Thanks for the stable video. I am impressed with how stable your video is while riding the shotover jet. What type of accessory did you use to hold on to the GoPro? Did you use a head strap? A chest strap? Shoulder or backpack strap? Or just hold the GoPro with one hand (which would be more amazing).
Hi there, on this ride we are only able to use the head strap. I had a chest strap ready to go but was told I couldn't use that. They had a head strap for hire which was good since i didn't have mine on me. Thank you for your comment.
@@followthekims thanks for your reply. What month did you ride this? (January? December?) And what is the temperature at that time? I see that most passengers wore winter clothes and head coverings. Thanks!
@@SuperMint-p1g this was November 2022, I can recall the temperature wasn't too cold maybe early 20 degrees? The reason why we wore jackets was because the waters cold if we were to get wet, also cold wind when the jet boats racing up and down the river. Thank you
@@followthekims no problem mate, me and my family done it in 2012 when we were over from Scotland, highly enjoyed it and cannot wait to go back and visit again!
In the gorge its deep but it gets shallow when the river opens out. These boats have a little more v in the hull but still only need about 3 inches of water when they are moving.
This river is gold rich. In that area below the gorge they were getting a shovel of gold for 3 of gravel. At the bottom where they turn around is tuckers beach, named that because you could always get enough for a feed.

How deep is the river?
Unsure the depth of the river but it cant be that deep as its very clear.
