This build looks so sick, its not often you see a light weight that plays more in mid range then CQC. It’s so good to see someone go against the grain and thriving. Rank 15 is insane. Keep up the great work Raven.
The only things I'm disappointed about with this game is the lack of parts compared to AC4 and 5 as well as there being no Turf Wars gamemode. Otherwise the gameplay is what I always wanted AC to be! By far my favorite AC game!
We can only hope for more updates and DLC’s after the Elden ring release. I think there is hope for AC6 As king as we keep playing and uploading content. 😎
Same here , i told that to my friends who played the first time, there used yo be more complex, radiator, small balance pieces for legs, arms, more variety of fcs, etc.
Playing against LW builds is exciting in ranked because you know it'll either be an easy win (noobie doesn't know the meta) or a legendary fight (dude knows his stuff and fights like a boss) It goes without saying that LW builds have to avoid taking damage more than other builds. But those who can get to S and higher with one can look at your loadout and usually react before you pull the trigger, or can react as the bullet comes over.
I'm gonna try switching one of my RANSETSU RF for and ETSUJIN. I use 3PM and DUO-3, but with the extra weight, I may try switching the 3PM out for SPL-08 and see if that combo is even harder to dodge.
"YOU NEED TO MOVE A LITTLE FASTER THAN THAT SON. SPEED IS LIFE." Once I started playing lightweight, anything under 350 boost speed was completely unusable lmao.
Great build ! I'm not even close to that building and piloting level, but wondering : why not double etsujin or double ransetsu ? Why one of each ? I'm very curious :)
Ransetsu is good for mid to long range. While Etsujin is better for close to mid for stagger up keep and rushing down. Basically I wanted to have a weapon combo that make up for the other’s weaknesses.
I see AC as a vehicle combat game, like War Thunder or DCS. I dont think every reasonable build should necessarily be viable. Making compromisses is part of the game. From Soft should focus on fixing broken OP Weapons that allow for genuinely unfair or abnoucious strats that cheese the game. I love my ballanced, flexible medium builds, they can easily fit a wide array of weapons and playstiles while still being very fast. What is the point of getting that 380 boost speed when 340 will still dodge all weapons with ease? Being the fastes doesnt realy matter, what matters is being faster than your opponent and control the engage/disengage dynamic. Its always like that in any game, the faster guy controls the engagement range. But its not a binary thing, if you are only slightly faster than it doesnt matter much and the tradeoff is just not worth it. I also see a lot of fast melee and it makes no sense to me, because if you get close your dodge becomes much more difficult and you will get hit eventualy you cant always dodge everything so why play arround the melee when using light? I think its nice to have a laser dagger or pulse blade but use it as an oportunist, not play arround the stagger punish as a light, it makes no sense when you think about it. It is much harder for you to do your thing than it is for the enemy Heavy to do his, he already has an ACS stability advantage on you too. So yes, to use LW you MUST kite and make yourself harder to hit, stagger punish is way too risky for a true LW. But a medium can do it all and adapt. Thats not the game being unballanced or bad, thats just bad strategy, and the whole point of the game, some things work against otheres and some dont. Just look at the P51 fighter IRL. It was not the best at anything but its decent at averything. It could adapt to anything. Also look at modern vehicles/weapons development (and what we do in AC6 is basicaly this within the constraints and systems of the game, develop war machines) Often the most dominant vehicles on the modern battlefield are the more flexible, balanced designs, that can adapt to whatever the situation calls for and are decent at everything. Thats how I like to think about it.
I’m stuck using B.V.O I just like to go fast and if I get you staggered and get that sword going it’s bye bye to any light/mid build basically. I take the “oh you’re gonna kite me, I’ll get closer” approach
The moment I saw the NACHT legs and RANSETSU RF, I was like YEAH BABY! I you get an instant like on this video. I run a light very similar to this, but my missile choice is designed to catch LAMM and missile boats/rats.
YOOOOOO I run a very similar setup and it’s soooo fun. Coral gen, alba arms, and Freud drones instead of split missiles. NGI booster as well because I just like how it plays on lightweights. Fly high and fly fast, Raven!
Y'all are suuuper annoying but i respect the build and playstyle. Good job, love the split missiles. i've been running a midweight turner/laser pistol/dual split missiles/moonlight build with the VE-20B in A rank, and i end up having to do pleeenty of kiting. Looove the damage on that charged moonlight, you should give it a try. Music choice is great too.
Movement seems so overshadowed by the tanky/heavy dps ACs, but when a player knows how to move and adapt, it's a blast to dodge all types of proyectiles. When a Lightweight encounters a Lightweight... Man, it's a battle that you can't miss. It's more of a battle for speed and I'm all for it.

Hey, do you have any intention of playing older ac games? I noticed ac2 theme here 4:56, and was reminded of how people in a discord got pvp online functionality on the ps1 emulator they use. It may be splitcreen pvp, but it is a start. If you don’t mind the really difficult AC games, I’ll suggest Armored Core: Last Raven for pvp as well… it even has online integration, so just need a way to connect remotely to your opponent, which this discord has. I will add: if you decide to emulate AC anywhere from 1st through 3rd gen, I’ll be happy to help ya with any questions.
Nice build and great video! I play a mid weight dual zimm, earshot and missile launcher. It’s great to see things from the perspective of a LW Kite, you manage your EN so efficiently! Maintaining speed with minimal EN usage.
I have just been getting into AC6 again and the pvp was really fun. unfortunately my save data corrupted the second day I tried out pvp so now I have to work my way back up to my lightweight build again...
Heavy weight builds just suck, were is the fun in basically holding still and shooting when lw builds needs you to move alot and keeps the “fun” medium builds are also good too

The split missiles from my experience are more consistent with their tracking when not using cover and they add more stagger. The other missiles are better for shooting behind cover. Watched a lot of clips where my other missiles would hit the ground because of the curve. So I decided to change and I’m glad I did.

I love that you don’t have a specific punish, you’re just playing carefully, staggering while damaging, and keeping with your flow/ movement over stagger punish. When all of those plasmas hit at the perfectly timed ACS overload it’s awesome damage for this play style too
Been rocking something similar, but more midweight with an Etsujinn, Ransetsu, Jav beta, Pfau. A sorta all ranger kite. Congrats on S rank 15. Huge accomplishment. Gonna steal this and see if I can't learn lws.
Update: Little over 70 percent win rate after falling down to A1 and currently over half way into A4. Build is super fun. Not sure if I'm doing it right, since I still feel like I instal lose to heavy weight bipeds but.. against most other things I feel like I have a chance.

To this day LW still suck? Bro FromSoft does not give a DAMN about this game. Edit: Alright, lemme get this out the way, I main LW, and personally I think LWs are genuinely just worst than the other types, if the only thing that makes a LW good is Speed, Evasion and Skill who’s to say that you can’t just use a damn M build, balance out your stats and use movement tech so that you’ve got decent speed and can actually take a damn hit. A LW is horrendously squishy and if they were to try to fight something tanky that can lock them down they’re always gonna lose. LWs takes skill (duh) but why not just put that skill into another build and have some actual survivability on top? Like seriously, why run a LW when a M can deadass just use movement tech and have more health and sustain more stagger? I’m gonna keep using LW because that shit is cool, but when I last played, using LW was always like being one wrong move from annihilation compared to a simple well built M build.

Fromsoft put out a recruitment for programmers for AC6 DLC so heres hoping.

Rusty's build with A SLIGHT modification is such a good build for PVP man. But anyways, RAAAH LIGHT BUILD, I LOVE BOOSTING AROUND LIKE A SUPER ROBOT.
Cut the game's music and balance the audio so you can still hear the fight. I miss all the crunchy impact and the sharp gun noises.

They don't suck, but you mostly have to stick to kiting, and there's very little room to make mistakes
