"I took Bob to see Frank & Sammy.” - Stan Lynch
“I love those guys.” - Bob Dylan
in 1980 in SF I was a young guy parking cars by day and punk clubbing at night...I got an offer to work for Bill Graham presents, the gig was baking piroshkis before the Bob show....the stage was right above the huge oven where I was baking these gross things...I heard footsteps and tuning instruments overhead, sound check, but Bob won't be there, I thought...then the played Watchtower and he began to sing...there was a spiral staircase that lead up, I took it, wound around and came up right on the stage. literally 25 feet from Bob and the band...this was his Slow Train tour, the christian stuff...Bob had on jeans and a leather coat, long hair, shades and a dark brown leather jacket... I saw his eyebrow arch up..when the song ended, he summoned a big dude who came up to me and said "Bob doesn't know you, says you make him nervous" (lololo)...he laid his hand on my shoulder, squeezed a subtle vice flex, and lead me off stage, back to my piroshki cave, my pleas (not very christian, man...hey, man, I work for BGP-doy!)) were for naught
Do you still make those awful things😝
@@cheryldanieri7359 hahaha, no, in fact I don't think I have seen one since let alone eat one...gross....there are not too many of those things on the left coast
