Dear Alisa, thank you very much for the wonderful tutorial, that I used to draft a raglan shirt with short sleeves for my 6-year old. He did even help pinning and sewing and it looks so good although we are not finished yet. It came together so quickly - I will be making a raglan shirt for myself for sure! Thank you for sharing your knowledge on all things sewing that made this success possible.
That is so great - getting your little ones excited and participating, that's awesome, my little one helps too - pinning, cutting the tissue paper, sewing. I am sooo happy for you! Now you can use it for long sleeve, short sleeve, add a hood to it and turn it into a hoodie, make it longer and turn it into a sporty dress for yourself - so many possibilities :)
I have to say every draft pattern I have learned and sewed with your tutorials are A+. I just threw away a premade pattern today because the measurements were so way off. Darts were everywhere! I know I will not use that pattern and everytime I would look at it I would not be happy. From now on only my patterns will be created with your tutorials.You are easy to understand. I have made two garments from your tutorials that fit the best I've ever sewed.

Thank you. This is very helpful! Love how the cat just walked right over and got in the way. My cats looove doing that to me. They like to sit on top of my arms, grab my arms, and headbutt my hands when I'm trying to do stuff. One of my cats just jumped on the keyboard and fastforwarded through the video so I had to go back to where I was before. LOL. The outfit you made for your daughter is adorable!

Don’t forget to give the cat all the credit. My cats watch me while I am pattern making and try to tell me what to do. Then they think they made it
I have always feared my sewing but because of you I achieved sewing 3 vests and 6 scarfs for Christmas. They turned out PERFECT even using faux furr....which is a nightmare.lol
Nice, great job!!! He he, faux fur - for sure is a thing, I usually love the outcome but not so much the clean up, oh my, takes me a few times to get rid of ALL if the fur. So happy for you! You did a lot of sewing! What are you going to make next?

This is a great idea . I’ve been making a lot of knit dresses and have a lot of good sized square scraps and hate to waste the fabric! I can make a load of these shirts with fun co-ordinating sleeves!

Absolutely + you can use your fabric remnants for the sleeves! Win-win!
I just finished my raglan sweater and it's so cute!! I was nervous about sewing the collar but your instructions were spot on. I can see one small part where I didn't stretch it far enough, but other than that it's pretty good for my first attempt 😁 thanj you for sharing!

Love the wrapping paper. I have BOXES of paper because I recycle as much as I can.
I just love your videos! They make me happy! Also, I use thrifted 2-3-4 x knit shirts to make shirts and bodices and leggings to make my raglan sleeves!!

Could you do a pattern tutorial on a dress, whether with the raglan sleeves or just that one piece dress using your knit top patterns and just adding waist, hips and length? That's easier than I thought it was going to be.
I just made a top like this - self drafted! Used another raglan sleeved purchased top as a guide and put an FBA in it too :)
I'm a quilter and am intimidated when it comes to fashion sewing that actually fit me. However, your videos make me feel like I CAN DO IT! So my request to you is to make a scrub top from the basic T-shirt pattern. I would love to see this as I'm embarking on making scrubs for myself. Please help!

May I suggest you make a few traced "copies" of your original t-shirt draft so you can alter as needed and keep the original pattern for the basic t-shirt. This way you don't have to keep tracing the t-shirt over and over again. ;) Or make one out of a cotton material / muslin as your "original" pattern for the basic t-shirt only.

Alisa, I need help with fabrics. Did you buy a cotton jersey? Should I search for that when I order or purchase? Thank you for your super tutorials - they are helping me so much!
Go to a couple thrift stores and buy a nice LARGE knit shirt for the bodice part and leggings for the sleeves. This is what I do bcI LOVE thrifting and up-cycling!! I even buy shirts just for buttons, buy shirts just for the bands, I make jackets from jeans and long skirts, silk tanks from thrifted men’s shirts and thrifted silk scarves. Sooooo many more fabric options at the thrift stores!
