I was thinking in that scene when Tula was guiding Valya through the virus that this was the start of the mantra "I shall not fear. Fear is the mind killer. Fear is the little death that brings obliteration..."
Remember that Omnius send his minds in many space probes. One ended on Arrakis and was eaten by Worm. So mayby this one Omnius mind survived inside Worm.
I love this series, Travis Fimmel OMG WOW he is so amazing in the series. He always brings his movies to the best. Travis is the sexiest man I’ve ever seen with those sexy blue eyes and that beautiful smile just makes you melt.
The hooded figure controlling the thinking machine is either the Omnius mind sent out before the fall of the thinking machines, or it is the Mentat Draigo Roget on Arrakis. I lean towards the latter and this is why. The window the hooded figure is standing in front of is very familiar to those of the architecture on Arrakis (where Desmond Hart was), which is where Draigo was sent after the fall of Denali in the Navigators of Dune book. This is important because Draigo helped Anna Corrino smuggle Arasmus' memory core to Denali after Gilbertus Albans was executed at the school house on Lampadas. As a mentat, Draigo knew how important the Arasmus memory core was and had the ability with all the technology on Denali to copy it and bring it with him, knowing he would be able to strike a deal with Emperor Rodderick Corrino and escape. Later, the two could have joined forces to bring about the end of the imperium which "killed" Josef Venport (Draigo's benefactor/mentor) and allowed Gilbertus (Arasmus' "son") to be killed by extremists. My two cents based off the canon of where this show gets its material.
Neither are integral to the series, which is already crowded for a six episode season. Now that the BG AI has been smashed, maybe Mentats will make an appearance but I don't recall if they are around in this time period. I expect Spacing Guild to be active in Denis' third movie because they are in the book.
You can only do so much with only 6 episodes without sacrificing character development. However, with enough fan and viewer support, there is much potential for filling out this mythical universe with all the most desireable elements over multiple seasons.
I enjoyed this series more than say the higher rated Silo, but at times the poor script continuity was frustrating. Sister Theodosia is elevated in earlier episodes so there’s this building feeling that she is going to be important but when her moment comes it completely fizzled out. Her transformation into Princess Ynez served no purpose, then she transformes into a guard that does a poor job of stabbing Desmond even though the sisters are supposed to be trained killers with their knives. That’s just one of many, but this was a very very good looking show.
@@the_curtains I recall he was very into human behaviour an emotions, and since the "virus" works with fear and his later devotion for the Kwisatz Haderach. I see too many pieces fitting but could be wrong, he also loved medical experiments.
I'm not sure ignorin it's retconed but vorian and griffin actually became friends on arrakis gfriffin was killed by someone hunting vorian and vorian sent a letter and griffin body back to lankivel so valya and kierren working together is like a callback
Book reader X 60 years. Desmond DNA manipulation scene in episode 6 means Desmond is actually a Ghola Like Duncan Idaho in the books.. More will be revealed in Season 2. Best episode so far. Books are way better.
@ that was what she was supposed to do. But we clearly see Desmond get stabbed by the guard that yelled, for the sisterhood. Then started changing back just like her
No one wants to see a woman Emperor in the next series. I was kinda let down in episode 6 all that coming back to life and overthrowing the sisterhood was a waste of time.
No one will be on pens and needles waiting for season 2. They made six episodes. By the time season 2 rolls around, no one will even remember that the first six were made.
If the Corinno dynasty is to make it 10,000 years into the future, that seems necessary. If Inez takes the throne for the Sisterhood, why are the Bene Gesserit still struggling for ultimate control 10,000 years later? Besides, I'd like to see Constantine come into his own and prove himself.
this series was surprisingly enjoyable
it was worth it for sure
"she's like Cersei but with Tywin's intelligence" is such an accurate analogy

I’ve read every Dune book and loved Dune: Prophesy’s treatment of the beginnings of the Sisterhood. Your review felt right-on, so keep on posting!

Interesting idea
Such a shame it’s only 6 episodes. Half the people aren’t even going to know it’s a thing
Natalya will lose in the end because the Sisterhood is still alive and well 10,000 years later.
Great commentary..thanks
i'd like to see the butlerian jjihad trilogy on on tv
Dune: Prophecy is darn GOOD!
Thanks for mot spending 90% of your video with a plot summary. We all watched the thing ffs. Nice analysis, and best exposition that I have seen. 👍
Excellent analysis.

His eyes are meant to be creepy…and they are! 😂

Crazy to me that not only are the mentate's not in the show but the guild navigators are in neither the show or Movies

Guild navigators are likely to be in the 3rd movie

I liked it. There were parts I really liked. It wasn't earth shattering. That's ok.
Doesn't the mysterious figure behind Hart's modification dressed like a sister?
I thought the same thing, why would the narrator assume it's a man, can't wait to find out though.
@orangebucky Maybe he is thinking of Anakin 😂. The force vs the voice crossover?
Guys ign gave it a 5 let it sink in.
Didn’t the face dancer chick die. She was the one who stabbed Desmond
No she was put into STA/held in place in her cell.

How are you sure that's a man in a hood overlooking Desmond's eye implant ? Might it be a woman or a sister ?
