    Kinda bummed out with more negativity than usual in the the comments today. Yes, it's an extremely expensive palette (this is WTF), and you can totally live without it ... but I test products for a living and I absolutely LOVE it. But the one thing I value more than anything is my credibility with you guys - so I'm never going to put myself out there and say I love something when it's bad. I wasn't paid to make this video, I don't have an affiliate link and my opinion cannot be swayed with free makeup. So I'd really love it if we could steer the conversation back to something positive. Thanks so much for watching and your incredible support. xo's

    Honestly no one will ever understand the amount of product you get and how HUGEEEE the pans are in the palette until you actually purchase the palette and see it in person. In ever video and picture the pans looks pretty small but I promise everyone that when u get any of the palettes in your hands you will be shocked at how huge the pans are just like I was when my big Natasha palettes arrived. After purchasing her two big palettes I went and bought her 10 shadow palette too just so I could own every single color she makes. And I can not wait for this Friday to buy this beautiful star palette 😍😍🙌🏻🙌🏻

      I'm sorry, I'm lol-ing at the idea of these names being from Harry Potter... I'm not being mean tho, I swear, because thats the first thing I thought of too when she said the names! but those words were all actual words before they showed up in HP, I promise! "bellatrix" is Latin for "female warrior" and is the name of a star in the Orion constellation... a diadem is a crown, taken from Latin, Greek, and Middle English, etc :) the more ya know! 🌈😊

    As a professional makeup artist, I LOVE offering Natasha Denona eyeshadows to my clients. They are superb quality and when you do the math and price them out per pan, they're very reasonably priced as a palette. Looks like this is another ND palette to add to my kit! Can't wait.

    • @kel05bos
      @kel05bos 8 років тому +11

      Also, in case this helps sway anyone on the fence about these palettes, the pans are magnetic and are easily popped from the palette using a cosmetic spatula. I love doing this when I only want to take a few of her shadows with me onsite or mix and match to create my own palette.

    • @nyaweh8156
      @nyaweh8156 8 років тому +4

      I think that is what people are missing. Not every makeup brand caters to the everyday makeup wearer some of them are strictly thinking of makeup artists in mind. Also isn't fall out with metallic shades just what comes with the territory? I don't think people are comprehending the difference between an eye shadow and a pressed pigment.

    • @kel05bos
      @kel05bos 8 років тому +2

      nya:węh Fallout definitely comes with the territory with pressed pigments. I like to apply these with my ring finger if I forego glitter adhesive, though you can create such a cool foiled, textured look with adhesive. This is why I LOVE these shadows. I will say the older formula is akin to the MUG foiled shadows, but you're still going to pay $250+ to own all of those!
      I'm really excited to try these new formulas. And I'll say it again: the ability to pop these pans in and out so easily is a game changer for me. The Purple/Blue palette has no transition shades whatsoever, so I will often pop a few pans out and throw it into a Z-palette to take with me on gigs. Makes it totally worth it.

    Could you do a brush tutorial all about the eyes and really go in depth with each type of brush you like to use on your eye for different purposes? I am always playing around with different looks on myself and sometimes struggle to find the right brushes. I find it easier to apply eyeshadow to other people but I struggle to feel good about my own eye looks. Thanks!

    Tati, i love you, but this was not good. It didn't blend that good, it was patchy, and the foiled shade obviously did not work and looked kinda bad. It wasn't that sparkly once applied. You had fallout all over your cheeks during check ins, and at the end of the day, it was down to a slight shimmer, not a reflective foiled look at all. You usually look a lot better than this. So we know you have the skill. It's the product. I think you really wanted to love this, but it doesn't really seem like a great product.

      imakefoodhappen, sadly I agree with everything you said. I did love a lot of the colors when swatched though, but the performance was not that great, as you said. I would like to see a tutorial with some of the other peachy/orange/gold type colors to see if I change my mind.

    • @BurgundyandBlue1111
      @BurgundyandBlue1111 8 років тому +61

      +imakefoodhappen I was surprised at her rave review. You could see that fallout all over her face in evening. Also, she did not do live swatching. We don't know how much effort she had to put in to make those swatches look that great. I just feel like something is up, giving an over-priced, lackluster product such high marks. I heard some of these gurus are secretly paid to give great reviews. I was hoping she was not one of them, but if she could give this palette a rave review it makes me wonder was she paid to do so - because it is clearly not that good.

      I agree with all these comments I believe she is being too forgiving and I dont understand why if the video clearly shows this is not a palette worth that kind of money. I am doubting her credibility I hope she is as forgiving with other palettes as well for example the Huda rose gold palette if Tati ever reviews any of her products. I am kind of disappointed.

    THEY ARE PRESSED PIGMENTS people. not regular eyeshadows. You people pay $10 a piece for makeup geek foiled shadows and think its a "steal"...well these are less, higher quality, and MORE product. These are meant for makeup artists. Natasha Denona is a world reknown makeup artist and is doing fine without lowering her prices. don't want it, don't buy it but im so over the bitching about the price on every single video and post.... stick with your 10 different cheap ass palettes that you don't even use...it isn't always quantity over quality.

      a lot of times the way the camera alters the way it looks on screen. Especially with shimmer eyeshadows it won't catch the color all at the same time making look different than it really does. theres a lot about lighting and screens that just affect the look of the shadows. i think Tati has really built a credibility up on youtube and she loves the pallet, I 100% know its an amazing product. :)

    I don't like that it claims that it's a "No Fallout" palette yet it had a TON of it......I was waiting for you to make that point to us. To me, it's HUGE when a company claims that their product is a no fallout palette yet there's so much of it. I don't understand why they would even put those words in writing.

    • @nadiaishaq9156
      @nadiaishaq9156 8 років тому +2

      Jennifer Dernai-Garavaglia oh I didn't j is. Does it say no fallout about this palette somewhere ?

    • @sugarkookies2369
      @sugarkookies2369 8 років тому +2

      Yes, there's a card that comes in the palette box that states there's no fallout in this palette.

    • @nyaweh8156
      @nyaweh8156 8 років тому +11

      I've haven't seen that anywhere? I can't imagine they would claim that because pressed pigments are different than eye shadows. Pressed pigments are basically a loose pigment that its tightly pressed into a container therefore when you swirl around in them they will become a loose pigment. Think loreal infallible shadows that's why they have those little plastic top inside to keep it pressed down. If you took a knife to it it would eventually just turn into a loose pigment. The mattes were eye shadows and those have no fallout. I don't think people are getting the difference.

    • @sugarkookies2369
      @sugarkookies2369 8 років тому +18

      If you go to "readysetglamour" (Michelle's) channel, she shows you the card that they claim this on, in her video. I understand that there's fallout and why, the company shouldn't have made that claim.

    • @jossalyn5632
      @jossalyn5632 8 років тому +2

      nya:węh that actually IS a claim that they make. Sephora and beautylish also have those claims listed.

    Relax with the moratorium on Talc. Very few people have any actual sensitivity to it, and no, it doesn't cause cancer. Its unique rating of 1 on the Mohs scale of hardness and ability to absorb oil makes it a valuable addition to any company's formulary arsenal.

    • @skinsciencebymira
      @skinsciencebymira 8 років тому +7

      Leuca S. I'm not afraid to put talc on my face but I will say that when I checked the ingredients on my favorite eyeshadows none of them had it. it's a cheap filler. I do avoid talc in face powders though, talc based powders are soo dry.

    • @Leuca.
      @Leuca. 8 років тому +3

      Mira Aguirre
      it's a very absorbent ingredient, which can be a good thing for some people, like myself, who have very oily skin and benefit from its ability to keep your oily spots in check. Calling it a cheap filler ignores the unique benefits it can have when properly used in a formula.

      it's worth calling out. I get cystic acne from talc (when a product is highly concentrated with it) and olive oil and almost nothing else. your opinion might be biased as it benefits your skin, but it hugely damages mine and many others'. not something you absolutely have to avoid, but worth mentioning as a disclaimer for those who are sensitive

      Just seems like a lot of the shades are similar, which is odd. Just looking at the palette if you pause at 1:09 there's three golds, two dark browns, two cranberries, two taupes, two pinky-browns and FOUR peachy/light browns. I get the finishes are different, etc...But for a $169 palette I'd expect far more variety than that.

      literally "only" $9+ per shadow. $9 per shadow is NOT cheap. Especially not when it's $9x18. There are so many palettes, even at Sephora, with as many or MORE colors for less money. That's a ton to spend on one eyeshadow palette.

    • @weannies
      @weannies 8 років тому +6

      beccaisinvisible of course there are tonsss of places to get more shadows in a lot cheaper of a price, I agree! but you have to remember that you are also paying for the name and quality. if you are feeling a litle extraaaa, go purchase it! if not, there are tons of more affordable and almost equally as great options like you said

    • @beccaisinvisible
      @beccaisinvisible 8 років тому +8

      jeannie lee my point is that many of the defensive people her are acting like $150 is an amount of money that can be thrown out the window. You can't deny that that IS a lot to spend on a palette and to be quite honest, it's insulting to people who can't afford it to act like it's so casual. It's ridiculously expensive. It can still be worth the price that it is, but that doesn't make the price any less than it is.

      I think people need to learn the difference between an eye shadow and a pressed pigment which most foil shadows are. You simply can't get that type of metallic color without some fall out. . Pressed pigments are basically a loose pigment that is tightly pressed into a container therefore when you swirl around in them they will become a loose pigment again because you are loosening the "pressed/packing" and it starts to go back to being a regular loose pigment. Think loreal infallible shadows that's why they have those little plastic top inside to keep it pressed down. If you took a knife to it it would eventually just turn back into a loose pigment. The mattes were eye shadows and those have no fallout. I don't think people are getting the difference. Just like you can't get a super matte liquid lipstick without some dryness or most red shadows without some staining. It just comes with that territory until someone figures it out. Yeah it'd be nice if they were just left loose and in a container but then you wouldn't be able to easily include those metallic colors in a palette who's gonna want a palette with 5 jars of loose pigment on the side. Especially since this is a brand that caters to MUAs and not the average person.

    I'm not feeling this palette at all. I see people saying it's basically $10 per shadow but that still doesn't sell me on it. There was too much fallout with that glittery shade and the brown shade used did not blend well in my opinion. I expect quality with a price tag like this, especially when you can get 35 shades in a morphe palette for 23 bucks, and those shadows work well.

    Let's just talk math for a moment. Just for all of the people who are complaining about the price. This is a HIGH END eyeshadow pallet. It is not meant to be a frugal buy. This is why it is a WTF video. Let's look at Urban Decay single eyeshadows for a moment. They are roughly 19.00. A little more for certain types of shadow. Let assume here that the eyeshadows in this pallet are roughly half the size of the single shadows. Even with cutting the price in half 18 shadows would still cost 171.00 usd. Stop being so negative about it. She isn't saying you have to run out and get this pallet tomorrow. She is giving her honest review on the pallet for fellow makeup enthusiasts such as myself to see if it will be a buy that would be worth it. Now about the fallout, she was honest in saying it had fallout. If she were being dishonest she could have made it seem like there was none. Some of these shadows are pressed pigments that will have fallout no matter what. Stop being so harsh on her for trying to bring something to the table for those of us that care about the more expensive pallets. This is clearly a wtf video. If you want something less expensive go watch the many videos she has of that nature.
    Keep doing what you are doing Tati. You are incredible and I love watching ALL of your videos.

I feel like you get more lasting shimmer from a colourpop super shock shadow, especially if you're just going to be using your finger anyway. My opinion is that if you like any of the colors in this palette, just get a dupe! I mean $9.50 a shade is not TOO bad but you can get a matching shade for cheaper still. :) Thanks for the review, Tati! Glad you will be able to find use out of it.

    As a newbie to eyeshadows, I just can't handle the crumbly metallic pigments. Sadly, I don't think this is for me. But I do love my lorac pro, viseart and modern renaissance palettes.

      This metallic shadow was way more crumbly than most metallic shadows... If you want some kind of shimmer I would recommend the Stila In The Light palette. Its my favorite palette for shimmers; they are extremely pigmented.

    I'm not liking that palette. Usually, Tati reviews are accurate, but I don't understand how during the check in, she didn't see all the fallout on her face. Also that white shimmery eyeshadow looks so patchy. We can see her naked eyelid in some part. Also, I feel I can't trust her swatches as they aren't live swatches. The only one she did live swatch is that burgundy shade and it was patchy. She said that it is probably the best eyeshadow palette. How? I feel she tried to like that palette because it was send to her. After that video I feel I have to be more careful about her reviews..

      Missbubblefishy the fallout was already there it wasn't like it wasn't there in the first place she even said the car light was shitty, ontop of that when trying to sweep away fall out not all of it goes away..... don't be so critical like she said she should've used a glitter glue, which most people do use when apply shimmery colors or even press pigments they will use a glitter glue. Why do you people always have something negative to say about Tati..??? If you want the palette and you need it get it, if you want it to add to your collection then get it... if you don't like it then don't get it. Everyone's going to have a different opinion and this one is hers so get over it

      Honestly I think through the check ins esp when she was getting coffee with James and said she looks super glittery & she did not purchase it herself, it's somewhat like a hidden message she want us to know that it is not a good product yet she has to say some nice things for the product. I do prefer abh modern renaissance over this palette, price is too high, quality and color choice is just no-no. But srsly why would she say her face looks somewhat glittery unless she want us to get the hint 😂

    • @Kaalyn_HOW
      @Kaalyn_HOW 8 років тому +2

      I don't think you need to question her integrity at all. She gave us full disclosure that it was sent to her. Who is going to rail a "gift", and especially one from another UA-camr. But moreover, haven't you _ever_ had a bias in your life? Wanting to love something so bad you can't see it's not good for you? Loving a movie everyone else thinks is terrible? It's not a credibility issue. It's a load of influencing factors. But she gave you them all so that you can deduce for yourself where the truth lies. She didn't conceal that it was a gift, she was legit about the fallout and the crappy swatch, and that it's more expensive bc there's less product. She gave us full-disclosure, she just wanted to be kind.

    The palette was designed so that the user could take any three shades across, down, or diagonal to create a cohesive look. Also, the price is high, yes, but it is also being offered for three installment payments and you receive the palette with the first payment--you don't need to pay it off first. That doesn't make it any less expensive, and making payments on makeup might seem silly, but if you really want this palette and $170 is too much in one chunk, that is an option.

    I own a couple of Natasha's smaller palettes and her eye shadows are beautiful. I bought the smaller ones at separate times when I could afford them because I really wanted to try her product, I just can't afford the big palettes sadly but I'm good with the smaller ones from Beautylish. Although I like her shadows I don't think I would buy the bigger more expensive palettes but I appreciate your review. I always appreciate your reviews even if I can't afford some of the products ;o)

    If a pallete is as much as my electric bill, it better not have fallout or any other problems. If some people want to spend that much on a pallet I won't judge, but lorac mega pallete is $60 for 32 shadows, just sayin.

    I loved your eye look, the lower lash line really made your eyes pop and I didn't think it looked too bright! When I used that color all over my lid it built up nicely and wasn't patchy at all, but I agree, it doesn't swatch the best. Thanks for the tutorial in the video, I LOVED the final look!!! Don't worry about the negativity about the price. Your job is to report the news and the options in makeup and it's up to the view to decide if the product fits the qualities they are looking for and the price point they are willing to spend! Amina Ajaj we expect her honest opinions on product reviews and 'WTF' is a playlist/theme on her channel where she reviews rediculously overpriced products, i highly doubt shes intentionally liking high end over drugstore lately, we just have to be understanding
