I remember just waiting for this theme to show up after the intro sequence on Wii. You can feel the sense of adventure in the song, amazing.

This game taught an entire generation the pain of loss, and the value of people. I think the soundtrack is the biggest contributer, you can get lost anywhere at anytime in this game and be entertained by the soft cries of the music

@@jakereich2080 it does play in the game. When you open the game and the title pops up as Wolf Link is howling at the twilight barrier, wait a little bit after that and a short movie starts playing with this piece as background music
@@TheNameIsGamestar as far as i know none of the orchestra versions were played because of lack of space on the disk, hyrule field sounds so much better for example

The legend of Zelda Music could be art history by itself. Turns out it comes with a full series of games with it.

Look up "Symphony of the Goddesses". It's an orchestra that plays Zelda music. They're based in the US, I think. I can't remember if they played this song, but this orchestral concert is worth experiencing as a Zelda fan!

NOT EVEN JOKING I STARTED BAWLING MY EYES OUT LISTENING TO THIS THIS SONG IS AMAZING AND REALLY CAPTURES THE TWILIGHT PRINCESS VIBE, TWILIGHT PRINCESS WAS MY FIRST EVER ZELDA GAME AND IT WILL FOREVER REMAIN MY FAVORITE
I'm glad I'm not the only one crying to this :) It encapsulates the entire game so well. The entire franchise really. A boy thrust into an adventure he'd never realised even existed, never mind one he is the main character in, capturing the transient and ephemeral nature of youth. He's thrown into a world he isn't ready for and must struggle in, an adventure he never wanted. Armed with nothing but blind optimism as his shield and courage as his sword. Coming to terms with that adventure, that incredible sense of duty to save the world and protect the people close to him, safe in the knowledge that his ancestors before succeeded, yet burdened with that same knowledge that there is no choice but to succeed. He falls in love with the process. He finds solace, in the fact that he must succeed, circularly, because he must succeed. Growing up, sooner than he could've imagined, yet still finding joys and thrills, embarking on his adventure towards adulthood and maturity. This boy finds his friends and fears for his life but at the end of the day that is what gets him through it - he finds peace amongst the chaos.
For me, the Legend of Zelda franchise is about the human experience of growing up. I think this song manages to capture the entire Zelda ethos perfectly within a two minute timeframe, and still be underrated doing it. That's impressive.

I loved turning on my game to finish the opening sequence then get to this. Always made me feel like there was so much to do in this game, and so much I had yet to see
This gets you so excited to play the game every time. I’d always sit through the intro to hear this masterpiece play

When I saw this trailer as a kid, it was beyond exhilarating. So much wonder and excitement!
I remember just waiting on the title screen of this game on my GameCube to show my friends and family what I thought was the most important, and most beautiful cinematic and orchestrated piece of art that ever existed.

There’s something so refreshing about this. Idk what it is, but as a kid I was freaked out by the shadow beasts and Zant, and now a days I’m just In love with the lore and creatures of this world. This OST kinda represents me once being scared of this game to then conquering it. Twilight Princess was truly a magical experience

It hits different, I first played this on the wii, I was 11, it was a christmas gift, the fight with the fallen knight, taking the time to find the golden wolf for it, all the temples. My first time in the sky, and the last. Fighting Zant, running from the hands of twilight, the first time at hyrule castle, the bridge puzzle. . .I miss all of this
This song makes me feel like Salieri in the movie Amadeus describing the oboe note. And then, a single note hanging, high above it all 😂

I'm a new zelda fan I only own the nintendo switch and I am waiting for this game to be ported , but I already know it's going to be my favorite Zelda game
The game is really good, but it's kind of lacking in terms of new stuff, it's basically ocarina of time but more edgy. It's also really linear which differs from breath of the wild (i'm assuming that that's the game that got you into liking the Zelda series) But the game is amazing either way and i highly recommend it.
@@tootnoot3074 Well I've emulated ocarina of time on my pc and I really enjoyed and the next year I got skyward and I also enjoyed it and I have obviously played breath of the wild and my favorite out of those three is ocarina of time. But yeah I did get into zelda from breath of the wild
Even if Twilight Princess follows a lot in the footsteps of Ocarina of Time it's a perfect example of "if it ain't broke dont fix it" and it's still one of my favorites regardless
Ok so it IS like ocarina. But you get a few cool weapons to experiment with. The story line and art is gorgeous. The story is rich and dark like Majoras Mask, with a sense of urgency and doom.
The bosses are creative too. Not just "kill bad guy," there's back stories to a handful of them. The bosses without back stories still manage to be iconic.
The music is awesome too.
There are cut scenes and surprises that even I forget (played 3 times) and kept me on my toes.
The character development is nice. The ending is very satisfying, and if you are a easter egg fan/timeline theory freak, it's nice to piece all the other games together.
and most importantly, FISHING MINI GAME
TLDR it's a staple.

@@pvmeza4277 nah man, instead of an actual orchestra they have a bunch of instrument sounds on a soundboard and just throw together a pale imitation of an orchestra and it shows if you just listen.
@@The_Story_Of_Us We are talking about a generation where Nintendo wasn't keen on trying a full blown orchestra for their games soundtrack, so it's understandable why it ended that way for Twilight Princess.
Still I don't get your complain since the game has a nice bunch of iconic music tracks, one among the best in the franchise so far.
@@pvmeza4277 It has some iconic melodies, that’s theory though, in execution they sound electronic and stale compared to live orchestra use in Skyward Sword and BOTW. I wouldn’t even be complaining if they had given a shit about the remake like they did with Wind Waker and re-orchestrated some of the big ones, but no, they just lazily outsourced the remake and the experience is barely improved beyond a couple of quality of life things.
The first Nintendo game that had full use of orchestra was Mario Galaxy
