarely use gear 1
Hmm not in parallel unless you add an identical battery to what is in the deck, you can use any other 48v battery but you must unplug the deck battery first
As long as it doesn't have the god awful drum brakes it'll be half decent at stopping. Drum brakes on scooters are a bad idea the cable comes out when you go over any bump/crack.
Great video, thinking of getting rid of my xiaomi and upgrading to one of these, this vid has pretty much made my mind up. I commute 9 miles to work on the m365 no problem, just need more speed! Lol. Great to see peoples reactions to it, I've found its about 60/40 in favour of haters, but its worth it when an 80 yr old man says 'ride em cowboy' 😂😂
Thanks man! They are really good for the money... granted they have their issues but what scooter doesn't. Glad I could help and sway you over from the M365. I don't think you'll regret it. Your right bud, definitely a lot of haters out there and it really gives you a buzz when some ones really smiling as you whiz past them 😀
have you ever ridden an m365? if so, how does this compare? how does the m4 handle pot holes etc, not sure if the suspension would be good enough i’m looking to upgrade from my m365 pro, i’ve looked at a ton of scooters but now i’m contemplating the m4 as it’s more affordable compared to what i’ve been looking at (dualtron mini, zero 9, emove cruiser)
I have never ridden an M365 Pro or the standard M4 but I will answer as best I can. The M4 Pro suspension is very good for what it is and it handles potholes really well with 10" high and 3" wide nobbly air filled tyres. My only problems are the looseness on the stem which I can't workout how to tighten yet, because of this it can feel a bit rickety at times. It is heavier than Xiaomi so you'll definitely notice that when carrying it around. I don't think you'll be disappointed if you can put up with these issues. Its faster and will go further
@@thew4rrior5code I've literally just refunded my brand new m365 pro 2 and am going to get a kugoo m4 pro but I will say the best feature was the folding stem system on m365 was solid as considering no suspension 🤷♂️

@Billy Reeves Hi mate, I just seen this video AFTER i sent you the first message 🤦🏻♂️ Thank you for the great video. Two questions though please, Billy. 1, where on ebay did you buy it. And 2, do the side lights that you had to tape up always stay on? I would have thought there would have been a way to turn them off. They would defo be cop magnets haha.
Hi again bud! Thank you so much! The seller I bought off has no more in stock right now. I would recommend searching eBay for "UK only" listings to find sellers that have stock in the UK as your protected with PayPal and eBay. The RGB lights switch on with the main lights and there is no way to turn them off without opening the scooter. Hope I've been of some assistance🙇♂️
These batteries are 54.6v when fully charged, so if I travel some distance let's say 3 miles I and lose 3 volts off my battery voltage it is then at 51.6v. So that tells me I used around 20% of my batteries capacity. These batteries are empty at around 40v
I don t have any ideea how long to keep in charge for the first this scooter and it sat on my garage while now as want to charge it correctly . Does anyone know the first time charging time for kugoo m4 pro? Thanks
Your charger will take as long as it needs to charge and then will automatically stop charging once the battery voltage is at around 54.6v. The charger stops when it hits full charge, so no need to worry about it too much. Just supervise it whilst charging and don't charge overnight
Thanks for your replay...much appreciated. The batteries are different than phone batteries. Are chances that this type of the batteries that are inside of an scooter to not have "memory"
Yeah that goes for the first charge, cells will balance at the end because of the bms and thats what you need to do on a first charge. Bms is like the battery computer that keeps it healthy. The charger can only go to 54.6v so the battery can't be overcharged. Normal charges to 90% will help the battery last longer, try to never empty the battery completely as that can damage the battery
thinking of getting this, to travel to work, but i will need to go right past a plod station, have you ever been stopped? what would be the outcome, a fine or would it be confiscated?
No never been stopped, I would say unless you know whats behind you always go around 15mph. It could be either or both, but more likely they will send you on your way with a telling off. Though I've heard its best just not to stop as they can't really chase you

Hello mate was wondering if you could do a vid on the minor fixes that need doing to the scooter for those of us who are thinking of getting one of these or already have one. P.s I’ll have mine arrive in about 3/5 days and can’t wait 🙌🏼
Will do one soon buddy. I have so far, tightened everything I can and realigned the disk brake caliper. I've had the wheel off already to see how the stem tightens but there is nothing on the pro compared to the standard M4 that you can tighten. Looks like we may be stuck with a slightly wobbly stem. Let me know how yours is once you've unboxed it👍
@@adampatrick6369 There is, I've looked into this and it seems there is a washer missing on the the stem from factory. This requires taking the handlebars off and getting access to a bolt via extension bars. As soon as I've sorted, I will put a video up about it
I have this and the xiaomi and honestly the latch on the xiaomi did my head in I had to send it back to xiaomi for repair and went and purchased this to replace that. If it wasn’t for the latch I’d still keep the xiaomi as it did the job. But the speed increase is definitely worth it.
Three speed modes. Around town I run in mode 1 (under 20 kmph), max 2 (under 30 kmph); NEVER 3 around town. While in the country side on the farm back-roads I sometimes move to mode 3 (up to 42kmph)...but mode 2 in more than enough for my needs. I may move to mode 3 on steeper inclines. I came here from another vid on different channel. I was curious as to if you had any scooter vids. Where abouts in U.K. do you live? Wish I had such paths in London. Not only for the safety and comfort but it’s just pure joy. No danger. I have the odd park round here but they so small, I’d be done in less then 10mins. Then add to the fact that I live 2mins or less from a main busy road and every time I pass through, to get to some quiet side streets, I ALWAYS bump into Police . They ain’t said shit yet but scared the shit outa me. The worst is when I’m waiting at traffic lights, on said busy road. More often then not, police always pull up next to me or they are waiting opersit me on other side of lights. I keep telling myself that they aren’t bothering me because I’m usually out at night, mainly on quiet street and I don’t go over 15mph. I was learning to relax more on my cheap crap scooter. I just bought another with suspension and air tyre. I’ve had since Monday but am too bloody scared to go on it. I’m the master of coincidence and knowing my luck, I’ll get stopped first time out on it and they either give me £300 fine or take new scooter away. I said to myself, if I got away with an hour or 2 most days till end of year and police take, then not too bad but I may not be so lucky. Then I’m thinking that maybe I have more chance getting caught at night. Police probably less busy then day time and have more spare time to burn. I actually think most are scared to get caught. I think this because I see e scooters every day. Not loads but up to 6-8 and I’ve never ever seen any1 ride fast. New scooter I got is similar to yours. Goes bout 28mph, key start, eye throttle, optional seat.
I live in Lincolnshire, I suppose I am quite lucky as there are plenty of places to take the scooter for nice long rides without much bother. I know the feeling with police, I just act like I'm supposed to be there, always wear a helmet as this looks to them like your being responsible and less of a hazard. The people who you see being stopped on social media are just a tiny tiny fraction compared to how many are still out there riding
Your right but the problem is the controller is limited in the settings and can't be changed so you don't get anywhere close to the full 21A peak more closer to around 13-14A
The thing with these electric scooters they are cool but aren't reliable enough to ditch your car etc to use as a regular transport in my opinion. I've had 2 scooters now M4 standard and Emove touring both didn't last a month!
Billy Reeves Well the kugoo M4 I had a day first few rides the key bent and the voltmeter wouldn't turn off with either key. Didn't like the foldable stem design way too stiff! Didn't like the seat couldn't hold my weight and didn't like the fact you couldn't really remove the seat housing on the deck. The touring I had for 2 weeks it had 1 brake and it was shite always popped out the housing which meant when you were going 24mph you were fucked if you needed to brake swiftly! Then the rear motor stopped on me several rides then one day it completely failed to even start properly! Whether it's bad luck or they're not built well idk.

Where did you get this from?
The Kugoo M4 Pro or the xiaomi pro 2?
I've a rattle in the front bar I've no idea how to get it to stop anyone else with that issue.
Maybe take a look at the Solar P1 too
Excellent video. I love my seat for my scooter I use it all the time.
I have the engwe y600 which is probably almost the same thing as this. I love it. Ride it everywhere. Im shocked its illegal in the UK, as here in america they're everywhere and legal. Hopefully rules change for you all over there
Do you know of any universal fitting seats for the Kugoo Kirin M4 Pro?
I got mine today and I’m having a really hard time putting the seat on
Thanks for the video Billy. Just wondering - how much lighter is the scooter with the seat removed?
No Problem Phil! I would estimate around 2kg but would have to check properly
When the scooter is folded its really easy to carry up stairs i run mine up 2 flights of stairs up and down daily with ease not that heavy and folds up really well
Ive got the normal version of this scooter been riding it for a few months now really good scooter just make sure to maintain it and tighten screws often and its actually 54 volt fully charged and the gears also seem to give it more torque at them speeds so quickest way to get to 30mph is to use the gears cycle through them
Good tips here. More volts equals more speed hence when the voltage drops so does the speed. Fully charged its noticeably faster

Can the speed upgrade on the xiaomi hurt the scooter in any way. After watching this I wanna go faster 😩 cool vids BTW

how does the m4 handle pot holes etc, not sure if the suspension would be good enough
i’m looking to upgrade from my m365 pro, i’ve looked at a ton of scooters but now i’m contemplating the m4 as it’s more affordable compared to what i’ve been looking at (dualtron mini, zero 9, emove cruiser)

The RGB lights switch on with the main lights and there is no way to turn them off without opening the scooter.

Wdum U lost 3 Volts can someone explain pls does he mean 3 volts till he charges it?🤔
These batteries are 54.6v when fully charged, so if I travel some distance let's say 3 miles I and lose 3 volts off my battery voltage it is then at 51.6v.

@@bill-e6114 it s about first charge not normal charge
Yeah that goes for the first charge, cells will balance at the end because of the bms and thats what you need to do on a first charge. Bms is like the battery computer that keeps it healthy. The charger can only go to 54.6v so the battery can't be overcharged. Normal charges to 90% will help the battery last longer, try to never empty the battery completely as that can damage the battery

Esse modelo pode toma chuva
its killer in terms of speed but Xiaomis are kooler those 15 miles per hour scooters are easier on the eye.. alot of ppl dont like scooters ith seats for that reason too.. its a good thing though cause its keeps te price low and stock high for kugoo m4 pros lol m5 is even better cant get in the UK tho
Yes I agree the little scooters are so much more portable and unobtrusive, suppose its a trade off. I would like to get my hands on an M5 eventually to try
I'm pretty sure they are 1008 w seeing as it Is a 21a 48v controller
Your right but the problem is the controller is limited in the settings and can't be changed so you don't get anywhere close to the full 21A peak more closer to around 13-14A
@@bill-e6114 I got mine to peak at around 16a uphill going for it but I'm not the lightest rider
Can you sell it to me?
I'll just try to be courteous, "MOVE B#*@H GET OUT THE WAY, GET THE OUT WAY" that's what I was expecting anyway 😉😉😅😉😅😉
😆😆😆 they caught me on a good day 😅
The thing with these electric scooters they are cool but aren't reliable enough to ditch your car etc to use as a regular transport in my opinion. I've had 2 scooters now M4 standard and Emove touring both didn't last a month!
Oh no, how did they meet their fate?
@@thew4rrior5code @THE W4RRIOR5 CODE You have had some bad luck I see. Did you happen to crash it to bend the key ignition? The folding design is much better on the Pro as far as I can tell and the seat did that to me yesterday. I've tightened the hell out of it and now all is well. I'm currently uploading a video documenting all this so have a watch. Will keep making videos until I wreck it🙂
@@bill-e6114 lol yeah I watched your video. It's so fun when they work just don't think they're reliable. I've never crashed on them and I went fast most times. Idk maybe they're not for me but I do love them.
e scooters are not vehicles.
Is it 18ah battery?
This one is the 13.5ah
