Oh boy!! Saw Ted Nugent open for KISS in ‘76 at Anaheim Stadium. Bob Seger was the second act! Uncle Ted zip-lined across the crowd to the stage playing his guitar!! Never saw anything like it! 🎸🎸🎸 LOVE THIS SONG (guitar).🤘🤘
I grew up 5 miles from Ted. Known as the Motorcity Rocker, actually he's a couple hours away in the country on 200 acres. I've seen him live several times, one time he wore only a loin cloth. Also seen him at things around town like July 4th celebration with kids. He's smart, kind, polite and a dedicated father.
He he he! This tune. This is what my girl and I would put on when we went drinking wine, parking way out in the woods, jumping out of our cloths, into the backseat, and.... Whoa. Let's just stop right there. But the GROOVE, listen to the groove. OMG, I have to stop listening now!!! To me, this song was MEANT for one thing, and one thing only, and ....I have to go now for now. Great job with the video!!!!
Thanks for this. I can't count the number of miles that I have logged listening to this song. Outstanding. Saw Uncle Ted twice in the 70's, some straight up rock and roll.
This song Stranglehold was used in the Football movie INVINCIBLE. Based on thru story, .. with slow motion effects real cool with this music! Also check out Ted Nugent Cat Scratch Fever , from live from the Midnight Special tv show ..RAW Performance !!
Uncle Ted is a virtuoso and does it totally sober his entire life. Soooo many jams . . . . Wang Dang Sweet Poontang from double live gonzo is the song of legends.
Great song! I love Derek St Holmes when he sings these Nugent songs. Killer guitar by Ted. Ted has said on many occasions that Chuck Berry was a major influence on his guitar playing.
This song brings back good memories...reminds me of watching WCW. wrestling with my dad, it’s the song the Von Erichs would come in with. I miss those days!
Absolutely 100% the exact correct reaction to this song, Right On! It's one of my forever favs. Hey, what happened to the unicorn poster that was over your left shoulder? That was the inspiration for a painting I'm working on.
Oshawa ,Ontario ,Canada rocks with you brother!! Derek Saint Holmes as a wicked voice, And Ted on guitar Recipe for awesome!! I really think you would love the song "Hey baby" But there so many.
That entire Album is fire. Check out Out of control too. Nugent is among the best rock guitarists of all time even the guitarists admit it privately. They are afraid of being cancelled. I saw him with Ronnie Montrose, Rick Derringer together. Nugent is rock and roll guitar.
Yeah man, there is a big difference between hearing a song and "listening to a song". Which is why us "old rockers" dislike pauses in our music.... They break the FLOW..... Unfortunately, I guess they're an unavoidable evil..... Great reaction Drama........
Ted Nugent one of my all time favorites People that never seen him back in the day thought he sung this. Actually he did very little singing. But what a showman I put his concert in my top 5 Great White Buffalo Wang Dang Sweet Pootang Is to I recommend doing later if you want to react to more of his music Love your reaction to Terrible Ted as I call him. Great Reaction as always Stay Safe ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Fellow Detroit guitar legend Jim McCarty from the band "Mitch Ryder and the Detroit Wheels/and rock band "The Rockets" also played the same guitar! Both legendary guitarist!!
45 years ago I used to go to sleep with this on 8 track and headphones (so mom wasn't yelling at me). You know a song is good when after 8+ minutes, you say "crap it's over already?"
Hey Bro... I'm subscribed because of this TUNE!!! My Pops got me into Metal when I was a kid .. keep them coming Man. Judas Priest, Deep Purple... Jimi! Subscribed Brother. ❤
Never used drugs like the other 99% of rockers back then, always came with it HARD AS F and politics and popularity aside - this song is on the Mount Rushmore of rock period! I suggest you consider Great White Buffalo another fun one but nothing tops Stanglehold
Meat and potatoes rock and roll right there! And yes, every real rock record collection (or equivalent) should contain "Stranglehold"; a treasure in rock history.

Derek St. Holmes is actually the vocalist on this track. But, that's Uncle Teddy on those strings!
He is one of the most underated singers from the 70's
There's a LOT of this in the world of music. Singers, musicians swapping in or out of songs and most fans never know.
That bass though...

Vocal by the curiously named Derek St. Holmes, who sounds suspiciously like a future Spinal Tap vocalist.
The motor city madman at his finest! This is a bad ass jam period!

♥ This song makes me think I can sexy dance!
Thanks to the old blues guys who brought us the sounds to make rock n roll. BB King, Buddy Guy to name a couple.
Buddy is still putting on shows, too! I was lucky and we caught his show in Tulda, OK before old 'rona came around.
