It is😁. I think it's the people who make it great really. If you try to speak even a little Spanish they will really help you with that as well we find. Cheers, Brian and Rhona.
Thank you Rob😊. For us it's still a case of how little we can work every year rather than total freedom, but it kind of suits us really. Pretty happy all round😁 Cheers, Brian and Rhona.
that's great - we have been going to cambrils for 30 years (wifey used to go in the 60's - a 3 day drive in a ford anglia full of baked beans and spam loool) ... we have a caravan there and will be back in July with our family.. loved your reference to working class people discovering salou in the 70's.... safe travels.
Thanks Simon😊. We often think about getting a permanent caravan around Cambrils. It sort of got everything we think. Yeah, the thing these guys loved about Salou was the pubs and bookies🙂. I think perhaps it was the Benidorm of its day. I was only a kid at the time and loved their enthusiasm when they talked about their holiday. Cheers, Brian and Rhona.
@@RobbotheHighlander well yeah and salou is still a magical working class resort in the summer season. I love it there for the buzz.... when im driving through people stop me at the traffic lights and ask "did you really drive down here?" - they think salou is further away than mars .... ! our caravan is kept at la torre del sol.... a brilliant campsite
Nice campsite, I always like a bit of separation from other campers too, some hedge or trees or a fence. Some sites are so close you can see right into the other camper and watch their tv.
Hi Pam🙂. I remember the first campsite we were on in Southern Europe we were also caught out by the lack of grass! We honestly thought there had been some sort of accident😂. We had no idea really. Cheers Brian and Rhona.
Many thanks for the heads up on the seafood restaurant, the La Selva street food looks amazing too, in fact top Trip Advisor restaurant in Cambrils! Camp site pitch details helped immensely guys. Hopefully drop them a mail and book. Safe travels and look forward to the next vlog 👍🏼 Andy & Bev
Hope you have a great trip🙂. We're heading up to Haro shortly on the way back to the ferry, and hoping to find a bar we can have a last meal in Spain. Cheers, Brian and Rhona.
