Not only are we getting a second season (officially confirmed last Thursday (12/19),.. but WB Home Video announced today, their date for "Dune: Prophecy"'s season 1 physical media release --4K, Blu-ray and DVD. It's April 25th and preorders are up already.
I'm enjoying the show so far. This breakdown/prediction was awesome for a new Dune fan. I really enjoyed how you tied the show events to the books... It makes me want to read them. I also agree that it would be awesome if Dune Prophecy is somehow setting up the big bad in Dune part 3
Harold also bypassed his Aunts abilities to read people and to me thats quite impressive. He downplays himself with effective and stunning ruthlessness.
Great question!!!! I don’t really see a way how she was told in the afterlife because she didn’t even know her acolytes where dead in first place , I believe that old lady told her where her and Tula and the sisters threw the bodies
Ynez Cornno, Kieran Atreides and Mikaela are the most likable characters, with Desmond and Tula the most interesting. Valya and the Empress the most evil. RIP Emperor and Francesca, a Shakespearean end for them. Harrow is the perfect worm 🪱
Both could have been better. The TV series was way too short (irrespective of the writer’s strike), the “movie” was too slow in its first episode and played it a little too loose. So both had their bad and ok moments with a sprinkling of good. Hard to compare.
The latest two DUNE films are far better than any previous efforts and serve as a masterclass on the science fiction genre as well as adapting novels. They set a new standard. The films and this TV series are interpretations.... adapted for new mediums... with new constraints and new possibilities and new technologies (such as IMAX, etc.). The DUNE universe requires writers and directors and actors who are GOOD.... to breathe new life into an old story that no longer benefits from the direct instruction of the original creator, Frank Herbert. Let's not dismiss the GOOD... in search of perfection that does not exist. Will there be some things that we don't like... sure, but nobody can please all of the people any of the time. I think the new DUNE part one and part two films are extraordinary! But not everyone loves sci-fi films or will like the series: how is that different from other artistic production?
Season finale was a hot mess. A lot of things that made no sense at all. Frankly, there aren't any characters that one can truly care about. All corrupt to the core. Bring back the thinking machines.
@@mikepanick9362 Whine? Because a person respects the material and wants to see a good show, it is then whining to find any faults? How will writers and directors improve if they never get constructive reviews? If the viewers only applaud every mediocrity, then mediocrity is what they will continue getting. I've seen shows in the past improve in later seasons. One hopes the same happens with this one.

How, HOW did Lila/Dorotea know where the bodies were? How?
She could smell them 😂 Who the hell puts all those in there? It would be minging
maybe they told her on afterlife. huge plot hole.

@@MooreFitness007maybe that's just where they put all the bodies??
Or it's a tradition to dispose of bodies@@wolvewick4414

valya is like cersie of dune with traits of margery and daenerys
How did those bodies or bones not float to the surface of the pool 🤔?
Bones don’t float in water , as for the bodies … I’m guessing she attached them to something heavy to keep them down.
Ragnar, that is all.
Thank you!
Season 2 has already been confirmed. Was confirmed before the final... Kinda click baity
Isn’t Theodosia dead? Killed by Desmond…
Desmond said to put the "thing" in the suspension cells. Meaning she's not dead.
This dune serie is beter than the movie dune👍👍👍👍
Nope

I think both are amazing in their own way. Should've been 8 ep. at least tho
