    Hello Kyle.
I have used Windows for as long as I can remember. I am 51 years old, very recently disabled overnight, literally, so I turned to video production, but my Samsung Book crashed yesterday and after doing some research, it came clear to me, Apple MacBook was the way forward for my new life at home.
I don't have much money, so I purchased my first ever Apple computer: Apple MacBook M3 Pro 16inch.
I will be purchasing Cubase 13 Pro later today after my MacBook is delivered. I only had the Space Black colour to choose from.
I will be watching more of your videos as I do not know what I am doing.
    Thank you for your video.

UA-cam is a killer resource. I only used windows or Linux for close to 30 years. Got a MacBook in 2021 and haven’t looked back. I learned a lot at nights when I could sleep so I’d just play around. You got a much nicer one then I did, for production you’re set. A lot will come down to the software you buy and learning not well.
A good crash course would be basic Final Cut. If you can learn that inside and out most other software will be intuitive enough. Best of luck and sorry to hear about your accident. If I’m being honest, I’d rather be with my computer than any human anyways. There’s no bullshit or betrayal.. just does what you want and is nice about it lol.

I’ve got this model, but only because I found a great deal on an unwanted Xmas gift.. paid 1600. I’ve had an m2 air for the past 6 months and the 8gigs of ram just wasn’t really cutting it. Figured that if I was gonna upgrade, I might as well do it sooner than later to get as much as I can out of the air. I also very much appreciate the better display.. beyond that, it’s mostly the same experience. Apps load a bit quicker and more ports are nice.. but mostly I went ahead and got it for the sake of future proofing. Realistically, I would have been swapping out the air within a year or two anyway, but I feel like I’ll be set with the m3pro for at least the next 3-4.

I have waited for the M3 PRO mainly because I was so confident the new 3nm (instead of 5nm) technology would push the performance drastically... but then I saw benchmark comparisons with M1 and M2, learnt about the decrease of memory bandwith from 200 to 150 GB/s and realised the shift to more efficiency cores at the expense of performance cores. My consequence: I gave up my M3 PRO idea and bought an *M2 PRO* refurbished instead, saving approx. a quarter(!) of the price.- Things may look different for people choosing the M3 MAX which seems to be a real killer - but that is way too expensive for me, and I don't need the GPU power.

I like the space black. it's not so black that it stops looking premium, but it's still black. While it looks premium, it's also more subtle/understated than the silver. it doesn't have the contrast with silver chassis and the black keys and black bezels. It might look like any black windows laptop, but a premium like the XPS rather than a plastic one like the Inspiron. I prefer that. The Apple logo doesn't exactly pop either. I know some people see Macs as a status symbol, so they want everyone to know that they have one. Not me.

Seriously, just get a Windows laptop with a 4000 series RTX card in it. I do rendering for a living and MBPs have never even come close to being good enough for 3D work. I have an RTX 3080 in my laptop, I also have an M3 Max MBP. The windows laptop is from 2021 and the difference is still night and day. MBPs just don't come close to the performance of Windows laptops in the same price range and in fact, you can get better Windows laptops than mine and still pay less than an M3 Max MBP. GPU intensive tasks like 3D modelling, rendering and games development just aren't worth buying Apple devices for. If the Macs were half the price they are today then sure, but don't waste your money.
Not to mention, RAM and SSD space is important in 3D work too, and Apple charges >700% markup on RAM and SSDs. Seriously, it's absolutely scandalous. My laptop has 4TBs of NVMe SSD storage, and 64GB of RAM and it's STILL cheaper than my M3 Max MBP. Don't waste your money just because MacOS is pretty, it's not worth it.

Good video. Yes maybe Geekbench etc don't show how good the M3 pro is in real world use. Some UA-camrs have shown it's often a function of how much ram you have and how much you are prepared to pay to just shave a few seconds of export times. the M3 max is a beast but an expensive one.
I upgraded from a 2019 i7 MBP 16" to a M3 pro MBP 18/512 space black (cool) and it is a hell of a lot faster, cooler (the fans never kick in). The battery last over a day for me whereas my old intel MBP need juice after a few hours it seemed. So that's what the M3 pro is designed to do, I think: get me to upgrade. Ok M2 pro would have been cheaper but it's not space black nor would it last as long fractionally in use life.

Oh one more thing. I work with Australian opals. Which are notoriously hard to photograph. As they can be crystal clear, solid or in between with colors amorphously “moving” around within the stones. I wish to accurately depict the true colors of my stones. A lot of “jewelers” do the opposite, they use filters etc to show the Opal in the very best possible position and light with filters etc to trick people into thinking the stone is mud h more fabulous than it actually is. When in reality, one would have to hold the Opal in that exact position and light for it to look that great. I’ve been looking back at a few of your videos it seems you are impressed with the true color rendering of the Mac Pro 3…

My good man I need your help. I have been having a large problem recently that's been bugging me a lot with computers... I have been trying to find a good new computer either PC or laptop for myself, but I have just kept returning all the time, plus the monitors. The problem is that I can't find a good computer with correct color accuracy, the only computer that has such color accuracy is apple computers, like macbook. But I can't play all games on macbook and I like to play games, like Team Fortress 2 for example which you can't play on macbook. I don't understand why windows computers can't have correct coloring, sometimes it even feels like they just don't put any effort in it and I don't know with windows is the problem the monitor or the graphics card, which monitor should I have with which graphics card? I dont know anything really about computers so I don't even know if Im talking any sense right now. The point is that when I try to buy a pc and a monitor the color orange turns yellow, and the monitor hurts my eyes for no reason at all and I think maybe im just buying the shit products unluckily, I don't know how to look for the good ones. This is why Im very much considering to buy a macbook m3 pro when I can because I like it that it's mobile, perfect color, can do some games with it and would be a very comfortable experience to watch movies and youtube with it
