The Smartdosing dial is a good idea, but only if it will stay in its position. It opens (clicks back) whenever I kneel, crouch or bend down to retrieve a golf ball, for example. I wrote them about this and offered a solution by locking the dial knob. I never received a response to my email. So, does this company not care about user experience? Sad.

Why do you need to find a physician to use this?

Depending on where you are you might need a prescription to have your benefits insurance cover the cost. Also, they are interested in manufacture and marketing of the devices and not able to make a clinical diagnosis of osteoarthritis and whether these will help you or do more damage.
