Today I look at a sweet 475 Intrepid. Unfortunately it had an engine failure due to timing belt pulley. Thanks for watching. Need Parts? Click The Link Below for a discount shareasale.com...
The Intrepid appears to be well done with almost MilSpec wiring and plumbing. In the Haulover inlet videos, the Intrepids perform very well, especially in the hands of an experienced Captain.
Love the Intrepid, but I wonder why the owner didn't specify a full-height windshield? The isinglass over the top of the windshield probably never gets removed, but it gets opaque from salt spray and the metalwork at the top of the windshield impedes the forward view when standing. Intrepid is semi-custom so you can specify any sort of T-top and windshield for their boats. I've read that 425 Yamaha's are quite noisy motors. I'll bet four of them roaring at the transom must create quite the din. That engine sounds like it's beyond repair. If it isn't covered under a Yamaha warranty it will be an expensive event for the owner. Good video, looking forward to hearing the extent of the damage to the 425.
that's not something you see often. the timing belt just fell off. not good.he will survive fine wth just 3 engines.still fast. the boat is super nice. fresh rooms and like the planning.
Hard to find anything bad about an Intrepid-Little things like the fuel cap cover and all the stainless handles and lifts on the hatches just say”Quality” Owners gotta hope he got 6 yr warranties on those YAMIES
In your opinion, how does the quality of the pursuit builds compare to Intrepid? They have both always been very impressive to me. Definitely better than my little crownline up here at my lake. Ha.
Intrepid is in a class by itself. They build custom order boats as Pursuit builds boats like a car dealership. Intrepid is ordered only from the factory and always has a year or 2 of orders waiting. Pursuit is on the high end of normal boats.
Great tour, thanks!
Thanks for watching ☺️

I see your point with the windshield. He bought the boat used. Not sure about the warranty. Not my department. Hopefully 🤞
Justin, please keep us update on this!!!!
I definitely will. 😊
Yikes, catastrophic failure on a $40k powerhead. Sure hope he got the 5 year extended warranty.
My dream boat😊
Me too😊

I have never seen one break on a 425 Yamaha. It is crazy that it will still run 40 mph on 3 motors😊
Looks like the tensioner bearing blew apart. Must have been getting salt water on it
Very possible. Salt water is evil.
Any idea about the problem or whether it’s warranty
Sweet yacht!! I hope there is warranty
They are sweet 🙃

They are sweet local boats. Marine Max bought them not long ago. 😊
Come on Justin that's not a bowl sink, looks nice though.
Haha. Hard to give Intrepid negative points.
