I loved this! A suggestion for the editor: to help us viewer, would be nice have the reference near the cosplay, cause there is so much variety is almost impossible everytime tell who is who! Ofc when is revealed, not instant :)
There is so much fun to be had in this game. In many forms. There is simply fun. I wish the players remembered this, and learned to be patient with the devs, instead of telling abusive shit to them. They are doing a fantastic job given the circumstances the world is in. They made this playground for us. They show us respect as players. I am grateful to them because of it.
I'm sure a lot of the abuse is coming from Japanese NEETs. These comments are being made towards the japanese dev team.

I would add to the previous 2 comments that most of the Western community usually memes while givig negative feedback, and they avoid doing it directed to someone specific (other than Yoshi P just because), or to put it in other way, they do it in a very Ironic way
Example: Yoshi P pls buff DRKs sustain, the other day I was trying to run a dungeon and healers refused to stay, they kept leaving and I lost my arm in the first pull 😔🙏
@@Felinaxo Why would the healer leave when a DRK joins the group, I embrace it since it gives me something to do. Please Yoshi-P nerf the tanks to be at DRK's level or change the healers so i don't break my finger spamming my primary dps spell or AoE button. 🤣

The one at 14:30 is Mythra from Xenoblade Chronicles 2. It was a nice one with a good choice for the weapon but a very niche choice

Hey look. Fun in an mmo. Not forced annoying grinds to lock players into monthly subs to not get behind in the progress of their characters. I dont even play an MMO right now since the queues make it hard to play when I have available time but even I can see that this game has more fun elements to do just for the sake of fun. Cant even imagine it.
Come join us. The queues should be getting better.
Yep, queues are only a few hundred at peak times, so maybe a 30-45 minute wait at worst

I think I personally prefer seeing glam contests of people doing more original stuff or trying harder to make more unique pieces work together, but a fun cosplay contest can be really cool too. It just might suck if everyone is doing a cosplay and you're just there with a cool outfit for your character, or vice versa, when everyone has cool RP outfits and you're just cosplaying an anime character or something
But there were some really great ones here, even if they weren't the most original. The Tracer one I thought was the coolest and one I'd never seen before at all
Randy savage and the borderlands psycho where my favorite. Only cause I was not expecting the psycho. Also liked the star wars pilot. So many good ones.
i guessed .Morphious, bob ross, the mask , Randy Savage, Gandalf and loki streight off but i thought Uhura was Dianna Ross from the 60's 70's, but the rest of them i didnt have a clue who they were

making friends in ffxiv isn't that difficult if you put your foot forward a little :)
I've played through it for several years solo, have only just recently actually gotten a group together in it. Rest assured, you can definitely enjoy it without friends!
Was it just me or did anyone else see Afro Samurai instead for the Bob Ross one?

He was black and had an afro (though it wasn't really the right shape/type?), but the entire rest of the outfit didn't match at all. Afro Samurai had on a a kind of traditional samurai outfit, not a pair of old jeans and a half-open white button down shirt.

He mentions the pills as he's walking away very briefly in a chat bubble.
It absolutely struck me as the Terminator reaching out like he was telling us to give him our clothes. Works way better as a Terminator look than Morpheus, imo.

I'd like a veteran glam collector to watch these with him, and talk about the rarity of these outfits in a similar way to Asmon talking about WoW glam when rating them. Some of these could have been x10 harder to collect than the next outfit, but doesn't get credit. It feels like there were missing steps in the appraisal process.
As far as I can tell, none of the pieces of these outfits are particularly hard to obtain. I think the Gnath chest piece that the Magus guy had was the "hardest" to obtain. Maybe the gun the tracer was using? But that wasn't essential to the glam either. Furthermore, I don't think that rarity should really be valued.
@@HangmanVa agree, this is a glamour competition not a collecting competition - all that really matters is the final outfit and do we like it. Imagine having a full set of mismatched pieces that looked rubbish together but were "very hard to get" winning - would be a joke!
in FFXIV glam contest is about your creativity, not how rare and hard the glamour is.
most of the glamour can be easily collected this with exception of seasonal
Plenty of 1.0 rare items and armor carried over byt finding 1.0 veterans still playing is very hard

I'm gonna be completely honest I'm not a big fan of glamour contests where its just cosplay and not actual glamours, since its usually like oh wow its character from series and not a cool combination of armor plus its just who can be the most recognizable media character. Nevertheless this was nice and I'm glad too see attention on fashion fantasy 14 its always nice to see people having fun.
I hold this opinion if yeah, it's the same cosplay glamours we always see. Link, Mario, Zelda, ect. The usual suspects. I do however, think that cosplay glamour contests are fun in that it can show how creative you can with gear. Anyone can make a cool-looking set. Especially in FF14. It takes a lot of creativity and knowledge though to make something like the Magus cosplay.
That being said, the Link guy could of 100% tried a lot harder. That is the same exact set that's been on Eorzean Collection for years.

There is a hat that wouldve worked with the Mask outfit, sucks they didnt complete it.

@@hoshiataru at the end of video, it was the "Fashion Accessories" which was limited useability Items which spawn cosmetics on you.., i believe on the left side of the video at the end.., youll see the mercy sprout white dove lioe angel wings which arent class specific..,[you can also get diabolos, and fallen angel wings elsewhere in the game.., they work just like the fake glasses accessory-so you can wear it with hats/helms- or the parasols/umbrellas]
as for the SGE[sage] question.., its largely based on the model of weapon..,
some rest on your back like gundam/jetpack attachment.., others are in a diagonal row down your back..,
others are like a square on your back[with the business ends pointing to said squares corners]
and im sure you seen how they idle when in use..,
but yes, WHM Aether wings, SGE AetheroMechanical Weapons that act like wings[unless you gap close, which is hard to get a good look at their shape]
and limited used cosmetics/fashion acessories they all can use..,

Music is a bit too loud, though. I sometimes have a hard tike understanding, like the names from some.
I think there needs to be a distinction from a cosplay contest and a glamour contest. Glam contests are "Original OC plz no steal." And cosplays are self explanatory. Each one has it's own merits. Cosplays are how well do you look like the character, is there any way you could have looked more like the character, etc. Glam contests are how do you make this work, did you use a set or individual pieces, how do the colors match, etc. Each have their own merits, just they are distinct. And I'd be embarrassed if I showed up to one expecting the other. Just my two cents.
I think your definition of a glam contest for preach right now won't be great because he doesn't know much about the in game armor. IMO a glam contest with characters people recognize is perfect for newbies to glam. Plus have you seen the Floor Inspector? His character already looks too good none of us can compete with that u_u.
