- I introduce and go for a ride on my new 2020 Kugoo G Booster. It's a fast dual motor electric scooter but it didn't last long.
It suffered a front controller failure and I've had to return it for a replacement, these things happen and I realise I am just unlucky and this should NOT put you of purchasing one as its an amazing bit of kit.

put your weight forward by leaning on your handle bar as you want to accelerate rapidly from a stand still or from a low speed specially on trying to climb up a steep road. i got the same unit like yours with different brand (seller's name or brands them differently). that sound really does happen if you are trying to make the motor accelerate that rapidly by quickly pressing down the thumb throttle almost all the way in. to avoid that, just let the motor speed up gradually from a stand still or from a low speed with proper throttle control. it always happen to me since i always pass to a steep road 1 block from our house. you can check the settings on that on your throttle if you want to lessen the aggressive acceleration... got my unit for a month exactly today, and im really having fun with it.. i even tried it off road, UNPAVED ROAD and it can still get a decent speed of 50+ kph, like the 2 small wheels were like leaping on stones to stones.
Yes i own one of these it's acceleration 0-30mph is very impressive it dose throw you back you have to hold on 🤣 Good build quality compared to most E-Scooters aswell ive had no issues with mine and had it about a year now.

I hope you get your new G booster soon! I would buy one too if my state didn't limit us to 500w escooters ;( for which I'm thinking of getting a m4 pro, the onyl thing holding me back is the fact that I live in a very hilly area (long 15-20% hills) and the m4 pro seems to struggle a bit on those, what do you think?
Me too, I can't wait to get the replacement. Electric scooters are illegal full stop here, its completely crazy! So I envy you for even being allowed to ride them legally let alone a 500w limit. The M4 is okay on medium hills if your already carrying speed, it just can't climb them from a stand still

Thats gutting mate. Mine came fully charged out the box, no problems so far. Great fun bit of kit. Got me away from the rozzer ;)

We’ve all been here at some point. I got a bad Emove Cruiser right out the box and the company (Voromotors) would not take it back. I paid $1300 US dollars and sold it for only $800 to to get it out of my house quickly because I was so pissed off. I’ll never do business with that company again. Good luck to you. I hope you’re back on the road soon.

Next time, buy from kreomotors.com ok? I bought a Kaabo Skywalker 8S from them in April, and I still have it lol. It never gave me any problems whatsoever dude!! And I’m planning on buying another scooter much more powerful than mine and it’s called Blade 10 by Eonmotors. But it’s being sold at kreomotors.com for $1500. It’s a 2400watt scooter topping out at 42mph and it comes with rear hazard lights yo, as well as under-deck led lights, electronic horn, dual motors of course and weights 70 lbs. check that beast out ma dude...!!!

I have same problem, I buyed from Alibaba and I think can got new in first 7 days...... You got new one and that send back? Is with new all ok? Not have that bad sound?
It looks like a common problem now. The new one does it still, its just not as bad🤦♂️
Mine does the stall where it sounds like somethings grinding and you get zero acceleration if I try to accelerate from 0 up a hill or on grass/gravel but I figured that's just because you're not really meant to floor it on take off, if I let off the accelerator and push it back down slowly then I'm all good. Should I get a replacement? Had it about 10 months

How much did you pay for the kugoo G booster? Which Website? What's your opinion about Kaabo Mantis Lite plus electric scooter? They have UK website where you can get them. I was really looking forward to get the kugoo G booster but after watching your video it put me off lol
900 for the G Booster, on eBay. Now Kaabo are a pretty good brand, but the Mantis Lite Plus is more comparable to the M4 Pro IMO. As they both have single motors and similar speeds. The Mantis has bigger batt and will be better built though and probably a better all round scooter. I was possibly just unlucky with my G
This is the 2020 g-booster, dual 25a controller just under 1400w per motor so peak power is close to 2800w which is why they have so much torque, what you said about the lights ive taken mine off and just use the ones built into the deck, i think it looks alot cleaner like that and the battery lasts noticeably longer when riding at night. Also get some 720mm handlebars its the widest you can get on but it handles so much better. I use to get speed wobble sometimes but thats gone since i swapped the bars. I also found the original brakes to be pretty weak and go dull quite fast but its easy to swap them with the zoom xtech hb100 hydraulic, that makes such a difference too (you need 2 front ones) yes its extra money but theyre pretty cheap and definitely worth the upgrade
I've had 2 of these later models now and the controllers seem like they are made from chocolate, so I've never seen the benefit of slightly more power than the previous version because they are weak. How are yours holding up? I'm running mine as something to mess around on now using in rain, mud etc

Thank you! Its 12 months but don't know how good it will be. I know they are willing to send parts out. Mine came from Poland so if it needed to go back to be repaired I think I would need to pay the shipping 😩
@@bill-e6114 u hear you and the shipment to overseas from the US will cost you. I found a US vendor but they only offer 6 months warranty. I mean I love the design and features foe the g max but that warranty sucks IMO and may be a deal breaker for me. What do you think?

i bought a kugoo g2 pro 2 days ago and the motor starting making a wierd noise like the rim was slipping on the tire and cutting out and kept loosing power .. i exchanged it and hope it fixes it
Just bought one today with chopped wired and blown control modules. I now have to try rewire the whole scoot going to be a task.

Hey do you have any recommendations to keep the tire's lifespan as long as possible? I'll be getting mine g booster in couple of days and I have heard that tires sucks...why?
I think its due to the heat of the motor affecting the innertube. Best thing you can do is keep your pressures at 45-50psi. Or dump the stock tyres and go to tubeless CST tyres

That ringing bell sound is the brake disk. I spent ages trying to work that out, it’s sounds like it
Yeah the motor vibration was so bad it caused the disk to hit the caliper

@@drstew1 Align the brake calipers and tighten the stem and you will be fine. The M4 just needs some attention as its not put together great from factory

If the Motor Does Not Run Follow the Following Steps
Make Sure the power switch is on
Check the fuse or circuit breaker
Try pushing the scooter to start
Try charging the battery pack for full hours
Inspect the motor by sight, touch and smell
Test the fuse or circuit breaker and also the brake lever switch
Try to test the Key Switch or Power Switch
Also, test the Battery Charger and charger port
Try to test the Battery Pack on A Scooter That Runs
And then test the Battery Pack on A Scooter That Does Not Run
Test the voltage of the battery pack
I think I had that or a similar issue with my Emove Touring where it kept cutting out randomly and making that weird noise like it was braking for no reason. Anyway I sent them back but it's put me off getting anymore just don't think it's worth the stress tbh lol
It is stressful mate I agree, but I kind of accept now stuff can go wrong and it can be fixed easy enough most of the time as they are essentially very basic. I've just put a solid controller in my M4 and now have the peace of mind that it can handle all I throw at it from now on

Sounds like you've blown a few MOSFETs on the front controller. It's a shame it happened so easily.
The motors are almost bulletproof and it's always the controllers.
Honestly, just get a refund and buy the 10X mate.
This is what I thought too. But I really didn't want to open a scooter with 12 miles on it to repair.
Would like the Zero but think I'll just see whether the replacement is any better and give the G the benefit of the doubt
Aaah is that what it is , I think mine must of gone for my rear wheel😔 it still works but it sounds shit when setting off or going over rough terrain, they ate just plug and play aren't they?

They replaced it with a 2019 model with the old controller and that’s been fine ever since

Really.. I think they must be running poor quality controllers in the 2020 g booster now. I really hope they send me an earlier model too like you before they all dissappear
My scooter makes the same sound every now and then (every 5mins) but works fine should I just sell it?
the only way to inflate those tires is to unscrew the disk brake and brake caliper, tried an angled valve adapter but it wasn't fitting also.. till then, I recommend buying inner tube with angled valve. Also, the tire is very low quality, mine after 2nd removal got deformed in the process. Some recommend tubeless 90/65 tire.
My adapter was a squeeze I agree and would let air out unless you got it perfect, must be a massive ball ache taking all that off to pump up the tyre. Got my eye on the tubeless cst 90/65-6.5 nobbly's or semi slicks can't decide🤔

Billy I want get one with a seat because I got bronco asthma I can't walk far I got high rate mobility but thing to dear I rather go bit faster then 8 mph cheaper

I'm on instagram buddy, the g booster comes with a seat too just haven't put it on yet. Almost all of these scooters are faster than 8mph, but recommend you get the M4 first for around 400-500 quid. I love mine its so easy to go out on and rides so smooth and will certainly help you get around easier and quicker

I'm tryna figure out if it's worth getting the G Booster paying the extra £200 (£999) over the FuroSystems Fuze Scooter which is £799 I don't know if you know which one is worth it more? Not tryna spend more than a grand?
Out of the 2 I would have to go G Booster. Dual motors makes so much difference and the battery is so much bigger at over 1000wh. It's just that the current G Boosters are hit and miss as to whether you get a problem like mine
The fuze scooter looks like a Kugoo M4 type scooter. I think the M4 Pro goes for about £600 and it has a bigger battery. Maybe try that as it does about 25-28mph
@@bill-e6114 yeah the Fuze can go 55km (34miles) with a top speed of 24mph (40km) but £799..
The only thing worrying me about the Kugoo is whether you can get it and have warranty on it so if there any problems in the first year or 2 you can get it replaced or fixed with no extra cost. The Fuze has that as they offer 2 years warranty and have a shop.
So in your case with Kugoo the issues you have with it are there places you can buy it from where they would fix it under warranty
@@manlykscorpa Definitely buddy good warranty is important. And Kugoo doesn't have a great one and it normally goes back to Poland so takes forever for anything to be replaced or fixed. Have you considered a Solar P1 for under a grand? Dual motors 18ah battery, a 2 year warranty and its a UK company

Hi bud, yes I saw they had just released that model. Its nearly identical to the zero 10x and turbowheel lightning, so my guess is that it comes from the same factory. I would say it'll be quite a good scooter especially with 2 year warranty. 50mph speed I'm sceptical as all those mentioned 60v scooters struggle to get to that speed apparently. UA-cam some vids on the them 2 scooters and you'll see what I mean, acceleration will be amazing though

@@lloydjohnson4312 No problem, both scooters look good for the money but I personally would go for the R1, It should be lighter in theory, has better designed suspension and looks nicer. If you want more range go P1 Pro 👍

Does g booster have problems with steering as was ridding luckily only slow is as now will only turn right and tiny bit left have big problem did not crash
Have the cables risen up the stem? That will do that, they don't give much cable at all. Or it could be a bearing issue

Can you help me my back wheels keeps making a weird noise when I ride I don’t know if it’s cus I fell of it at 30 mph n I broke my lights so I had to stick them back on with gorilla tape I’m not the best with setting up the scooter I don’t kno how to put my bolts back in my lights. sounds stupid but I’m very clueless help me pls?
For the rear wheel check that you've not obviously damaged the motor wires coming of the side of the wheel. It could be a number of things that could have happened but first inspect the wiring, then check controllers aren't visually damaged. For the lights just buy new ones they are about £10 for 2
I think it may be because you fell off at 30mph. 😂 Also, if you can't bolt an led light to a stem, how do you expect to fix a suspected motor/wheel alignment problem ? Just saying..

I’ve got the same scooter as this and for some reason the battery all says it’s on 0 and just keeps flashing but volts arr maxed
Can anyone help with advice on a kugoo g booster - the one with new LCD that has 17 P settings. Someone has messed around with settings and don’t know what originally should be set to from factory/manufacturer🤦🏻♂️ also got problem with none of the lights working but the single/dual button works fine🤔🤷🏻♂️ any help would be proper appreciated!!

It certainly catches you out. Turn the current from 12 to 20 and see how it pulls even more!
Hold the up arrow on digital display few seconds and puts it into animal mode you will see and icon flash up try that I've had mine over 2 years 😄

6:31 Noise on mine is only at very low speeds, get over 10-12 mph and it goes quite.. quiet and yes, the acceleration *IS* kinda violent!😂✝ Seriously, the throttle needs a tweak. 🤦♀️
Speed controllers are different on the 2020 mate. For me to upgrade to that nice, new 'dash' I'd have to get two of them and that would be a stupidly expensive change. I would have been tempted but NOT at that price.
Funny, I only got mine a few weeks back and never got this model.....I think I'll be having words with them that I got it from....Although saying that, mine does sound a lot better! Where did you buy from??

Yeah the display is really nice and I was hoping to get one of the new ones with it on. Kind of wish I didn't now though as it is terribly loud and has a blown controller already, so its probably a good thing that you stuck to the old controllers.
I got mine on eBay but it came from Poland like all the rest do. Hopefully its sorted soon. I just want to get out and do some Boostin!

I bought mine 2nd hand the front motor stutters on an off.
When I got it on single wheel drive it's not working at all just stutters.
Put it in 2 wheel drive an it goes but only getting 28mph then sometimes the front motor kicks back in am I'm going 34mph.
Not sure if the problem is water in the motor or it's a controller issue or loose wire.
Or if its because there's a shit battery init 17.5ah.
Did they tell you what the fault was on yours.
Sorry to hear that bud, I think they do get progressively worse. No they never said what it was. Although we've narrowed it down to a problem with the way the controllers are set up. If you want to totally solve it swap over to the older controllers and display. I've heard they have been shipping them with the smaller batteries, but mines the 23ah batt and I've still got issues

Yes that was the plan originally but apparently no motors or controllers in stock in Poland only in China, which would be 3 weeks versus replacement scooter within 7 days

@@bill-e6114 sometimes i think perhaps that the one you got was a return that was suppose !! to be fixed but got put back in the box and sent to you.. with some signs of scratches and miss handling, for you.. I think its a godsend that it did fail and you end up with what you should have had.. maybe wrong, but you never know what goes on behind closed doors..
I have this same scooter. Rode it once but it doesn't charge. Trying to get a replacement charge port but it's taking forever.
Its so frustrating when its sat there and you just can't get out on it and ride it
i have a m365 and the e brake was whining so i asked the manufacture what was it and they said the nut that holds the wheel was loose but im not saying it is im saying it could be.
but it did fix

Thanks bud, It was a real anticipated purchase so it was a bit crap. Especially when you hear how solid they are usually. I only waited a week and I've been told I'll have my replacement in a weeks time from Poland. It was from a seller on ebay and he's doing his best to help me out

How many years can kugoo m4 last from breaking if you take care good for it?
They will last longer if you DON'T ride in heavy rain, ride up really steep hills, do stunts or run the battery empty all the time. But problems can and will happen at any time so its hard to say

Why would you get a kugoo g booster without hydraulic brakes and trigger display lol ...
They are mods you do after you order it, they don't come like that over here
@@bill-e6114 Then you got the wrong reseller fortunately for me in my country i ve got a reseller that was able to ship it to me with nutt hydraulic brakes and trigger display which is much better and also with the trigger display for just 5 more euro s i cam enable electronic brake which helps a lot i only use the hydraulic in emergencies that s how powerfull it is and i also can change from hard start to soft start :)

@@bill-e6114 he forgot to mention that version is 250$ more over the basic model... which is not really good value. I got a new pair of nutt hydraulic brakes for 70 $ last month . As for trigger, this is strange, I have the push trigger old model, and I do have e brake, other people were surprised due to the fact normally they don't have.

I know a few people that have bought kugoo scooters on ebay with faults but they always got sent a good replacement it will all come good mate 👍
Hi bought my son a kugoo s1 and battery died I opened it up and all the wires are corroded inside he must of got it wet but it might be battery acid because it smells bad any help 🤬🤬🤬😩😩😩😩😩
The individual cells themselves are sealed so hopefully shouldn't be battery acid. It'll probably just be corrosion you can smell. Dry it all out and clean it to see what can be salvaged, the bms on the battery and the controller are probably knackered though if its that bad. Might be best off getting a new scooter

Very few and far between have had issues with the police, if your sensible and only go fast when no one is around your normally safe

37 miles doing full speed in 3 ? Or jus riding normally not fast ?
Just 37mph top speed initially when fully charged, it drops to 34-35mph after losing a couple of volts

@@DeeMcQueen Thank you, that was my aim. Sometimes there's so much BS its hard to know what to get. Definitely get the G Booster, best scooter at that price point. You get alot of scooter with good spec for the money. Yeah I just put mine down to bad luck and hope and pray the replacement is okay. Might be worth you looking at Solar a UK Company. Their P1 scooter has similar power for 940. Trying to get hold of one now to review and ride

Hi there, I haven't managed to fix it yet. Something to do with one of the controllers is my guess. I'll hopefully have it fixed soon

I'll be doing a video soon on it. Saying that though, I think it will be either wiring breaks or water ingress somewhere or into the lights themselves. As I'm not aware of any settings affecting the lights

No its not, M4 is a good scooter but the G Booster is a better scooter. I was unlucky and mine broke straight away. Usually they are solid and my new one should be fine🤞

I sent it back as blown mosfets in controller, cause I only had it a few days opted to send it back for a replacement

That happen to me on my 49cc gas kick scooter. I put in some liners and haven't had a issue "yet" and did run over some glass spots in bike lane. Tire liners were like $55 USD and it's for 28 inch fat tire bicycle but I just cut it down to size using a box knife.

@@daveythomas4473 Do they? Thought people do this all the time. I just chopped the valves off the old inner tubes when I went tubeless. You have to get a 90 degree attachment to pump them up and its slightly difficult to get in there but not too bad

@@bill-e6114 thanks for reply, plenty of kugoos scooters for sale here in Ireland but there is a big lack of user content about the scooters, i was looking at the G2 pro and the Zero 9 scooter and both brands have very little in the way of unbiased user reviews, bought my wife the ninebot max g30 so for piece of mind i may just purchase another one as im a bit apprehensive with lesser known brands.. thanks again
@@Lectrosoul its a shame the Kugoos suffer from rushed manufacturing. Otherwise they would be the scooter to get, but then again they are the cheaper choice for if you don't mind tinkering. Solar scooters are one to consider as they come with 2 year warranties. Their P1 is a contender to the G booster but import duty might put the price higher

Was going to look at it all as they offered to send a motor and controller. Then they said they would replace the whole scoot so didn't bother

@@bill-e6114 just normal riding but over 15mph my ebike is a DIY job but it's quick about 37mph I've had a go on the scooter and he's had a go on my bike he said it's got more torque than is scooter but I don't know if he's got is settings set properly
@@revparsons3tl Hmm my ebike is 2500w and its slightly slower with less torque than the scooter to about 20mph after that the ebike wins by quite a bit. Its upto you, the ebike is more stealthy but the scooter has a fairly big battery being 23ah and potentially more fun to ride

Ride it more like a bicycle and at bicycle speeds and you should be fine, police can't be arsed 99.9% of the time

@@LidlCarPark i have the m4 pro and live round the corner from a police station which i ride past nearly everyday, i got to talking to an officer a couple weeks ago (i wasnt pulled over) and the general consensus among the police is they can't be arsed, in fact one of the officers has a G2 booster too, same one as the video
Every scooter I've had came with issues after a day or 2 they're not reliable in my opinion which is the biggest turnoff because they're so fun.

i think youre ragging that scooter a bit m8 i dont think its designed to be used on rough bumpy terrain like that some stone or rocks could screw the motor up.
I had to put it through its paces 😀 Goes to show this one is not as tough as the older version
I ride my Xiaomi Pro 2 years on rough terrain worse than this and it's still working perfectly. This was clearly a burnt controller.

Hi Billy what was the problem with the shitty sound was it a controller problem? Reason I'm asking is my rear wheel started to do that and seemed to of lost a bit of power from that motor to with grinding sound especially pulling off or over rough terrain, if you need the settings for the controller I've done a video maybe you could help with a couple I didn't know,,,,, I love the g-booster tbh I'll just get another controller it's easy to take the foot plate off,, heres the vid of settings

Nice video buddy, saves me a job as I was going to do one myself. Yeah blown controller mosfets, these controllers are absolute crap on these, my new G does this too again straight out of the box, just not as bad. I am going to put 2 30 amp controllers in with 2 seperate throttles just for fun. Your right its great, we should of just bought 3 months earlier to get the older stronger controller version
@@bill-e6114 I found the place the controllers come from and the proper controller to be used ,there's 2 different controller options would you think the 35amp option would be good , I'll have to open the booster up again to see what controller they are using or do you know? ,, I think with a stronger controller the kugoo would be a beast if the controllers keeps up to they're job ,,, let us know what you think,

@@ElectricunicyclesUK Think your right these are the same controllers and displays. I would check though as original boosters had no hall sensors. Dont know whether they added them to the motors on the newer one as I'm yet to check. The older booster controllers were 23a so no way they are 35a more like the 20a I would say. The only risk here is pulling 70a from that battery may damage it. But good thing is the current can be turned down if the bms trips often. Also they maybe more reliable too, seen as though they're rated at max 35a. Good find! And I'm now wondering whether this noise is hall sensor order related. Cause I have had 2 now that do this out of the box

Whatever Kugoo says, this scooter is not supposed to do this. Although they will make out its normal from what I have heard. Best option really is to source 2 older type controllers and the screen then replace

There is a youtuber (owns a g- booster as well) who solved a simular problem with switching the controllers front and back.

you just need to allign it.. common.... its like bike simply alligning the break pad.... use allen keys then fix it. as simple as that.. don't complain as if you have broken heart...
