I like your honest opinion, good, bad and the ugly! Please do not sugar coat. We watch your vlogs for the truth about your experiences. If I don’t particularly agree then so what we agree to disagree, but never hold it against you for your opinion.. people need to chill on the negative comments 😒
Was awesome to meet you on the Getaway, you asked why we chose NCL , and I said price, it is much more than that . We have been on MSC and Royal and I pretty much agree with all you said . The food to me as a chef was not good , was the first cruise I looked forward to getting out so we could look for food . Aside from that we enjoyed , they had awesome coffee and pizza but also very well organized on the excursions front . This is where my wife and I feel RC is not good their excursions always seem very unorganized, not sure if it is the tour companies they use or what . Food on RC we enjoy especially the specialty dining. NCL I feel is very well balanced between food , excursions, shows etc. however I was disappointed in Belize where they charged for everything if it’s a private island they should have lunch at least on the island at no cost like RC . Again was a pleasure to meet yall and as we say in Hawaii a hui hou , until we meet again
Went on Disney and celebrity this year. Celebrity was stretching for things to do. We never run out of things to do on a Disney ship. And you can't beat rotational dining.
I am 5 1/2 weeks out from breaking a toe myself. Mine was not as bad as yours, thankfully. I put it back in place, and as I was done with what I was doing I looked to see what supplies I had on hand. I had a walking boot and then ordered the rest the items needed. I was able to take care of it all on my own.
After 87 cruises Royal Caribbean is the best cruise line for us. We have cruised Royal Caribbean, Celebrity, MSC, Carnival, Princess, Disney, NCL. NCL is at the rock bottom of the list, never again. But ship to ship also makes a big difference. Old ships vs new ships are bad comparison for some who do that.
Y’all need to sail on Islander! It’s wonderful! Here’s a review I made just after my MAS Islander cruise in September-October. Please keep in mind, we missed a day and port due to Helene. “Okay Peeps, here it is… My review in a nutshell. “I LOVE MAS ISLANDER!” The crew, the food, the decor, the music, the entertainment, the drinks, the vibe… all wonderful. Although I’ve sailed other cruise lines and remain ‘Loyal to Royal’ (mostly), I can now say I love cruising a Jimmy Buffet lifestyle. “When the world gives you limes (or hurricanes), make a margarita!” Only 92 days ‘til my next lost shaker of salt adventure. Fins up, y’all!” I believe Margaritaville has stepped up their game. I went in with an open mind and was wonderfully surprised! So much so, I have two more cruise’s scheduled on her. Please give their new ship a try. Let me know what you think! Oh yeah, the Cheeseburger In Paradise and JWB Steakhouse are not to be missed!
Classmate!!!! Get well bro. I'm going on my first Royal Caribbean cruise in December on the Symphony of the Seas, and I can't wait to see how it compares to Carnival and Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL). I've been on several Carnival cruises and a couple with NCL. Next year, I want to explore Alaska, but I'm unsure which cruise line to choose. I looking to get 4 cruises in next year have Jubilee booked for April.
Hey Griff. Oh no. Sounds like a bad break. Speedy recovery. Will you recover in time to continue training for the run? Charging for umbrellas 🏖️suck and gotta transport it and set it up yourself too. We were in the Aurea stateroom and dining room on the Seascape and the food was hot, seasoned and tasty. Have heard many say Aurea , speciality dining and yacht club food is better on MSC. Haven’t been on Norwegian since the Gem in 2017 but it was a great experience. 11 Carnivals and never a negative experience 🤷🏻♀️. Believe it depends on the company kept. Agree. Disregard Viking til you sail it next year. Everyone can only rate on their individual experiences so all shall differ. Thanks for your insight.
I really think you should try out the Islander! I hear its sooo much better than the Paradise and hopefully it will be a start to a much better cruise line, they are still new to the industry!
After sailing on Celebrity Reflection and comparing to MSC seashore, MSC is better in all aspects except shows. It even had better food. Was that your only MSC experience? And yes I saw the video, It did give a lot of negative vibes. I also Just got off of RC Allure of the seas. Nice ship but I feel it was at the same level as MSC. Idk, that was just my experience. Thanks for sharing
Feel better soon. I have to disagree with you about carnival. They deserve an A in my opinion. Hated everything about Virgin. It was boring, food was not the best and the customer service was horrible on my sailing. MSC was great to us. You are correct about the food and specialty restaurants. We love Norwegian and Royal as well. Disney is too expensive for our pockets. I cannot eat 10,000 dollars worth of food in seven days for a family of five.
We have 6 kids so carnival is the best deal for us, and they've given us free cruises. We have only sailed on Royal (independence and liberty) and carnival Jubilee. I'd like to take a cruise with my husband only and want to know what the best luxury (cruise within a cruise) experience is. I'd love for u to compare that. Thanks!
Royal does not have a "ship within a ship" concept. Of those you are ranking, only NCL and MSC have it. With this concept, you don't need to leave the suite area to do anything except get on/off the ship. Royal is similar to what Princess is trying on the Sphere class ships.
Disagree my friend 🤔 MSC - has yacht club with exclusive restaurant, lounge and area for yacht club cruisers Celebrity - has exclusive restaurant (luminae), lounge and area for retreat guests NCL - has haven with exclusive area for haven members Royal has - exclusive restaurant (coastal kitchen) , lounge , and suite sun deck for suite holders All ship within a ship concepts … all 4 lines you do not have to leave that area to enjoy the cruise besides get on / get off. Wonder, Utopia & Icon do it very well last I checked.
Dirty rooms a fail for sure. No excuses. Complain. It lets us know what to avoid. You also compliment when things are good. You report your experience. Thanks.
Don’t forget too, that carnival has the biggest number of ships. Meaning more people more problems. I happen to like Carnival but I wish they would get back to pre Covid level of quality. We are paying more now for a cruise, and getting less. Gratuities go up, and they take more away. That part sucks… I was loyal to carnival but have started looking into other cruise lines for our vacations. We will be on the MSC SEASHORE in January. We booked after watching several UA-camrs saying they are stepping up their game.
Well that’s not true. Royal has 28 ships and Carnival has 26. Royal also carries more people on their ships. Carnival ships are small compared to Royal
I think your list is identical to how I would rate them. You can't fault Celebrity for not having their own private island since Celebrity 'is' Royal Caribbean. Why would RC spend millions more for another island? Celebrity still my number 1. How would you rate Holland America?
Wow, we just came off the Mardi Gras, and your comments were 'exactly' how we felt. Great ship, amenities, some really outstanding things...but...we did not feel 'safe'. There was a sort of 'rowdiness' and 'roaming' teens that didn't seem to have anything to do [sitting on the stairways etc]. Carnival has a problem. Not just the kids either but. We didn't always feel safe.
Carnival, budget friendly . That’s why I only sail on the Mardi Gras. Carnival lower class ships doesn’t have the attention to detail. Last sail on carnival in 2025 then switching over to RC.
Our last experience with NCL was horrible. We sailed aboard Norwegian Dawn June 2024 on a 10 night European cruise. The food was mediocre at best (even in the specialty dining) and getting good service in the dining areas was a struggle. The entertainment was also lacking. Another issue we experienced: lack of transport or assistance in getting transportation when they moor far from towns and points of interest. When there is no public transportation and the line doesn't offer transportation, passengers at least need to know the most economical way to reach the destination. I have had mostly good service with Carnival and feel that you are a little too harsh with them. Yes, your Mardi Gras boarding experience was not good. Our Princess boarding process took over two hours in Vancouver last year. It was very disorganized & our worst embark ever. There have been a few isolated fights on CCL, but security has gotten better. I think lower pricing & short booze cruises have a lot to do with their issues. They do, however, normally provide a lot of sea day activities and they are the absolute best at recognizing our veterans & service members. I don't consider them a superior line, but they are good at what they do. We've had mostly good experiences with Princess. Service on Disney was top notch, but they're overpriced. After our experience on MAS Paradise, I'm not sure that I can get my spouse to give Islander a try. Please ask Alyssa to create a video of her critiques. Thanks Griff! I appreciate your content.
23 cruises here, Disney too high, Celebrity too low, I give Virgin higher marks because they caused other Cruise lines to change for the better. Royal Caribbean is either a love it or hate it Cruise line.
You shouldn’t have to pay for an umbrella or shade on their island/beach area. It should be common decency to have everything cleaned, and I understand some things things may be overlooked/fall of the cracks due to having to clean so many cabins in a short amount of time. I also believe all ships the basic level of food should be good but if the food is not great, it’s a them problem and if you go to a specialty restaurant, it should be excellent. I know when I was on the harmony of the seas, the fresh fruit started getting a little slim pickings at times. I would like to see Alyssa do a review and see what her review would be like without showing her yours and your reasoning. I’ve only been on one cruise ship Royal Caribbean Harmony of the seas for my 27th anniversary. I also think it would be important to do a video on things to be aware of when you’re at ports and important pieces of information for first time cruisers. I believe these should be at least every six months or once a year videos that you bring on ship that are importance things you can’t bring on ship things that have changed over time. I find it interesting how fast things change within six months to a year of what is acceptable and what’s not. I would look forward to a river cruise. I’ve seen one of them on UA-cam and I know it’s a little bit slower. Thank you, Griff for your reveal👏🏼
I don't understand why they would charge for an umbrella when there is absolutely no shade there. MSC you need to roll it into the cost!!!! You have to consider people who take medication where they can't have too much sun exposure. Some people have cancer and other diseases. Dont nickel and dime the passengers!!😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮
You could say Disney is innovative and taking risks with RCC and Carnival copied most of their ideas nonstop. DCL is just too niche then mass appeal lines copy them with slight improvements that people think they came up with.
@Laurie911 Yeah, RCL was long before but more adult oriented until mid 2000s. Disney built their foundation on what they did with Premier partnership before building their own ships. Disney did the Broadway stuff, private island destination, dedicated kids/teen clubs and more before RCL or Carnival.
Bless me father for I haven't been to church in over 40 yrs-hey, born wth a conscience-I don't need god to be good. Been communist for all my adult life and getting more so everyday. Lived in China for 5 yrs. Made 2 trips there.
We will be trying out cruising for the first time in 40 years for me and 20 for my husband. Cruising out of Mobile on Carnival Spirit. Mega-ships scare me. Way too many people. We will see how it goes. I do believe that the clientele on a variety of Cruise lines may differ depending on the home port and number of days of the voyage. So calling a cruise line by names like "ghetto" or "old and boring" is an unfair generalization. Cruise lines and ships need to be compared apples to apples. Maybe someday someone can rate cruise lines going on the same itinerary out of the same port, and do the same for each port.
Love your energy Anette! I've never had crack cocaine before...but I hear it destroys lives. But again, I'd hate to judge on things I've only seen and heard about an experience ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Not sure why that is a question? We attend church every Sunday we are home and I am a worship leader that was on the schedule to sing this week... Hope that helps 👍
Hope your foot heals quickly enough be Great to see Alyssa list to compare 😜
Take care 🥰
I pray you are better soon. Take care ❤️
Let's see Alyssa list to compare. Wishing you a speedy recovery. 🙏
I like your honest opinion, good, bad and the ugly! Please do not sugar coat. We watch your vlogs for the truth about your experiences. If I don’t particularly agree then so what we agree to disagree, but never hold it against you for your opinion.. people need to chill on the negative comments 😒

Just was back on the Mardi Gras Nov.2nd for the 3rd time and security has vamped up. Saw them everywhere.
Went on Disney and celebrity this year. Celebrity was stretching for things to do. We never run out of things to do on a Disney ship. And you can't beat rotational dining.
I love you guys!! Thanks for including us on your vacations 😊
Love your channel Thank you for being honest!
This was fun, great video!
I am 5 1/2 weeks out from breaking a toe myself. Mine was not as bad as yours, thankfully. I put it back in place, and as I was done with what I was doing I looked to see what supplies I had on hand. Also...on MSC I feel those were observations not complaining
Heal up quick first and foremost!!!! Love your channel! Let’s get Alyssa’s opinion too 😃
Yep, I'd like both opinions please! Maybe a live Thursday night chat? (or a live cooking demo?) Speedy recovery to you!
👍 love this chill vibe you got going on man! Love y’all channel!
Y’all need to sail on Islander! It’s wonderful! Here’s a review I made just after my MAS Islander cruise in September-October. Please keep in mind, we missed a day and port due to Helene.

Move Carnival to a C and this list is spot on! Hope your toes heal up quick!
I agree there are too many fights on Carnival
I would love love love to see you try explora!!!!
Hope you heal up soon man! And your list looks legit; MSC definitely ranks below Carnival right now but Royal still stand above them all
Hope you get better soon. Love watching your videos.
Royal is number 1
Carnival I feel like excel class and the rest of the ships are very different experiences
Solid! 👍🏽
Great information.
Get better soon. Best wishes to your family
Classmate!!!! Get well bro. I'm going on my first Royal Caribbean cruise in December on the Symphony of the Seas, and I can't wait to see how it compares to Carnival and Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL). We were just on the Symphony of the Seas. Great ship. Check out Solarium Bistro as alternative to Windjammer.
Just sailed Carnival for the first time. They also charge for umbrella on Princess Cay.
If I could afford Viking, it would be my first
Keep being real and don't worry about the negative comments! Hope your foot heals up quickly
Are y’all planning on getting on one of the prima class ships? I think we need that video.
Yes. Alyssa too!
I want to know what cruises you’re been on AND Alissa’s favorite 😊
Hey Griff. Oh no. Sounds like a bad break. Speedy recovery. Will you recover in time to continue training for the run? Charging for umbrellas 🏖️suck and gotta transport it and set it up yourself too. I could tolerate a fight over a dirty ship. From a Platinum Carnival cruiser
Griff ❤ Sending Healthy Toe wishes❤
I put MSC at a B only because we did Yacht Club and specialty dining
Holland America if your are doing an Alaska Cruise. Though they may not be your vibe. Also there is Cunard the very upscale.
Has any one gone solo on a cruise? I'm forever alone it seems. But would love to travel. Only been on one cruise, with whole family. Any suggestions?
I really think you should try out the Islander! I hear its sooo much better than the Paradise and hopefully it will be a start to a much better cruise line, they are still new to the industry!
Get better soon. What about Holland America?
Wishing you and speedy recovery
What about HAL
I only do specialty dining on MSC
I’ve heard nothing but good things about Viking Cruises. I’ll have to take a look a Virgin. Good review.
Looking at possibly doing MSC but in Yacht Club. I could not stand a dirty cabin.
We agree charging for umbrellas is stupid.
After sailing on Celebrity Reflection and comparing to MSC seashore, MSC is better in all aspects except shows. It even had better food. Was that your only MSC experience? I’m curious, as a family of 5 where do you typically go? It was 7k last cruise for us on symphony
Can we get a list of the ships you have been on
Oceania for us small ships yeah. River cruising is the best. I hope your foot heals fast.
Thanks!
Dirty room D Food doesn’t make up for an unsanitary room.
I absolutely agree! That’s an automatic FAIL! Sorry not Sorry!
I didn’t see you rank Holland America?
Charging for umbrellas is wrong
Royal does not have a "ship within a ship" concept. Of those you are ranking, only NCL and MSC have it. With this concept, you don't need to leave the suite area to do anything except get on/off the ship. Royal is similar to what Princess is trying on the Sphere class ships.

MSC - has yacht club with exclusive restaurant, lounge and area for yacht club cruisers
Celebrity - has exclusive restaurant (luminae), lounge and area for retreat guests

Royal has - exclusive restaurant (coastal kitchen) , lounge , and suite sun deck for suite holders
All ship within a ship concepts … all 4 lines you do not have to leave that area to enjoy the cruise besides get on / get off.
Wonder, Utopia & Icon do it very well last I checked.
Ouch! Good luck with your foot!
I want to see Alyssa’s and also would love to see your Ship listings as well.
I am not a fan of carnival the customer service has tanked
I would like to see Allysa make her own list
Carnival charges $24.99 at Half Moon Cay for their umbrella rental
Dirty rooms a fail for sure. No excuses. Complain. It lets us know what to avoid. You also compliment when things are good. You report your experience. Thanks.
Don’t forget too, that carnival has the biggest number of ships. Meaning more people more problems. I happen to like Carnival but I wish they would get back to pre Covid level of quality. Let Alyssa do her own view, it might be intresting.
Holland America????
How does a cruise line screw up a burger?

Hope you feel better they should not charge for umbrellas that's sad
Carnival jubilee
Worst cruise experience so far was royal liberty of the seas. Beds are awefulllllllllll
Opinion here: Carnival is the worst. Its not torture, but it just reeks of Cheep Cruise.
🙏🏽
Would love to see her do one without seeing your video, and then yall can compare.
23 cruises here, Disney too high, Celebrity too low, I give Virgin higher marks because they caused other Cruise lines to change for the better. Royal Caribbean is either a love it or hate it Cruise line.
If someone hates Royal they went on an old ship or it’s a personal problem

You could say Disney is innovative and taking risks with RCC and Carnival copied most of their ideas nonstop. DCL is just too niche then mass appeal lines copy them with slight improvements that people think they came up with.
That’s a good take as well I didn’t consider!
That is pretty funny since Disney came way after RC. Most cruise line have copied Royal

Carnival is the ghettoness of the seas 😂 it’s definitely a party ship.
Charging for umbrellas on MSC Ocean Cay, STUPID.
🦶👍
We will be trying out cruising for the first time in 40 years for me and 20 for my husband. Cruising out of Mobile on Carnival Spirit. Mega-ships scare me. Way too many people. We will see how it goes. I do believe that the clientele on a variety of Cruise lines may differ depending on the home port and number of days of the voyage. So calling a cruise line by names like "ghetto" or "old and boring" is an unfair generalization. Cruise lines and ships need to be compared apples to apples. You are absolutely crazy putting Disney on the same level with Carnival! Disney is markedly superior! 🤬🤬🤬
I know life isn’t fair but if you didn’t have any of these incidents happen while you’re on a carnival ship your judging on what you hear. My opinion
Love your energy Anette! I've never had crack cocaine before...but I hear it destroys lives. But again, I'd hate to judge on things I've only seen and heard about an experience ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
@@GriffandAlyssa Yes and I've heard guns kill but never have tried one either!
Thanks for agreeing! Carnival fights, drug busts and weapons getting past security secure its spot as a B.
I lean more to questioning why she is at church rather than why aren't you.
Not sure why that is a question? We attend church every Sunday we are home and I am a worship leader that was on the schedule to sing this week... Hope that helps 👍
Royal is number 1
