You've gotta respect Simon for even trying. Most of us just say we want to be pro wrestlers but do nothing for it.Don't know what about you, but I'm supporting him all the way. #RESPECT
Simon......I'm rooting for you, man. Your finisher MUST be either the Spear, Jackhammer, Neutralizer, or Shell-Shocked. You're heritage beckons you to do so!
Why? honestly do you know how small are the chances of you making good money in wrestling? just go get a degree or something this dream bs never works out
Vanoss&WWEFan1 Bro It's realism. 99 percent of people don't accomplish their dreams. sure we all like watching the cartoony horseshit of pro wrestling. But to actually do it as a full time job with very little chance of success? You're more likely to be wrestling in high school gyms for 50 bucks than to be a success
Simon if you every feel like giving up go back to the comments of this video. Every one is supporting you on this journey. Good Luck and I hope you become an amazing pro wrestler
Definitely late in the game in commenting but I just saw this after about a year and a half of following Whatculture Wrestling. I do not know you personally Simon, but you seem like such a genuine and good man. I hope you go far in wrestling, all the way to Japan, or AEW, or WWE, or wherever. Keep following those dreams!
I'm really excited to see how this goes not only because the documentation of the process of becoming a pro wrestler sounds awesome but also because my favorite member of whatculture wrestling is doing something I always wanted to do. Simon I really hope this goes well and you become a wrestler.
Good luck to you! I'll be joining ya on that road soon enough, once I move to AZ this month, I'm putting all my focus on becoming a pro-wrestler. Can't wait to see your progress!
Simon's the man! Can't wait to see your journey. I am inspired already. Becoming a professional wrestler is something I have wanted for so long and desire to become. Your journey really will push me, that much further to making my dream of main eventing wrestlemania 41 a reality. Thanks from all the dreamers. It means the world.
props for just even giving it a go man, better to try and give it everything than to look back 30 years down the line and regretting to not attempt it. all the best man, really hope you make it!
I so glad that this video was posted, to see a normal person who is willing to work hard going after a dream, I am really considering becoming a pro wrestler after college and after I bulk up, I always thought you have to start so young and be freakishly talented but seeing a normal "older guy" like Simon just try gives me so much confidence, thank you so much Simon and I wish you the best of luck
Love hearing about people following their dreams! Good one you Simon. I am nearing 30 and always had that thought also, who knows when I get done with my next tour of duty I might give it a try!
I'm currently being trained and I love every second of it! I'm even working as a manager in the time being!, I love the business, nothing can describe my love for professional wrestling
I'm 15 and have been training to be a wrestler for the past 4 months and I strongly believe that in the future I could be a huge name in British wrestling
I have the utmost respect for Simon. He seems to be doing exactly what we all dream to do. He's also at the intelligent and mature age that he can kick up his heels and fall flat if he doesn't want to do this anymore. Good on you Simon, I'm sure I speak for pretty much everyone here when I say we'll be here every step of the way.
Simon, in all seriousness, I'm so happy you and WhatCulture have decided to do this collectively. Im so excited to see more, because even though Im definitely not in #SimonShape I've recently thought about going to the OVW school in the states for a beginner program. by seeing this, maybe it will show me that if I try hard enough, I can go for it too!
Good for you, Simon. You seem like you have the right attitude. It's better to try and fail than not even try at all. We all support you on this journey.
Respect man. I tried about 3 years ago, and I'm not afraid to said I gave up. not easy, but I'll never regret trying it and I'll never forget that first class, and finding it hard even getting out of bed the next day. I'd like to give it a second shot though. And I'm sure I'll try again before I hit 30. Cause even after trying and failing the passion is still there. and by they way, I've been a martial artist for about half my life, but nothing prepared me for pro wrestling. its a different beast all together. Good luck mate, hope it works out for you. you'll have amazing memories of it either way.
I'm so proud of you Simon. Congrats on following your dreams!!!!! I can't wait to see more of your videos about your journey. Wishing you all the best!
This is fucking awesome... This is the dream, Everyone in the comments section, everyone watching this video has one time or another had this thought... you're living it! Keep us updated Simon!
I tried to become a wrestler back in 2002 at The Evansville Coliseum, I was trained by "The Original Sin" Chris Champion, "Big Nasty" Shaun Davis, Frank Mullins a/k/a American Kickboxer a/k/a Izzy High, "Smart" Bart Sawyer, "Marvelous" Mitch Ryder, Chris Hero and Mark Wolf along with a few others, but these seven wrestlers I mentioned are the only ones I had more than one seminar with, but others have taught me a few things like Necro Butcher teaching me forearms to the face, Hammer Jack training me for a day when both Frank and Shaun were late, Jason Cain a/k/a Jason Briley teaching me how to take clotheslines, I got a nose bleed from one of those clotheslines when I bumped a little too soon, New Focus Wrestling promoter Johnny Richards teaching a few wristlocks (he was a student at the time, but he's been there a lot longer then me) , I dropped out of training around the end of January 2003, but then I worked as a part of the ring crew in 2007 and started working as a camera guy from the summer of 2008 and retired in Spring of 2015
I first started my pro wrestling training when I was a senior in high school. I was trained old school. It's brutal. The first month or so is designed to "cut the fat" so to speak, its meant to make people quit. I don't know how Al Snow's schools are, but from seeing interviews with him, I'm assuming they're old school as well. Let me say this to you, Simon, (if you read these comments), when I was training we had more than 30 students come in thinking they could become pro wrestlers, athletes, ex soldiers, one state champ amateur wrestler, and not one, not a single one made it more than their first day. And I heard similar stories from dozens of other workers, so if you can make yourself go back for the next session, you're doing better than most. Just keep forcing yourself to go. It never really gets easier, you just get better at ignoring how much it hurts. I blew out both knees, dislocated both shoulders, and my back hurts so much some days its hard to get out of bed, but when people ask me was it worth it and would I do it again, I always say yes. Even now, aches and all, I still sometimes think about getting back into it. There's nothing like it. So Simon, BUMP!
Keep at it Simon. I was in the business for a good long while and have been flirting with the idea of returning to it. I was glad that I got to live the dream that I always wanted to live, and I would dare say that you will have the same reaction when you get through the rigors of training and get to have actual matches. It can be damn rewarding. Good luck to you sir.
I also started training recently. I'm still in Hell Week. Hell week is where you need to do 4 days of intense training and cardio for four days of class time. I am 29 years old and I am also in it for the same reasons you are Simon. I will be honest I do feel discouraged about myself doing this but like you said the fact that we are trying just shows a lot and I am feeling proud of myself for it. Good luck to you Simon and good luck to anyone else who are training.
Idk how anyone can unlike this, he's just trying to bring us along for the ride as he tries to make it on that side of the business. I hope he makes it too.
You got this Simon best of luck on your journey. this video has inspired me to follow my dream and play in the NFL. I have started training and preparing myself. I'm very excited to see your progress Simon.
As someone that constantly wonders if they should give pro wrestling a shot, I think this will be an incredible watch going forward. I'm approaching my last year of college and I wonder if 22 is too old to start so to see you give it a shot is definitely inspiring. Best of luck to you Simon!
this is super inspiring. I'm 29 and am also seriously considering joining a training school. I am concerned that I might already be too old as most people start when they're a decade or so younger than I am, but i figure, what have I got to lose? I might as well give it a crack and see what happens. I haven't watched the rest of the videos in this series, but good luck Simon, hope you get as far as you can with it
Wow, this is pretty awesome. I mean to go from a wrestling review to a promotion to now someone wanting to try out for wrestling channel? legitimacy overload. Seriously, best of luck Simon.
Simon my man, I am sure that you will succeed in becoming a professional wrestler. You have the right build, and hopefully the right level of fitness to thrive in such a sport. I believe in you!
Best of luck dude! I plan on starting my training when I come back from my vacation in August. Being a 5'5 23 year old slim Mexican male I was hesitant, but like you said "what the hell" I'm rooting for you!
I did training for six weeks, but stopped due to personal issues. I have every intention of going back, however, and who knows? Maybe me vs. Simon Miller at WCPW could happen. Good luck with your training, Simon.
That's awesome man! I trained for half a year in El Paso, Tx with the likes of Magno and Hunico until I joined the military. I'm also 30 now, and I try to train here there whenever I get a chance. Good luck.
Good luck Simon whatculture is actually what got me into professional wrestling and you are by far my favorite personality I would love to see you in the ring and I can't wait to see how this pans out
Good for you Simon! I actually am only 15, but I really want to do it and have been a fan since I was 4 yrs. old, and like you said "It's what we've all wanted to do since we were little children" and all you need is the passion to do so! I'm sure you can do it and I hope it goes well!
I started wrestling when I was 14 and it's honestly the hardest thing I've ever Done. Broken noses, pulled muscles it's harder than it looks but if you wanna try it go and give it 100% Simon
You've gotta respect Simon for even trying. Most of us just say we want to be pro wrestlers but do nothing for it.Don't know what about you, but I'm supporting him all the way. #RESPECT

Vanoss&WWEFan1 Bro It's realism. 99 percent of people don't accomplish their dreams. sure we all like watching the cartoony horseshit of pro wrestling. But to actually do it as a full time job with very little chance of success?

Well if AJ Hazard can become a wrestler, then anybody can be a wrestler
Hey. don't talk bad about the "best ever in the world".
if roman made it to wwe then anyone can
+Miguel he's not talking about CM Punk
+Death Lock remember he's only there because of being "cousins" with the rock
Pacitti really should work on getting AJ Hazard in WCPW
He'll be WCPW's HHH. Company man pushed to the moon and everyone will despise him for it. lol
@andymejia just like roman... But HHH actually got cheered when he came back. Not like roman...
Will he and Pacitti be married as well? Lol

Who else thinks his wrestling name should be Milberg?
props for just even giving it a go man, better to try and give it everything than to look back 30 years down the line and regretting to not attempt it. all the best man, really hope you make it!
I used to be a wrestler like you, til I took a drop kick to the knee
Simon > Boreman Reigns
Simon, we are on your side and here to support you. Best of luck, future champion.
Massive respect. Inspiring to see anyone follow their dream. I wish you well!
Keep it up Simon, all the support from a indy luchador in mexico.
Best of luck Simon. Much respect for following your dream.
It's inspiring to see Simon finally follow in the footsteps of his father, Ryback, and try his hand at pro-wrestling.
Best of luck to you, Simon. Hopefully your journey to making it as a professional wrestler doesn't end where mine did with a permanent (leg) injury.

Good luck mate, hope it works out for you. you'll have amazing memories of it either way.
This is such a cool sub-story to the WhatCulture universe. Having someone with some wrestling chops on commentary opens so many doors, creatively.
How WCPW should book: The Miller Debut!

Simon's journey to being a pro-wrestler needs its own playlist.
Simon is most definitely the nicest person at WhatCulture! We're all rooting for you Simon!

Look how well he is doing now! Incredible work Simon, you never gave up!
Idk how anyone can unlike this, he's just trying to bring us along for the ride as he tries to make it on that side of the business. I hope he makes it too.
