I've never played Zomboid but how far can your character see? He was moving around like he had unobstructed vision and knew where everyone was even in cover or behind things.
I’ve really enjoyed these events since your 100 survivors in the mall. I have an idea for a future event… have, say a $250 prize like in your previous event, but whoever is in a certain location (like the helipad) at the end of the event splits it. It would incentivize factions to hold a position, and it would make the late game survivors choose between sharing the spoils or betraying each other for a larger prize. Anyway, looking forward to more great content!
Add more hostile events like Admins playing as either hostile bandits or a small hostile military convoy, the players would have to fight them off to either survive or get their loot, think of TWD where the governor kills the national guard unit to take their gear (or the military purging local citizens)
I do find it interesting to see what players keep alliance's and grudges from previous sessions vs starting over without any bias towards players who may have been antagonistic before.
These things are so great. The constant barrage of suggestions is actually proof that you're doing something right. Right after 2:31:45 someone said something about Frenchman, and then someone said "Oh heyyy," and is sounded JUST like Donut from Red Vs. Blue. I mean, serrrriously sounded just like him and that's exactly what Donut would say. The admins were hilarious, the "oh no a customer" was crackin me up. It's so weird how everyone cares so much about eating zombie meat. I get, "but muh immersion," but still. The name of the game is survive.
It must be frustrating to deal with overly pessimistic comments while you're running a live event with 110+ ppl involved + chat and server - much respect and keep it up dude!
The magnum opis of these events has been the kingsmouth content. It is just the perfect map for these situations, otherwise there is just too much empty space for players to get lost in. Felt very disorganized to watch, no one really knowing what to do. I think the idea and rules, as well as mini events have all been top notch, its just the maps I think that need to be considered. I think maybe Ravens creek could be a good idea, just a section of it, although maybe hard to run on a server. Maybe a ten years later map? Or you could do the underground map, "I trapped a 100 players underground." That could be fun. Otherwise, good video and hope you feel better harvest.
Really fun to watch, but that shootout on the racetrack by Grim and 1 random oil guy that decide to group up for not really any apparent reason, and know where to go exactly felt a little off
Bad idea, there would be almost zero coms, it would be really sweaty and try hard, not fun to watch. The last one was perfect, only three members per clan.
@@lobear3074 Its not that people cant ally with others. its just that backstabs are very openly on the cards. And ultimately everyone knows its all about one survivor, so backstabs should be encouraged. i think that would make for really interesting gameplay, especially if theres a monetary prize. Might be a bit sweaty, but the competition is what makes it more interesting to me at least. The three members per clan was the best one so far, but i want more backstabbery.
@@drednaut6969 yeah, sometimes it’s harder to get backstabbing if you try to force players, people are pretty defiant and might intentionally not backstab. I think no factions is interesting for an event, and allow them to still ally. But the last one had a lot of backstabbing imo, and I felt it was a good balance.

It becomes predictable, and there would be no backstabbing because there is no teams. So not sure why people keep saying it would create more drama. It would just be a bunch of solos wondering around, and a few gun fights. This is something I hate about those who play these events, they always feel the need to play a psycho murderer for "the content bro" its just forced and annoying. Nothing like getting involved in a character to have them all die by a tryhard who needs a few seconds of fame.
I can't wait to see how the Fallout series goes. The first Harvest video I seen, the Mall, I thought a Fallout version would be awesome. What you're doing is very reminiscent of vault experiments. (Playing fallout since Fallout 1)
Ngl every twist you had this time was pretty neat really wish there was a edited version of the vods just cutting those early reveals out, maybe not a over geared group like last time tho but maybe one event, the CULT clan joins in as a suprise evil event
I really enjoyed this one, KoS psychos or not. I honestly just see it as part of the RP. Though yeah if it was the full 100 then that would just suck (except when it's the point like the hunger games), but just a small group? Sure that's fine. They're a roaming threat and reminder not to be too trusting or to let your guard down. It adds to the drama and I was smiling ear to ear during the racetrack massacre. I honestly didn't expect them to live as long as they did anyways.
You should allow the team who sacrificed so others could live be the ones defending the extract zone (If they choose). OIL almost got wiped out because they lost 6 members to the sacrifice. Which seems really unfair.

I feel like future events should have some of the big names be like special players with specific roles. Nitro has a team of 3 with him at all times and they are general helpers. A Lone roaming doctor with loads of health and supplies. Someone who is a bounty hunter whos job is to just kill Jacob. The Chaos is fun but is fairly predictable that it all goes to shit. if people generally knew thier roles (cook/farmer/builder/cultist/fighter etc) then it would lead to groups having a better idea of what they can do and who needs who.
harvezt having a micheal bay moment on getting annoyued with ppl not following scri[t and threaten to blacklist them. context: if i heard right micheal bay got issues with tj miller and others years back on not acting like complete idiots in the movie and threaten their careers.

It would make KOSING so much worse. Its only on so people can see who is KOSING so they don't ruin the event. I think they could do a thing where it only shows when you kill 2 people so you could get a cool sneaky kill on an enemy in another faction or your own for storyline purposes.
I didn't undestood the extraction thing. I was expecting a public arena end game fighting for the hat. . Anyway. All funny, maybe too much forest. And few nice spots with gear

BUT WHY do large groups of survivors especially when armed wait for half their people to die before doing anything. On top of that only like a third become hardened survivors and try to counteract their attempted murderers.

What about an egg hunt event style theme, the faction who collects the most eggs at the end timer is allowed to extract, you can raid or trade others for them and the chat is allowed to hand them to players they like or for an epic moment. It don't have to be eggs they collect it could be escape tickets or something. Thanks for the video's btw, I love all the civilisation videos you do especially ❤
I personally don't like these kill on sight events. They always devolve to killing each other too quickly, and a lot of the fun in these series is the RP and the growing feuds.

so i had a random idea it would be cool if you did something like the hunger games in project zomboid or maybe a similar game where you have teams and factions but you also have stuff like sponsors and it could be the twitch chat whenever they donate or gift a sub or something they could pick a certain team or individual player to give them a little gift from like a randomized list that could be anything from ammo to food or even a cure and it could be like a spin the wheel sort of thing to make it a bit more fair for everyone as it would be randomized odds of getting something also there would have to be an item limit for specific things like cure’s and maybe weapons so there isn’t just an unlimited amount of them floating around because that would take away the whole survival aspect
These Civilization events are kinda pointless when its only for a few hours. There are no incentives to actually building said civiliation in such a short time period. All people do it sit around until each event. I like the idea of pitting two different groups on one another but even that barely played out. Land guys just started killing eachother because nothing was happening. If there was an incentive for the land guys to hunt the Captain or something it would make it much more entertaining. I know you guys are still working out the kinks so im sure youll get it locked in soon enough.
Jacob is the most annoying player in any of your events, the slimiest, and always the one I'm rooting for to die. If I was ever in an event it'd be KOS because everything they say are lies without fail.

you should mention right at the start... the rescue conditions. That would make people care more for the hat. I should be visible to everyone, but needs more benefits to wear it in between. AND you should not let them loot the ones that sacrifized themselfes
You should run a second account just for recording. For example that account could ghost and sit at bases (not streaming only recording) but with editing itd make for some sweet story cinema after the stream
Not a fan of the Grim clan + Omen, just didn't seem organic. What was the logic of running everywhere killing random people without any context. But TBH this event was a bit slow map was too big.
i watched the last video and there were some stories you missed and disbanded like maddie and troy should have got side filler stories afte they disbanded from being attacked by the grey group. Troy, Maddie, and the guy that got caught in the outhouse had canon stories and imo Maddie and Troy didn't get the stories they deserved.
He's working on it, posting progress on the discord. He said because the 1st civ video was so successful he wants the 2nd for the mall civ to be just as good, if not better. Quality over Quantity.

Fallout event sounds cool. Zomboid online is a perfect base for a Vault Tec-like backstory and the different experiments on human communities.

You need to turn off death notifications. It completely prevents entertaining scenarios.

I really enjoy this game and Al its concepts but the lighting of view is just sooo stupid.
You have a great idea here but always POORLY EXECUTED. Why even do Factions so that the same people join each other every event? All Episodes look the same.

And if you say anything like “well they aren’t all on the oil rig” just watch the video then you’ll see the oil rig would be too small/ hectic to have 100 players on.
