I like that you are listening to live versions along with studio versions. It would be really awesome to see you react to more live versions when you get to the 2000's stuff (Rock in Rio, Dance of Death, Flight 666 to name a few), but also listen to the studio versions. There's so many intricacies you pick up on the live recordings, and the solos are performed slightly differently. Amazing to hear both sides of it!
You're right. It's the same concert as Hallowed Be Thy Name. It was filmed for an intended home video release, but in the end it was decided that the overall visual quality was not good enough, so it got shelved. At least 45 Minutes of the concert footage were then later released in 2004 on the DVD "History of Iron Maiden Part 1: The Early Days". And, as others said: The first track on Killers (The Ides Of March) is just an instrumental intro to the second track (Wrathchild), so they're basically one unit.
Dude. you By Far. just made my month by doing this song. and LIVE Performance... I'm a Huge Maiden fan from 83 on up. I never knew this song existed till 2016... a TRUE HIGHLIGHT...TRUE MAIDEN IN RIPPING FORM ..THANK YOU...Glad you liked..and yes. many more B-Sides... Crossed eyed Mary .Rainbows Gold, and King of Twilight my favorite....THANK YOU AGAIN FRIEND....
It took me a while to warm up to Total Eclipse. I found myself thinking it would look awesome in a live concert with the spotlights and all. But then I actually found this live performance and I was pleasantly surprised by just how much better it is than the studio version. They rocked the hell out of this on stage.
great live version..! I have the vinyll album from 1982 and there is not this song. it was the b-side of the single !"run to the hills" it was added on the CD version years later. UP THE IRONS...!
The first time I discovered this song , I could not help but listening to it for months every single day !!! Such a cool song ! This one deserved to be part of The number of the beast albums
Man I forgot this one!! Had that single back in the day. My dad said I’d get over this music when I grew up. He was very wrong! Shit I’m getting old. 🤘🏿
If I remember correctly, this song was NOT on the original Number of the Beast album. I had the album on cassette tape back in the mid 1980s and didn't hear this song until maybe 2017.
I've never heard this live, a pretty good Maiden song. Back when Bruce was at his peak. Some like this more than Gangland which it almost replaced on NOTB but I like Gangland better. On to Killers album. Start with Ides of March and Wrathchild together. Ides of March is an instrumental that leads into Wrathchild. Keep Rocking Maiden Hurm.
I suggest doing the first two tracks off Killers as one vid! The songs run into each other and the first song is a short instrumental.

On you tube there is the entire concert at Hammersmith in 1982.
go and enjoy it..! one of their best..!
Yes dude! I thought you were gonna skip it!
Iron Maiden ❤️
A Clive classic
I love Nicko, but Clive Burr had special talent. Too bad he couldn't get it sorted out.
Steve Harris(the bassist)always said he regretted not having this on the album over Invaders
This sounds more like it should be on "Powerslave."
