Prince did not know that he was going to die nor was he the blame for what happened. After he passed, the doctor even said that he died from chronic pain. He was a devout Jehovah's witness and he NEVER sold his soul for money nor fame. Him and Vanity are both together with God now.
Ok so A. Prince wasn’t a child star he was 18 when he got signed which made him sign the youngest producer contract in Warner brothers history. He was 20 when he released his first album and they pushed back his age to make him look more Marketable. B. Prince has been on pain medication probably most of career, not as an addict obviously. Because when you have someone who performs like an athlete on stage but also in heels, injuries and pain are bound to happen. And as you get older you don’t heal as quickly as you did when you were younger so Ofcourse the pain gets worse and worse. And if he was an addict….. so what, he was still releasing an album every year and still going on tour. Still a hardworking professional who was unfortunately surrounded by a lot of yes men like most celebrities. RIP to the Purple Genius💜
I agree. Depending on meds doesn't make someone with severe chronic pain automatic _addicts_ ! The stories I've read from people with horrific pain and can no longer get an opioid from Doctors to save their lives...literally, is sick. They have to go "other" places and one does happen to be ending it all. It has just been so sad, throwing the baby out with the bathwater type deal. No looking at each patient and determining their dire requirements to live or their addict "need". So sad and judgmental. It sounds like a narrative push to me. Delve into what Studio's do to people like Prince who stop working for them. Short version on that surprise witness or bj investigates. Same very smart woman. It was her more about Diddy latest one.
He got on it early. He started taking pills because he had an extreme case of stage fright. His first show he didn't face the audience. It was bad. So they gave him something and unfortunately it worked to well. He's been hooked ever since.
@lysirishfleur3030 I got addicted to opiates. They just fit me perfectly. I got so much energy from them. People think they make you sleepy or tired, not for everyone. I'm sure it was the same for prince
@@Efrenlm10Prince had an accident fall from the bathtubs hanging up in the air during a rehearsal purple rain tour and was medicated the whole tour. He hurt his back. His brother said he was addicted to cocaine in the 80s. Mid 90s addicted to opioids according to Mayte and Dr Fink (very reliable guy) He had a terrible diet and not a lot of sleep. Add the hip pains joints etc. He abused his body. Poor boy, he was blessed with so many talents and made the world a better place with his art. So you aren’t addicted anymore? I heard what you just said. Some people get energetic and not crazy high as with cocaine so maybe that’s why he kept touring and acting like a normal person
He was a man worthy of admiration. I know of no greater compliment. He was a musician in the most whole and pure sense of the word. "When Doves Cry", among the very best songs ever written. I am a fan. I can't imagine how anyone would be anything else.
Prince has always committed to not taking any drugs. Yes ...im sure he did, as they all do. Most due to chronic pain. To exploit his private life is disgusting
No, Not just based on just physical pain. People who become immersed in self medicating have other reasons too. He doesn't need you to minimize for him, and neither do we
i'd heard prince's music long before i ever heard him speak. after hearing him in an interview, i felt like i could've listened to him speak for hours! the way he thought, saw life and music and just the deepness of his mind was very impressive to me and i liked it! he did things HIS way.....against any and all odds at times, but his way all the same and that's what made him special. was sorry he left us too soon.
hes definitely rock the dude would record songs with styles that were not popular at the time because he cared more about liberty and subject matter on a album. the key is never become a sellout or else youll become artificial

Unfortunately we are not immortal and people pass away and sometimes tragically but their music will last forever Thank you Prince for all the amazing music you created as well as Eddie Van Halen.
Comparing to Eddie to prince is ridiculous. Eddie was a guitar virtuoso and was good at keys but the buck stops there. Prince was on an entirely different level of musicianship on a perfunctory level and in regard to composition.. top that off with his skill in the studio as a producer, arranger, and engineer… there’s just comparison.
I feel for him. Watching my husband struggle every day just exist with his broken spine, makes it very clear to me how easily anyone can wind up like him. So sad. An irreplaceable legend.
Prince was a supertalent who knew no limits to self expression. He always had a spiritual war going on with his heart . That is why he would go from one extreme to another in his songs and albums. He found Soul music to be too limiting as it relies on heavy beats and he had the need to project his guitar and sometimes vocals and other instruments he mastered. His sheer versatility brought him in conflict with Michael Jackson. Michael was a supertalent who sang and danced his way to fame. There was a musical feud going on with Prince and Michael with the question who was going to own Pop music. They maintained a secret friendship and the feud helped garner many fans into the auditoriums and record shops. They truly loved each other with Michael naming a son Prince making Prince a Godfather of the child. Both died untimely deaths and mysteriously about the same age. Both had concerns about their real souls. In their lives are many interesting parallels. They both brought Pop to be the most profitable form of music with a high form of excellence. No one could entertain like these two. They are both legends and in the grand scheme of things are irreplaceable. R.I.P. Prince and Michael for there are those who hope you have found Jesus and are safely in His Hands. God bless all Christians everywhere ! A friend always ! Let love reign !
I’ve always wondered if the quality of the music Prince produced would not have been better if he hadn’t been so focused on crossing over. He was not free, nor was Michael or any other black artist.
He was unfortunately “taken” too soon just as Whitney, Michael & many others! The industry is evil and it’s sad. Much love to all of the incredible talents that we were all blessed to experience!! Rest, for your work here is done, but never forgotten ❤️

I don’t exactly agree with the psychologist when he says Prince was a narcissist. I think that Prince’s drive and perfectionism came from a deeply insecure place. He could never be good enough, so he drove himself on. That insecurity came from his upbringing. The rejection by both his father and mother had a profound effect on him and though it gave us the pop star it crueled the person.
Narcissists don't care about others. Narcissists don't anonymously give to charities. Prince was not a narcissist. Not even close. Shame on anyone who throws this label around without actually learning anything about him.
@@goldsteinist No, he was not a narcissist but he was a control freak. Especially when it came to his relationships with women. That harkens back to his childhood and his deep seated insecurities.
How dare anyone call him an addict ! If I had this much talent in a world of mediocrity I would have never lasted here for 58 years!!! Prince was an angel not an addict.
When you become physically or mentally dependent on something to be normal, you are an addict. Doesn’t matter who you are. It can hit a penthouse or an outhouse.
He was a musical legend and a genius and that should be the focus. We are not here to play Angels & Demons. We shouldn’t judge others because we ourselves are not perfect. People judged Michael Jackson too. Their achievements in their field of music is unreachable.
Prince was in significant physical pain which is why he was on the opiate. The trite criticism about his use of the drug and his artistry was totally uncalled for.
So Sad he Was Such a Great entertainer ICON AND SO ON.he was so young and so HANDSUM I MISSED HIM UNCONDITIONALLY HE WILL ALWAYS LIVE IN OUR HEARTS👑❤RIP PRINCE🕯🔥🎸‼️

The title is provocative. Nothing new,if you lived throughthe Prince era. Amazing talent, destined fo the stardom he achieve, to show it's possible with love and passion for the music, clean living and hard work.
He died trying to get clean, that's the saddest part. He was a genius, his life is a great loss to the world. He helped other artists, he stood up for artists against the record companies who took rights and royalties away from them. He took fake pain pills something we know is very common now. These Pills were laced with fentynal to my understanding. Whoever gave him those fake pills should be in jail!!! His phones and computers should have been checked throughly by the police. This is such a shame!!!.
What do you mean, whoever gave him those should go to jail? Prince took fentanyl on purpose. Blow smoke up the collective skirt on somebody else's time! *This fan will catch you right in the act, trying to bullshit minimize for him.
If decent, normal Opiates were available, that Fentanyl shit wouldn't be causing so much devastation. The War on Drugs is doing more harm than good; the problem needs to be tackled differently.

So did my old mother. She did not start doing drugs. Prince was a great musician, but that doesn't make him more than human. He was an addict. He died an addict.
Just because he had a hip replacement doesn't give him an excuse to keep using the painkillers that were prescribed to him after he was out of the acute pain from the surgery. The whole point of surgery is to actually fix the root problem of that person's chronic pain so they can stop taking painkillers everyday for an ongoing basis.
He was a Black American who had pride about his work. She said Prince loved McDonald’s really? When I hear this woman talk like that. Does she know how Prince and his other fellow musicians couldn’t even play in local clubs in the 70s. It’s impearative to not rule out the racism he faced in MINNESOTA. In the end how happy were certain people there that this BLACK MAN became so successful. He still lived there although he could’ve botched AMERICA for showing ingrate towards him and what he achieved for Minneapolis. People were coming there based on the success of PURPLE RAIN
@@cinnamon962 Victimhood 🤣 America the great. It's a wonder how such great Artists were produced in that country. Prince was adored in Europe. America in my opinion didn't deserve him or Michael Jackson.
How dare anyone compare MJ to Springsteen or Madonna, they were not anywhere near MJ's talent or fame, nobody was. They're stars but there was only one megastar but Prince is a true artist
Recall that Prince had a hip replacement as did Tom Petty. I believe that men aren't able to handle intense pain as well as women. We have a cycle and of course labor and delivery so we know what pain is but men, not so much. I've had a hip replacement and know how painful it can be but I could deal with it. 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
He was suppose to have hip surgery on both sides but he couldn't handle another one. He was a true prince. He had a voice that spoke to our souls in many ways. He was a faithful to his music. He was real.
I’m currently recovering with a hip replacement . I’ve been on an opioid and I’m not an addict . Not everyone who takes an opioid for REAL pain is an addict .
Don't hurt yourself by stretching to pat yourself on the back. Sheesh what a terrible comment. Basically calling him weak. Followed it up with a bunch of 💜s at the end. Smdh. Charlatan.
He is not an opioid victim and he was not an addict..he was in a lot of pain due to surgeries and had chronic pain for pushing his body to the limit…yall need to chill with this bs Edit: I don’t know his personal struggles but I do hate that he is being used to push anti opioid propaganda and using him as a poster child for it is what I don’t like
He was an addict, but unfortunately unknowingly one. His pain pills were counterfeit and laced with fentanyl. He didn't know they were. He overdosed a month before, but fortunately got help. He did not get the help he needed in the end. Brilliant musician, one of a kind.
The reason he didn't stay overnight at the hospital after the plane incident, was because he was shot up with narcan. Narcan takes all the opiods out of your body almost immediately. So he would have started withdrawaling. And he sure as hell wasn't gonna go trough that. I had to do that unfortunately, and it was the worst experience of my life.
I agree I don’t think he was a narcissist. He did plenty of things behind-the-scenes to help people without any recognition. He definitely was not a narcissist or perfectionist does not always make a narcissist.
My understanding is that he was in chronic pain due to the fact the he was always jumping off high platforms and doing the splits. Also he wore women's high platform shoes to compensate for his his height, I think he was like 5'4". It must of put tremendous pressure on his feet and ankles. This led to his opiod addiction in order to stop the chronic pain. He surrounded himself with sycophants and "yes men" who would just obey his every whim. He lived in a weird delusional bubble reality, kind of like Elvis. He was an amazing, and prolific musician; Eric Clapton thinks he's the greatestest guitarist whoever lived. But he really was kind of a flaky guy who had all kinds of weird beliefs. For starters he was a Jehovah's witness; no further explanation needed there. He had a definite histrionic personality, like an adolescent who is in constant emotional turmoil. I never related to his music, it was mostly about f**king and being a player. Its rumoured that he slept with over ten thousand women. Well I guess he had fun and made his mark.

@@renewashington791 “someone” can choose to live their lives that way but why assume Prince did? The event door to door as a Jehovah’s Witness not thinking his fame put him above that. I remember seeing a pictures of his well worn Bible among his belongings when he died. Only God knows who is really His own. The assumption that rich and famous people must have sold their souls or lost them is wrong. God also blessed his own with wealth and fame.
You have to consider his legacy in music in many genres and it can never be matched ever again. Even if there was an artist who could match Prince and everything he could do lyrically and instrumental, you have to consider today musicians have computers and software to do everything for them. He actually came to be by learning the hard way and putting in the work.
First of all Prince was taking Opioids for chronic hip pain which he had from years and years of jumping off of pianos and hi-risers in 6 inch heels. So don't put more into it than that. Prince didn't care about the wear and tear on his body. He was going to wear heels and jump off of hi risers even if cost him his life which eventually it did.
Ok why is that sad!! Prince died doing the thing that he loved the most. He broke his big toe once jumping off of pianos he still said and I'm still going to jump off of pianos. For example like race car drivers they know it's dangerous but they still race cars knowing the risk they are taking. Would you rather he lived his life bored and unhappy not doing what he loved to do. that would have been sad.
LOL! Prince has NEVER looked white, NOR did he pretend to be! Its ok to celebrate each other for who we are. He was proud of his ethnicity, and never tried to hide it. He was EXTREMELY talented and knew his roots, and embraced human kind.
This was a month ago?! ✌Child star ✌ to opioid victim?! What?🤬 The title alone have you any shame? And then say "now we know the truth"? Naw! I cant watch the rest. He was a giant and I know one thing about Prince...he knew more about his meanings to his art than this could ever touch. He was so much larger than this ever touches. Damn you! ~Prince
Stop making excuses for a drug addicted celebrity. He died of a drug overdose period. Someone has said he died from chronic pain which is laughable. A person doesn’t die from chronic pain, but can die from drugs that manage pain, which is what happened here
Physiotherapy and chiropractic are great help in a lot of cases. I personally believe that in this case he was addicted and it also helped him maintain a very slim body. Opiates tend to take away hunger pains. Fentanyl is no joke. We have come to believe that pain is something we have to constantly medicate but the side effects and addiction associated with some medications are just not worth it.

Prince did not know that he was going to die nor was he the blame for what happened. After he passed, the doctor even said that he died from chronic pain. He was a devout Jehovah's witness and he NEVER sold his soul for money nor fame. Him and Vanity are both together with God now.
His music is the backdrop to a generation! such great memories dancing to his music there will never be another prince
Prince was gifted!! God gave Prince a true gift and he was thankfully a man of God in the end!!
💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
he was beautiful
Prince was a genius, his music is full of rhytm and soul .
Beatiful artist truly a Prince! Rest in Peace.
Opiates medicine for most
A high for others.
Most people who have an rx for a pain killers are NOT addicts. THEY ARE PATIENTS IN PAIN.
Mid 90s addicted to opioids according to Mayte and Dr Fink (very reliable guy)
He had a terrible diet and not a lot of sleep.
Iconic epic one of a kind and truly will be missed, he was uniquely gifted and different
Rest in peace Prince, you pushed yourself to extreme limits for the world to be entertained by your genius. Nobody has the right to judge Prince.
Prince has always committed to not taking any drugs.
Yes ...im sure he did, as they all do. Most due to chronic pain.
To exploit his private life is disgusting
No, Not just based on just physical pain. People who become immersed in self medicating have other reasons too.
He doesn't need you to minimize for him, and neither do we
Get fkd. He didn’t do a real days work in his life
i'd heard prince's music long before i ever heard him speak. after hearing him in an interview, i felt like i could've listened to him speak for hours! the way he thought, saw life and music and just the deepness of his mind was very impressive to me and i liked it! he did things HIS way.....against any and all odds at times, but his way all the same and that's what made him special. was sorry he left us too soon.
BEST SUPER BOWL EVER!!💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

What a Craftsman. Fly High Angel Prince. Thank you for the music.
Can you imagine that he would have been 66 this year?
I can imagine that yes. I can imagine him still looking only 30 too.
I can, yes. I can also imagine him still looking only 30ish too.
Yes. A very good looking 66.
I admire this guy straight forwardness, Prince, remember him while in chicago concert, years ago
Thankful I was in this world at the same time as Prince. 💜
hes definitely rock the dude would record songs with styles that were not popular at the time because he cared more about liberty and subject matter on a album. the key is never become a sellout or else youll become artificial
My husband liked what Prince told Dick Clark in an interview. When Clark asked Prince how many instruments he played he nonchalantly said Oh about a thousand.😂
Seems he had everything except someone to look out for him. R.I.P. legend 🙏
Prince was a part of our life's timeline , through different parts of his Genius work. 💜
Thx Prince ❤

THANK YOU. For saying His middle name correctly. YOU, ARE REAL.

I sure do miss him.
I will never forget him. A genius we lost to soon, and still don't Know how He die...I love him forever.💔
I think Prince and Eddie Van Halen where the two most all-around best musicians that we were very lucky to have as others have already said their music will stand the test of time like Mozart etc etc and that's solo that Prince did on my guitar gently weeps there's no way to describe it other than phenomenal!!!
RIP Prince . We will never have another musical genius like him ! Quit saying ugly untrue things about him .
What untrue things?
Wheww! When he threw that guitar at the end! WOW! Iconic!
Happy born day Beautiful One
He was unfortunately “taken” too soon just as Whitney, Michael & many others! The industry is evil and it’s sad. Much love to all of the incredible talents that we were all blessed to experience!! Rest, for your work here is done, but never forgotten ❤️
Prince took himself out did he? Get out of LA LA land already
And Elvis too he died from drugs too

Prince was a prodigy and a musical genuis. He was the Mozart of modern times.
Marvin Hamlish was the Mozart of our times. Props to Prince though.

We will remember him forever young.💜💜💜💜
Prince, one of the kind ❤
A majestic mystery gifted he was his music every note and he gave us his all!! Very Sensitive and Sensual 🌪️❤️🔥💙
You don't think Prince was a narcissist 😂 of course he was and he'd say so himself
Narcissists don't care about others. Narcissists don't anonymously give to charities. Prince was not a narcissist. Not even close. Shame on anyone who throws this label around without actually learning anything about him.
Well, maybe he wasn't a narcissist as uou say but truly groomed his wife from a young age. That move was bad he was way older than her.
@@goldsteinist No, he was not a narcissist but he was a control freak. Especially when it came to his relationships with women. That harkens back to his childhood and his deep seated insecurities.
@@dondamon4669 Please read what I wrote before you reply.
the Pain never subsides
How dare anyone call him an addict ! If I had this much talent in a world of mediocrity I would have never lasted here for 58 years!!! Prince was an angel not an addict.
When you become physically or mentally dependent on something to be normal, you are an addict. Doesn’t matter who you are. It can hit a penthouse or an outhouse.
He was a musical legend and a genius and that should be the focus. We are not here to play Angels & Demons. We shouldn’t judge others because we ourselves are not perfect. People judged Michael Jackson too. Their achievements in their field of music is unreachable.
❤ ohhhhhhhhhhhhh Paisley Park

Prince was in significant physical pain which is why he was on the opiate. The trite criticism about his use of the drug and his artistry was totally uncalled for.

years have passed.. still this is heartbreaking. RIP Prince we miss you.
There will never be another
The title is provocative. Nothing new,if you lived throughthe Prince era. Amazing talent, destined fo the stardom he achieve, to show it's possible with love and passion for the music, clean living and hard work.
There was never and would never be an artist like Prince, this is what you called a Musician.
He is the Real king of pop.
That was the saddest thing. He died trying to get help.
He was also as like Michael, was trying to expose the music industry!
Yeah and.....
Prince is a Very Talented,NeuroDivergent,Musician, but People Forget, whether Realised or not,That He came from an Emotional place of Trauma, from His Childhoods,Parents, situation, that Affected Him Deeply!Even though Prince, has allways been Prolific,in the abundance of output of creative music!Even the Most Driven people can be OverWhelmed,by Issues, and Either Deal with it,or Try to Escape from, what They Identify,in their Outlook,of Issues from the past!Take care,Fans!😊❤
Prince had pain. I hope medical technology advances to manage pain better making the opioids obsolete for pain management.
Prince had a hip replacement. Why do people overllook this?
Why do you get your panties in a bunch? It is what it is
So did my old mother.
She did not start doing drugs.
Prince was a great musician, but that doesn't make him more than human. He was an addict. He died an addict.
1 What do you think we are overlooking exactly?
2 Do you feel our tremendous friend and artist need you to do heavy lifting for him in his absence?
@@oneshothunter9877 Smears lack truth.
Everything is about race. TO A RACIST.

MJ was very over rated compared to Madonna
😂
As a man I totally agree, I've always thought that...women definitely tolerate pain moreso than men....
Don't hurt yourself by stretching to pat yourself on the back. Sheesh what a terrible comment. Basically calling him weak. Followed it up with a bunch of 💜s at the end. Smdh. Charlatan.
Pain wasn't the reason he did drugs. Same for Petty. They liked doing drugs like half this country. That doesn't Make them a bad person.
This was a beautiful Documentary ❤
May U live 2c the dawn
He is not an opioid victim and he was not an addict..he was in a lot of pain due to surgeries and had chronic pain for pushing his body to the limit…yall need to chill with this bs
Edit: I don’t know his personal struggles but I do hate that he is being used to push anti opioid propaganda and using him as a poster child for it is what I don’t like
His own wife admitted that he was addicted to opiods since the 90s. He almost died several times.
Fine. But when you're in pain, for whatever reason, and you abuse the drugs given to you for pain, your ass is an addict
Literally, none of us know what happened to him or if he was or wasn't an addict. He was extremely private so, again... NOBODY knows
You tell em!!!!!!!!!!!!❤
He was an addict but that's nothing to be ashamed of. Addiction needs to be destigmatized. He needed help, not shame.
Bullshtt. Who do you think you're kidding?
When you’re addicted to drugs you’re not unaware… and if his pill were laced that means he was getting them illegally.
Prince was in a lot of pain R I P
We're all in a lot of pain
I agree I don’t think he was a narcissist. He did plenty of things behind-the-scenes to help people without any recognition. He definitely was not a narcissist or perfectionist does not always make a narcissist.
I loved this!! Thank you so much xo 🙂
Banned this vide prince was and always will be pure
I believe Prince death was a Hit.

You have to consider his legacy in music in many genres and it can never be matched ever again. Even if there was an artist who could match Prince and everything he could do lyrically and instrumental, you have to consider today musicians have computers and software to do everything for them. He actually came to be by learning the hard way and putting in the work.
23:47. FYI Dear. No one was mistaken about Prince's Biology.
That man was captivating.
Sad
Ok why is that sad!! Prince died doing the thing that he loved the most. He broke his big toe once jumping off of pianos he still said and I'm still going to jump off of pianos. For example like race car drivers they know it's dangerous but they still race cars knowing the risk they are taking. Would you rather he lived his life bored and unhappy not doing what he loved to do. that would have been sad.

Stop making excuses for a drug addicted celebrity. He died of a drug overdose period. Someone has said he died from chronic pain which is laughable. A person doesn’t die from chronic pain, but can die from drugs that manage pain, which is what happened here
Chronic pain is no joke. Why cant they develop pain killers without side effects in this day and age
Because it's a very strong medication. To relief chronic pain there is no easy option
