We talked before about the one near Niagara Falls. It's a little different. The river is much wider so you dont have that scary aspect. But, the jet boat climbs steep Rapids. It was crazy to go up a rapid. We were soaked even though we were dressed similar to you. They also would spin the boat super fast.

Thanks for sharing your experience at Shotover. I really enjoyed the experience, too, but we ended up in the last row. We went in winter and my soaked jeans froze on the walk back to the hotel.

We just did the Shotover Jet this morning and it was so amazing! We were on the 10:15 departure as well, just missed you by a day or two I guess. We've just done the trip from Christchurch with a few nights in Lake Tekapo and now in Queenstown. We can actually see the Mi-Pad place you stayed in from our accommodation, so it's like we've been doing the same trip but in reverse and just missing you! Enjoy your road trip!

We did the K jet instead of the shotover, we actually hit the bottom of the boat on the riverbed it was pretty amazing what those jet boats can do lol
