- According to a new datamine, a Brand new Character seems to be joining the Crash Bandicoot Universe. And he comes from the World of Warcraft Universe. Yeah Crash Team Rumble seems to be getting crazy; and its gonna get real explosive when Dr. Boom Shows up to play.

As much as I don't mind crossovers, there are so many more core Crash characters yet to appear in this game that I'd rather they focused on those instead of pulling other IPs in so early. Spyro is one thing but it feels like it's going to be at least another 6 months before we even see someone as core as Tiny...
I feel like they want Tiny's first reveal to be in Crash 5 and not a spin off
Yeah, Crash Team Rumble has a MAJOR lack of core Crash characters as it is. It was quite jarring, especially after the absolutely phenomenal roster we got in CTRNF. Not even Tiny? Come on, man.
I honestly wouldn't mind them adding characters from other ips. Would be fun and help bring in more players.
Back when I filled out the feedback survey, I asked for more Playstation characters, like Sir Dan, Abe and Sweet Tooth, but bringing in other Activision IPs seems much easier.

I really hope they start adding more Crash characters from the ND and Post ND games. After all they said that characters from the Crash Bandicoot universe are going to be playable

Still suprised they haven’t added Nina Cortex yet since She’s probably more popular and well known in the Franchise.
Goblins are probably the only faction that would work in the Crash universe from Warcraft. Theyre extra-cartoony and zainy compared to the rest of warcraft.
It's also worth noting the very obvious implication of Dr. Boom being a mad scientist whom is incredibly morally challenged. Crash is quite familiar with this kind of villain of course.
I would love to see the Evil Twins as playable characters and also have a Twinsanity stage and music they could have the realics spawn Mecha Bandicoot and you can control him you can shoot plasma blast rockets and use his chain saw the possibilities are endless

DR. BOOM could be a Spyro 4 boss as well. maybe
One thing I will say is that, as a boss OR a playable Dr Boom would be interesting. As a playable not even mech extrordinare N Gin was allowed to play in one, while as a boss, Dr Boom looks to be more elaborate than the current Party Mode opponents. It adds to the idea that Rumble is slowly growing and becoming more elaborate.
Dr. Boom is far and away not the most popular warcraft character, but easily near the top of the list of characters that make sense in Crash.
He's a mad scientist that likes explosions.....with a doctorate.
That's half of our villains.
Interesting crossover. Here is hoping that Crash does come into World of Warcraft or at least one of his other characters in the franchise.

I know who Dr. Boom is and I have to say, crossover stuff like this makes me feel ascended. Maybe if I'm lucky, we'll get some Crash Bandicoot cards in Hearthstone. Or at least a Crash skin for one of the playable classes.
I loved HoTS and would've loved to have some Crash characters in there, but it doesn't surprise me that much that Crash is getting a wow character.
The closest we ever came to Crash was Hogger. He has a similar spin attack that deals a ton of dps. If HoTs had continued, then maybe they could have added a skin for him inspired by Crash lol
In that case, add Banjo & Kazooie to the game, since MS owns now the Crash IP. And throw in Conker as well.

Former WoW player here, Played from 2004 to 2020. Seeing the Doc show up in a non-Warcraft IP throws me for a loop. World of Warcraft may have it's controversies but as both a longtime crash fan (Grew up with the OG playstation) and former warcraft fan, I feel he's a good fit. His Devices have a similar energy in canon to those that Cortex, Brio, and N.gin would create, destructive but prone to the effects of Hubris (And hitting it really hard)

Insert Michael Scott "No" GIF. There are so many other characters to draw from before crossing over to "wow." Tiny Tiger, Komodo Brothers, Papu Papu, Koala Kong, Original N.Tropy, Crunch, and a ton of other characters already in the Crash franchise and Crash Team Racing. In terms of crossover, let's get Spyro first, which I think will happen in Season 3 along with the announcement of Spyro 4 at Game Awards in December. Then after exhausting other Spyro crossover characters, consider an expansion akin to Smash Bros.
On another note, I think TFB did a good job with the party modes this season.

Ya know, this could be the event where we finally get that Satyr/Whitemane Tawna skin, I always did think it was pretty random having a fantasy themed skin for her (and possibly others) and I keep hoping it would be released soon - but now it makes more sense! I reckon this Dr Boom guy's gonna end up being one of the Party Mode bosses, either way I look forward to seeing what else comes for Rumble :D

i can honestly see a explosion happy mad genuis of a goblin bein a part of the crash franchise due to how quarky the characters are i can totally see a goblin from wow be sent to crash and actiblizz making him as funny as like cortex

I had made a video a few days ago predicting that Ripto wasn't the only hero coming this season (this was before the calendar was published, which debunked that part of the theory). I also had come to the conclusion that it was not going to be the other Spyro characters because the season was not Spyro-themed (I also predicted who it would have been by what maps we were getting this season).
But if Dr. Boom really is going to be the next playable character, oh boy could I have never seen that coming.

Oh whoa, that co-op mode actually looks pretty cool. Game could've used that at launch. I rented the game a while back and I'm still curious about joining back in, but at this point it will be on PS+ or something for me to do that. Either way, this is such a whacky crossover, I'm just baffled how Spyro isn't in the game yet. Maybe they're scheming an entire themed 'season' around such an event, that would make sense.

You know, I could argue: with the frequent crossovers between Crash Bandicoot and Spyro, at the very least the two shared a history with one another, from demos to cameos, to a crossover game. A character from World of Warcraft... Doesn't really have a place within Crash Bandicoot. And, I'm sure I'm not the only one to say this: There's so many other characters that I'm sure people would have wanted to see INSTEAD of this?

Though Hearthstone is based on WoW, HS is way more lighthearted and humor based then wow. If Wow is a more griddy movie, HS is the saturday morning cartoon. Dr. Boom especially is a joke villain, filled with funny dialogue and chaotic humor, that he honestly would fit within Crashes world like a glove.

This video got me thinking about something... if they are bringing characters from other IPs to promote they're released and/or upcoming games, the what if they bring characters from other companies' IPs to promote these companies' released or upcoming games as console exclusive playable characters? (For example: the Male and/or Female Octoling(s) as Nintendo Switch exclusive playable character(s) to promote Splatoon 3 and its upcoming Side Order DLC for the Splatoon 3 Expansion Pass)
It's just an idea that I thought about but I'm sure this wouldn't happen! (even though I wish this could happen...)

Personally, I think this is an odd choice, and I’m not understanding (if this is to come true) (even with the knowledge that this is a crossover character), why a decision would be made (as it currently seems to me) to include this character first before introducing more mainline characters from the Crash universe.. but we’ll just have to wait and see.. it just seems like a strange decision in my personal opinion.. include main characters before crossovers.. it’s not that I’m against including crossover characters, it’s just I would expect the mainline and Crash universe characters to come first over more obscure and non-Crash universe characters.. Idk, just seems like common sense to me. Adding crossovers before mainlines would make the game feel a bit cash-grabby (once again .. as does the BP).. just saying.. All I’m saying is I hope they add other Crash universe characters first before this guy, if he is coming to the game. Let’s see characters like Tiny, The Komodo Bros., Koala Kong added to this game first, please.

I don't get this style of marketing, as one of crash's biggest fans I would never touch World of Warcraft even with crash cosmetics - so it is a TON of effort for maybe $100 worth of fans that would pay to try out another game, or otherwise just poor business.
It's like ads in general, I'm 35 and I'm convinced I have never purchased any product based on an ad ever, literally never seen anything that's made me think "that looks good, I'll get that" - the only exception is movies with "that looks better than I expected'
Dumb idea. Dumb reason. You can’t just mix and match characters from different universes just cuz there is an over arching comparing crontroling all the IP. It just dilutes the individual games.
