So you think if I used gear 1 it would of got up that 3rd incline? Interesting, the controller must feed more amps at lower speeds in gear 1 and 2 then. Shall be re-attempting this soon. Thanks for the info
I am not 100% sure but.... So I have a gotrax gxl v2 -- 250watt... And it seems to be just a fraction slower in the 1st gear vs 2nd gear on the really steep hills that drag down slower than 9mph. And there seems to be some misinformation in the gotrax manual. It says 1st gear has more torque and is better for going up hills. The information is incorrect and I don't know why they even call it gears. It is a speed selection. "1st speed" limits to 9.5mph and "2nd speed" limits to 15.5mph. It doesn't switch to a different gear ratio like in cars and bicycles. I have tested this many of times on many different hills. Only some times if I want the battery to last longer in the day/charge, I will use 1st speed (I call it 1st speed) up steep hills because it seems to be just a fraction slower on parts of the hill like as if it is using less amp-or-so, because in 1st speed I would be at 4mph and in that same spot in 2nd speed I would be at 5mph. And then when the speed starts to pick back up it will be limited to 9.5mph on the long stretch up slope and not struggling to reach 15.5mph. It takes several seconds longer in 1st speed to reach 9.5mph than it does in 2nd speed as it gets closer to the top of the hill. Edit: I also have a 49cc gas scooter 1.3hp and it feels like it goes 20mph up that same hill that my 250watt scooter can't even go up.

So you dont even find alot of information or even reviews if its worth its 500-600 dollars. What about the tires? Are they pneumatic rubber tires or simple air tires?
Probably 95% of scooters here are Chinese, but that doesn't mean its all bad quality. They just don't assemble them with much care. Cross threaded screws and wobbly bits that can be sorted easily enough. This scooter has been great so far and I've covered hundreds of miles and modified it slightly to make it my own. @@bill-e6114 Sounds good. Its also the only scooter i found in the ~ 500-600$ price range that was actually (relatively) widely covered in videos on youtube, unlike some other chinese counterparts. The Kugoo also had the biggest battery in that range (others mostly had 48V/10AH) So i guess this one makes the most sense at the moment, if you dont have like 1000+$ laying around. Suppose Air is probably better if i can change it later anyways. Thanks again, helped alot on my decision!
the standing still start might be the controller only feeding in power rather than balls out power ! so when you are standing its stops you falling off the back :) ? just bought one for my son, as an upgrade to a Razor E300.. i think he will notice the difference lol btw, what is your weight in kilo!
I think he will too 😂 It is quite a fast scooter, just takes its time to get there. They've locked the controller out from factory so you cannot disable soft start😭
@@bill-e6114 hi, got the non pro scooter as it was an upgrade for my sons E300 :) and the thing flies.. I raced him when i was on my pushbike.. I hit near 28mph and he just cruised past me!! im like "wtf" lol that things silly.. just a couple things, not sure how the front light fits correctly with the washer and the bolt that came with it as the light does not face straight! also the unit for the key is loose and cant figure where you tighten it, there is a metal ring and the key holder unit but there is nothing to tighten it up, unless im missing something or its missing from the start. apart from that its a nice scooter :) and he`s well happy with it.. what 13yr old wouldnt! oh and top speed next time, elbows tucked in, knees together and head down.. he managed to gain 2-3mph on tops :)
@@rs2klee 😂Yes it is silly! But its potential can be unlocked further I think as it seems to drip feed the current in. If it didn't, I say it could easily hit 35. I had the same problem with the light. Its like the there's to much thread on the bolt I just rearranged the washers and its on and straight now. As for the ignition, its the tiniest little black alan bolt, look at the back of it, it should be there and its nearly invisible. Glad he's enjoying the scooter, let me know his tucked speed 🤣
@@bill-e6114 cool thamks, will have a look at that now i know im not mad haha, his tucked speed was 29mph possibly 30 as i was doing 28 and he just cruised past me.. would have made a funny video though :) theres me powering up thinking he`s not gona pass me now.. then whoooo there he goes im like WHAT!! lol so you can imagine.. that was with no headwind and kinda going with the flow. As on you bike video I think i need to build one like you did, as im heavy and find that scooter ok.. but feel better on my bike. with the latest trend with most of the side roads now closing around London and parts of the SouthEast its much easier to get around by bike and cheaper, so the money you would spend on a kit like you did ends up paying for itself in no time and you get to keep it :)
@@rs2klee I agree, bikes are definitely safer and just better in general for travelling on. Scooters are good for a laugh and to have a blast around on, I also love how portable they are. If only the bike was as easy as to chuck in the car. You won't regret building an ebike, its easy and the hub motors are nearly bulletproof, if a controller pops they are cheap to replace. Its just the battery that's the biggest cost but should last a few years at least
I was told thT the quick release thing to raise the handle bars up and down doesn't go tight enough which means the handle bars always have a slight wabble, is this true in your experience?
Its actually quite good, the deck is nice and wide. You can create a bit more space by removing the seat bracket if you're never going to use the seat. I have size 10 feet and there's lots of room
Going to have a look at one this weekend , how was your overall experience with it and how much was the extra battery ? Does it take long to change them over. Thanks buddy great video
They are great little scooters but need things tightening to make them more solid, overall real good for the money if you don't mind having to tinker with it. I haven't changed the battery yet but the standard M4 has a 10.5ah battery, where the Pro has 13.5ah. People are working on auxiliary batteries for this scooter though
Hey billy reeves i have a few questions about this scooter. Please respond if u have time. What is the top km that u reach? Is the battery life good? Is it good to use it daily to go to work my work place is around (15)km? Does it have issues fast? I am asking this because i want to buy this for my brother and i dont want to spend all my money for nothing. Thanks if u responded:) -james
Hi James The scooter can easily get to 40+ km/h. The battery lasts 30+ km if you don't go fast everywhere. All of the M4 Pro's come with a wobbly stem that can be fixed in less than 20 minutes, just done mine it's easy but you need to buy tools to fix it. I believe its worth the price you pay but it needs little things fixing😀
Just bought kugoo m4 pro it was working fine but when I charged it and turned it on the lcd screen broke all lights work when I hold power button but the screen wont turn on at all so I can't even use this just order a new tf100 lcd so I hope this fixes my problem :(
Oh that's bad luck buddy, its either that or the controller. Hopefully you get it sorted, its frustrating sometimes. I'm fitting mine tomorrow with a more reliable controller and display, hopefully it will be a suitable replacement
Definitely the booster, better built good range, good speed and its relatively good off road. The newer ones have had issues with controllers but I believe that has been sorted now
If your not using your scooter for over a week its recommended with lithium chemistry batteries to store at around 50% charge and charge when you need it. These batteries don't like being stored at full or too empty for long periods of time
Just got my kugoo m4 pro and it’s great but my handle bars rock back and forth and are very loose I have tightened everything but it’s still very loose and yours sounds very sterdy unlike mine is there anything that I can do ?
i have a GBooster... really that stock mechanical calipers made the rotors realign everytime i ride my GBooster. that scraping noise is so annoying. best fix you can make with that is to change that calipers with a Semi Hydraulic calipers, specifically Zoom Xtech HB100. just plug and play. you wont need to change the whole brake system, like changing the brake lever since it has an electric brake too. you will only remove the calipers, and still you can use the cables and levers. cheaper way to remove that annoying scraping noise. and Xtech has 2 pistons to clamp on both sides of the rotor so it wont mess the alignment of the rotor.
I'll be making the switch soon thank you, I think you notice how poor these brakes are more on the g booster. I want the better stopping power and less noise and maintenance
@@bill-e6114 yeah.. the rotor noise, really annoys me a lot. i hate realigning the rotors after every rides. the Xtech HB100 have a nice stopping power for the weight and power of GBooster plus my weight (I'm not light) and the additional weight the scooter have from the accessories i've installed. it really does a good job. i wanna try the Xtech calipers, just check which calipers you need, cause with my GBooster, i bought 2 front Xtech Calipers. since the front and rear xtech caliper have different mounting brackets.
If you have the pro it has a bike stem, so any 31.8mm handlebars from amazon or ebay will fit, just choose what style you want. I'll be back soon, the M4 is in bits atm cause I'm making it faster but thats nearly done now. Also my g booster replacement hasn't come yet😭
Does the lack of warranty concern you? I've nearly pulled the trigger on one of these, just have to convince the wife. I went to Kugoo's website and they said warranty is only good from official stockists. When I clicked on buy now it took me to geekbuying. I would assume they are the official stockist bit you're paying an extra £25.
Its something I'm not too concerned about as I'm always tinkering with technical things and have a bit of experience with motors and etc. I got mine from apparently an official stockist on ebay and been told I have a years warranty, we'll see how this warranty stands up when something goes wrong I guess. Just do it, they are great fun! Worry about the consequences later😅
Will do one soon mate. It'll be at the expense of battery range but that's the sacrifice for more torque I guess. People do shunt mods on the controllers but they last 5 minutes before they blow up. The controller I've chosen can handle more power easily and its relatively cheap
Are you ever worried about police stopping you I've just gotten a similar scooter bit worried about going out on it mines a qings wing 500 w motor cheers pal good video
You can do the shunt mod, which I don't like. Or you could buy a more powerful controller for it and wire that up. Should give you a bit more of a boost
I estimate it would do 20km range without a problem, 30km with good weather condition? I don't quite know. I used a very basic e-scooter and with a full battery i had about 10km (30kmph speed max for only 4 minutes of driving, and after that it went down to 27kmph) Now I bought the IENYRID M4 which is a copy of the Kugoo M4 (it still has to arrive) but I assume it will do atleast 20%/25% better in range since the speed and battery are better.
@@bill-e6114 It was just a thought the price you pay for budget. on anther not , thinking of getting one of them , following your reviews, liking them . cheers.
I have quite a few videos on the Kugoo G2 Pro, with an advertised speed of 31mph 50kmh...but the display shows 45kmh and the real gps speed in 41.7kmh 26mph. "G2 Pro A Masterpiece Of Kugoo"
Do you mean the charge port? If so, its on the right side of the deck covered by a rubber flap. It comes with a 2 amp charger and takes 8 hours to charge from flat. There is a USB port on the display, but unaware yet as to whether you can charge your phone from it
Billy Reeves yes that’s what I was talking about the USB port on the back of the lcd screen and yes I’ve read elsewhere your able to charge your phone from it but I haven’t tried it myself yet 👍🏼
I have 1 & here's a few things I noticed, The Seat Clamp Doesn't Grip the Seat Pole, & everytime I go over some big bumps the seat goes down. so I cut a bit of wood to size & put it inside the pole on the scooter, Job done, & I placed some rubber strip's under the seat to stop it Rattling when I'm standing up going off road, I Noticed the under of the foot Plate had gaps, so some black silicone to make it water proof, I disconnected the disco lights on the side by cutting the black wire that connects the 2 sides & put some tape over it. Handel bar grips kept sliding/moving about, sprayed some fabric glue on the bars & slipped them back on, job done, Nice Video's so far mate, Cheers
@@BINGO359 That is an interesting fix for the seat! These are all great tips, my next job will be to make this more water tight as I intend to be doing some wetter rides. Thanks for the info, should help a lot of others who have or are intending to buy this scooter
the brakes stop working after you drive thru tiny puddle. That happened to me 3 times on the old scooter 3 on the replacement one after that I couldn't take it anymore. And the fucking wobble in those screw things šo insane, every part that is connected together just wobbles after 100km. The base idea of this scooter is good but it's performed in the cheapest possible way. I highly recommend something else I had the worst experience with this!
Brakes could definitely be upgraded and your right most of the scooter needs tightening regularly, but threadlock will stop most things from coming undone. I agree you shouldn't have to do this but they are cheap for what you get
Great Review I will be upgrading to one of these from the standard M365 in 2021 some point got my M365 for during lockdown supermarket trips and to work but want something with abit more range and speed.
It's a pretty bat scooter IMO, my back brakes completely gave up after 20 kilometres, those two arrows where the steering bars bend down ,that place is the fucking worst it has so much movement it wiggles and feels so loose. The throttle is pretty bad aswell. Every part that is hold on by those twisty screw things just wiggles around freely. The bench makes squeaky noises. I was driving like 20 km/h and hit a little bump the steering wheel twisted to the side a fair amount. I'm gonna return it its so baaaaad
Yeah the brakes aren't the best but I don't see how they could fail so quickly? Did you tighten the nuts on all the clamp fasteners? As all of them come very loose from the factory and need a good tighten

So i guess this one makes the most sense at the moment, if you dont have like 1000+$ laying around.
11:20 the dog xD LOOOL OMG XD
Thanks for the complete review!
No problem, hope it helped!
Hello mate where did you buy yours from I want to buy one for my brother I’ve got myself one but I don’t trust the sight I got it from?
This one came from eBay and its still running great. Great all round electric scooters
Just got the m4 pro and just wondering do you know how long the battery will last on mode 3 if I kept it on mode 3 the whole time
Around 15 miles I would say using full throttle most of the time
Billy Reeves thankyou just been out on it mode 3 full throttle Yh your about right
15miles feels not really good..
I was told thT the quick release thing to raise the handle bars up and down doesn't go tight enough which means the handle bars always have a slight wabble, is this true in your experience?
No thats not the issue, just normally a bolt needs tightening either in the upright part of the stem or the folding mechanism 👍
How is the ride without the seat? Is there enough room for your feet? What is shoe size?
Its actually quite good, the deck is nice and wide. You can create a bit more space by removing the seat bracket if you're never going to use the seat. I have size 10 feet and there's lots of room
Are the underglow lights connected with the main lights
I am pretty sure you can disconnect them, but you have to have the bottom of the deck apart
@@bill-e6114 thanks bud

Hey billy reeves i have a few questions about this scooter. Please respond if u have time.
What is the top km that u reach?
Is the battery life good?
Is it good to use it daily to go to work my work place is around (15)km?
Does it have issues fast?
I am asking this because i want to buy this for my brother and i dont want to spend all my money for nothing.
Thanks if u responded:) -james
Hi James
The scooter can easily get to 40+ km/h.
@@bill-e6114 little things like what?
Just bought kugoo m4 pro it was working fine but when I charged it and turned it on the lcd screen broke all lights work when I hold power button but the screen wont turn on at all so I can't even use this just order a new tf100 lcd so I hope this fixes my problem :(
Oh that's bad luck buddy, its either that or the controller. Hopefully you get it sorted, its frustrating sometimes. I'm fitting mine tomorrow with a more reliable controller and display, hopefully it will be a suitable replacement
Hey billy what do you Recommend kugoo g booster or kugoo m4 pro thanks buddy
Definitely the booster, better built good range, good speed and its relatively good off road. The newer ones have had issues with controllers but I believe that has been sorted now
ok buddy thanks mate
The wheels are too s 12:19 mall ! For speed more then 30mph. U get the wobble.
What is the real battery running time if you drive at 30-40 constantly?
Kmh? Probably around 30km I would say
Hi, how often do you need to charge it when you dont use it during the winter?
If your not using your scooter for over a week its recommended with lithium chemistry batteries to store at around 50% charge and charge when you need it. These batteries don't like being stored at full or too empty for long periods of time
@@bill-e6114 Does it really run for 65KM?
I would say you could get near that range if you stay in gear 1 for most of the time.
@@bill-e6114 Do you have to charge it each time after use?
If so , at what percentage should it be charge at if you will use it again in a couple of days?
Just got my kugoo m4 pro and it’s great but my handle bars rock back and forth and are very loose I have tightened everything but it’s still very loose and yours sounds very sterdy unlike mine is there anything that I can do ?
Yes there is something you can do, it costs about 15 quid to sort. Watch my latest video, I explain all😁
I wanna buy it what’s ur insta I have some questions
i have a GBooster... really that stock mechanical calipers made the rotors realign everytime i ride my GBooster. that scraping noise is so annoying. best fix you can make with that is to change that calipers with a Semi Hydraulic calipers, specifically Zoom Xtech HB100. just plug and play. you wont need to change the whole brake system, like changing the brake lever since it has an electric brake too. you will only remove the calipers, and still you can use the cables and levers. cheaper way to remove that annoying scraping noise. and Xtech has 2 pistons to clamp on both sides of the rotor so it wont mess the alignment of the rotor.
I'll be making the switch soon thank you, I think you notice how poor these brakes are more on the g booster. I want the better stopping power and less noise and maintenance
@@bill-e6114 yeah.. the rotor noise, really annoys me a lot. i hate realigning the rotors after every rides. the Xtech HB100 have a nice stopping power for the weight and power of GBooster plus my weight (I'm not light) and the additional weight the scooter have from the accessories i've installed. it really does a good job. i wanna try the Xtech calipers, just check which calipers you need, cause with my GBooster, i bought 2 front Xtech Calipers. since the front and rear xtech caliper have different mounting brackets.
im looking at buying this scooter myself thanks mate didn't realize that they are in the some what affordable region for me
They are a good price for what you get if you don't mind tightening things occasionally
So you say you put different handle bars on your scooter?!.
If so where did you buy them.
Love you videos and I hope you keep them going.
Cheers
Scott
If you have the pro it has a bike stem, so any 31.8mm handlebars from amazon or ebay will fit, just choose what style you want. I'll be back soon, the M4 is in bits atm cause I'm making it faster but thats nearly done now. Also my g booster replacement hasn't come yet😭
Thanks for the info. Can't wait to see the new and improved the M4 pro.
@@bill-e6114 Good general life advice as well!
Would love more acceleration on my m4 pro if you can do a video on that would appreciate cheers bud
Will do one soon mate. It'll be at the expense of battery range but that's the sacrifice for more torque I guess. People do shunt mods on the controllers but they last 5 minutes before they blow up. The controller I've chosen can handle more power easily and its relatively cheap
@@bill-e6114 can't wait bud looking forward to your next videos spot on mate
have u had any issues with stem or anything like that as i want something thats safe like.
Yes, this has issues with a slight wobbly stem but its not too bad. I feel comfortable and stable whilst at top speed
Are you ever worried about police stopping you I've just gotten a similar scooter bit worried about going out on it mines a qings wing 500 w motor cheers pal good video
I'm not worried, I try to ignore the fact that they could stop me and just enjoy it. If I do get stopped I will deal with it when it happens 😃
Sorry guys are they all together illegal in UK or just the scooters of speed over 25kmh are illegal, like in many EU countries?
How can I lock this in bicycle stand?
Only place I could see is a small D Lock on the stem or front wheel or both, for very quick stops.
@@bill-e6114 how wide is this when fully packed? i mean from handlebar to handlebar. im wondering if it fits in gym locker.
@@microsoft1665 Without the seat its 22.5cm, with the seat its about 28cm. Hope that helps mate

how long was the delivery for yours?
@@cjxd123456 Thanks bud, mine took around 3 days but it was UK stock
How long would it take for the scooter to get to top speed?
I would say around 20 seconds but haven't timed this yet
Anyone know if you speed hacks for the m4 pro 16ah ? I only get 25mph I weight 96kg
You can do the shunt mod, which I don't like. Or you could buy a more powerful controller for it and wire that up. Should give you a bit more of a boost
i'M LOOKING TO BUY KUGOO M4 PRO. THE SCOOTER I HAVE SPEED IS 25K IS THE KUGOO M4 PRO SPEED ANY GOOD IS THE SCOOTER GOOD ? @BILLY REEVES
If your around 80kg you should see 45kmh speed. I think its good so far, but I've only owned it for just over 2 weeks
What’s the real realistic km range ?
I estimate it would do 20km range without a problem, 30km with good weather condition? I don't quite know. I used a very basic e-scooter and with a full battery i had about 10km (30kmph speed max for only 4 minutes of driving, and after that it went down to 27kmph)
Now I bought the IENYRID M4 which is a copy of the Kugoo M4 (it still has to arrive) but I assume it will do atleast 20%/25% better in range since the speed and battery are better.
breaking to hard from new could cause the disk to warp. you are meant to bed them in slowly.
I did 25 miles on it before braking sharply, don't you think that's enough? It was pretty much scraping on my first ride too
@@bill-e6114 It was just a thought the price you pay for budget. on anther not , thinking of getting one of them , following your reviews, liking them . cheers.
@@peterpeterpeter101 yeah your right, they are bargain basement calipers and disks. I can't fault the power of them just the noise gets irritating
I really need someone to do a review of the kugoo g max
If you like the m4 pro u will love the 2021 model it can go 31mph and battery is much better
Interesting! They probably have updated the motor too then. Hopefully get my hands on one soon then
How long does the battery last per charger
I have quite a few videos on the Kugoo G2 Pro, with an advertised speed of 31mph 50kmh...but the display shows 45kmh and the real gps speed in 41.7kmh 26mph. "G2 Pro A Masterpiece Of Kugoo"
fantastic video billy keep up the good work!
Thank you mate, means a lot!😀
Where’s the USB port on this scooter?
Handel bar grips kept sliding/moving about, sprayed some fabric glue on the bars & slipped them back on, job done,
Nice Video's so far mate, Cheers
I agree you shouldn't have to do this but they are cheap for what you get
@@bill-e6114 if you plan to buy it and just use it no upgrades or anything it's bad IMO

m635 is dangerously slow lol. specially on roads. alright on paths and cycle lanes but you cant ride on the road lol too risky.
A long one like this one
Ништяк,у меня тоже такой;)
