Yes
@@niklaus9678 Orcas are too big, orcas more than just 20ft they can get over that, next time get a brain
Orcas kill Great White sharks just for their liver. They've learned that they can immobilize the shark by turning them on its back and holding it in place until it dies.
"Theyve learned"
You know we found this out from them and grey dolphins right.....meaning its not new and likely something they've been doing for eons.....

Colossal squids are very much a threat to orcas as they quite large and there tentacles are lined with serrated teeth and on its two longest tentacles are large flipper like appendages with multiple hooks jutting out
@@Jpz-4-5
Can Orcas even come across Colossal Squids? They're very far apart.
I’m talking about the video
@@SSADO- Yes, I think too
What most people don't realize is that large predators almost never attack another large predator if there is a chance of injury (because in the wild a small injury usually leads to death). It will only happen if one side has numbers on their side. Or if they are very very hungry and end up throwing caution to the wind. Most often they just posture and threaten and one side backs down.
Well the orca kills great whites alot because they want the liver, they don't even eat the rest. So wasteful.
Nah man orcas literally play with great whites
Orca actually hunts great white
Then there is Cookiecutter Sharks?
The only exception, is Lions when it comes to Hyenas, some male Lion’s will always attack Hyenas regardless. No one knows why this is the case.

@@palmarolavlklingholm9684 actually the squid would be more than smart enough to fuck with the orcas eyes which is more than enough to make it rethink its actions
Squids aint no bitches, and i love orcas, but a straight up 1v1 is dicey as hell between the two in all reality
@@LilJ3090 Well I said I was unsure if a orca could take a giant squid. But there is no way in hell, the squid could take an Orca. Best case scenario is that It makes so much trouble that the Orca thinks what the hell, I cant be bothered by this, and goes and finds another prey. But I still think there is a fair chance that the Orca actually can kill the squid. Yes, the squid is intelligent, but that is Orcas also. Only more so.
Most interesting to me is the humpback whale preventing any species from being attacked by orcas...That's fascinating
That's fake, the humpback would be on a tshirt
@@Cyrus-rodn45my brother in Christ there's tons of footage on UA-cam and studies from at least the 1980s
@@Cyrus-rodn45shit we seen it be done the other way around
Should be called police whale
To quote Casual Geographic, "It's gotten to a point where humpbacks will hear the sound of an orca hunt and take it personally."
Humpback whales are very agile swimmers, and being 4-6x the weight of the largest orcas their ability to thrash their bodies, leap out of the water, and swing their tails horizontally make them dangerous, they sink small craft frequently by accident during play or mating displays
Great Whites have a documented prey response to the mere presence of orcas. They are known to abandon fertile feeding grounds for more than a year due to the presence of orcas. One tagged Great White dove off the coast of California to a depth of 5000 feet (below the range of orcas) and didn’t come up above that depth until it reached Hawaii.
This is apparently an instinctive response to their only natural predator. It is likely that even a calf would trigger this response, so a lone smaller female would never be threatened by any shark. While it is possible for the bite of one of these sharks to seriously or even mortally wound an orca, the likelihood of the shark responding that way goes against our current knowledge of the interactions of the two species.
Yes, but the video is about "could", and yes a white shark very much could defeat one.
@@Cr0zzle well put.
exactly the moment i saw a great white being mentioned i was like nah no way the orca could be on it's dying breath and the shark will still peace out of there as quick as possible the orcas literally traumatize other animals in the water so much that even a whiff of an orca's presence will send them running away in a frenzy
There are two orca who've changed the ocean ecosystem of South Africa by themselves. They've literally already found 8 great white carcasses with their livers and hearts ripped out - and those are only the ones that have washed ashore. GWs have almost completely stopped going to South Africa.
that's because mammals are the apex
I love how half this guy’s reasoning is “dude, trust me.” 😆
😂😂😂😂😂
the other half is "i'm telling you, man"
“Who could kill an orca?”
“A great white shark.”
“Really? I thought Orcas hunted Great Whites??”
“Only if the orca is female, unusually small, alone and sickly.”
Fr. All these people in the comments don’t understand that a great white shark is 0 match for an orca. Even a singular orca is enough to take out everything in the ocean only stopping its rampage at: adult whales, and anything too deep down to get
@@paranoia1080 No, bull sperm whaales have been known to kill killer whales and chase of squads. Not sure about the others though
@@Rowlph8888 Hence why I said adult whales. Orcas can kill bull sperm calves. And only kill adults if their pod consists of 6 or more, and their feeling super risky.
You left one out: Sting ray. There is one case of an orca that washed up dead on a beach, I think it was New Zealand. They performed a necropsy on the animal and they found a sting ray spine that was lodged in the spinal column of the whale. They determined that the orca must have fed on a sting ray years before and was stung, probably in the face. Over the years the spine slowly traveled through the orcas body, eventually lodging in its spine, killing it.
In his 5 animals that could defeat a great white shark, he says that a great white shark stands no chance against a killer whale and now he is saying that a great white shark has some chance against a killer whale.

The biggest problem with the great white scenario is that a great white bite force is about 4000 psi while an orca's bite force is about 19000 psi. It would simply crush the shark.
Direct Bite force really doesn't mean much. If the Shark gets a good bite on the Orca, it's screwed; great white teeth are perfect for tearing apart fatty bodies like whales and seals; the problem is that Orcas are significantly bigger, and are smarter. Alot of Orcas play around with their food like slapping seals and sting rays, but they usually kill a shark very quickly because they know one mistake can be dangerous.
The thing with Orcas is that all ecotypes are put into one category. For example, people think 30 foot Orcas eat great whites but thats completely false. Only 2 ecotypes of Orcas eat sharks and that is offshore killer whale and type 1 eastern north Atlantic. Both are considerably smaller than the other ecotypes of Orcas only growing 21 feet. Also, bite forces doesn’t really matter, Orcas may have a stronger bite but their teeth has been shown to wear down severely when they try to hunt sharks. Unlike the great white, the shark wouldn’t really be bothered by Orca flesh since its just blubber.
This Psi thing is mostly pure bullshit

A sperm whale is too aggressive to a orca pod so the sperm whale will kill a few of the orcas and the rest will leave
@@loify8381 no a sperm whale or any other animal stand no chance against a orca pod they are the ultimate apex predators in the sea, the only way a sperm whale defeats an orca is if he/she is sick and not fully grown yet, or if he has a nuke attached to his body.
@@loify8381 the blue whale could also kill an orca easily with their 25 feet tail and it doesn't stop the sea pandas harassing them.

@@CreepAnime It’s like a blue whale but a crocodile attached on the tail, a croc would make a good meal for a orca but also a great whip
it has been shown on film that a great white dies when a killer whale attacks... one on one the orca wins..
The colossal squid example is pretty silly tbh. Orcas don’t dive much deeper than a hundred meters in general, colossal and giant squid live at depths of around a kilometer or more, where they are hunted by Sperm Whales, against whom they stand no chance due to the Squid’s limited offensive capability against the toothed, many many times more massive and blubbery whale, only managing to score surface level suction scars on the whales. If encounters ever occur between these huge squids and Killer whales, it would be in shallow depths, whereupon the Squids would be severely disadvantaged due to the massive pressure difference between their natural habitats and shallow waters and would as such be reduced to what is essentially disabled blobs, with their ability to fight back against an Orca over ten times its size being virtually futile.
I’ve gained a huge admiration for the humpback 🐋 whale after hearing that they rescue other creatures from orca attacks because they don’t want the creature to suffer.
This let's us know dolphins and whales aren't family.

You beat me to it. When a Great White realises that there is _ANY_ Orca about, they're off.
There are the Farallon Islands off the coast of San Francisco were researchers study Gt. Whites due to the numbers that are around.
The researchers always say that when the Gt. Whites disappear, they know that an Orca will appear sooner than later and that the Gt. Whites will not return for a week or so.

Nothing is more formidable than a pod of orcas.
This white shark bit sounded like "an 8 year old child could beat an adult if it had a shotgun and if the adult was the same size as the 8 year old"
Any animal that survives or hurts an Orca is know to its kind as the Chosen One.
LOL
Orcas also overpower a great white shark in physical strength.
I've heard of orca being able to literally flip over sharks to "put them to sleep"
@@willsanimalfactsig5750 There is footage of Orcas doing it to a Tiger shark.
@carlo er they would simply bite them in half
@carlo er an average Great White is between 500-700Kg. An average Orca betwen 3.5-4.0Ton. So yes, it is possible.
@carlo er I am sorry. The average for GW Is between 500-700kg. But it is not very uncommon to se them quite a bit larger. The largest I have heard about was 3000kg, but that one was not confirmed. And even that is less than an average Orca. And yes if you are talking about biting it in two on the thickest part of the body, that would probably be a tall order even for a Orca. But it would rather go further back. Completely removing the tale.
Good to know these animals can defeat one baby orca.
Not the sperm whale tho. It would annihilate everything in front of it.
I wonder what made humpbacks so aggressive in to killer whales in the first place. His theory is good but wow this is the first time I've actually ever heard of an animal species as a whole, trying to protect others from orcas. There are numerous solitary cases where mothers of different species will take a foreign species and nurse them, adopt them, protect them, but an entire species, having a passionate reason based on experience is just eye opening to me.
It reminds me of how elephants will trample lion cubs if they find them, and they will mess with lions in other ways if lions aren't careful. Lions rarely have an opportunity to kill an elephant, even sick or young ones, but it happens occasionally, and there was a pride discovered recently that is especially large, and specializes in hunting full grown elephants. Even though elephants don't often fall prey to lions, an elephant never forgets, and one dead friend is one too many.
Well, sometimes the orcas kill the child humpbacks, or so I've heard.
@@MrLainon elephants have a memory similar to ours they don't forget things, maybe the reason they go after lions like that
It's well known that humpback whales trend to protect other animals. There is a case of a wonan who was studying humpback whales in the water and a humpback whale kept trying to take the woman to the surface until they noticed there was a huge tiger shark around and realized the humpback whale was putting itself between the woman and the shark to protect her (video here: ua-cam.com/video/NTw8MR67xv8/v-deo.html ).
Fun Fact- Orcas are too inteligent to come alone with other giant creatures noted here.
They only come in huge pods if to take down whales they often pact 2 or even 3 pods for hunting bigger prey.
Lions are like that too they hunt in packs

It's now believed that the many scars on sperm whales body actually stems from fights with the colossal squid. Furthermore, the hooked suckers on the tentacle clubs of the colossal squid can rotate 360 degrees. Nice touch!
Very interesting, this subject matter!
the ocean is a scary place
Large Great White's have been videoed attacking baby Orcas, but they lost because mom came along and killed them right away. Usually the mere presence of an Orca sends all sharks to the deep.
Where’s the video to prove this 😂

Tnx vry nice n I learn àlot
Orcas are the wolfs of the sea they are so smart when there is a pod of orcas they can kill anything any size when they work together
They’ve often found a dead killer whale with the barb from a string ray stuck in it. Obviously killers hunt these as they are on their menu, but sometimes prove to be fatal.
That's why Orcas learned to Tail Slap Stingrays
There’s something extra special about the humpback whale. This video made me want to learn all I can about them. Thanks.
WOW, VERY GOOD VIDEO! Thanks. John P.
Some Orca pods are currently targeting boats/yachts & the yuppies aboard 👍
This video should have been called. "5 Animals that could defeat an orca in theory and only if it's alone and less intelligent than a normal orca, even though we have zero evidence of this actually happening, and more often than not, the orca can and has killed this animal before."
Greatly said. For example, there is not one evidence of proof of any shark killing any orca at all. But there is many videos and facts of orcas destroying great whites and eating their livers for fun.
I mean the giant squid one, if a pod of orca take on a giant squid in its prime, I'm almost certain the orca would win
@carlo er You base this comment on what evidence though? Just because they are bigger doesn't mean they can defeat Orcas though, considering how intelligent the hunters are they'll more than likely be able to take out an sized prey especially if hungry enough. It's why so far they have no known natural predators in the oceans.
@@evilformerlys4704 There are over a hundred recorded cases of humpback whales frustrating orca hunts and driving them away...

The interesting thing is there are only two recorded attacks on humans by killer whales. One was fatal and was probably a case of mistaken identity. A guy swimming in a black body length diving gear was probably mistaken for a seal was the only death. The other was hit when a Killer Whale launched itself out of the water near a surfer and landed on him. He had severe life threatening injuries but survived. They are usually only dangerous to other sea life they eat as prey. It's been a long time since I checked that statistic, so there may be more by now but not many I'm sure.

There have been a total of 4 human deaths by Orca. 3 of those were by the same individual held in captivity at Seaworld.
Orcas are so bright I have no doubt they will start including humans in their diet the minute the oceans are seal- and fish free. The mystery is why aren't they killing them already? We are so much weaker than them in the ocean.
in general Orca's avoid harming humans because they are intelligent enough to know how big a threat humans actually are... at least for now...

We were definitely sampled once upon a time, but moved significantly far down the list of available food sources.

I think even an equal sized Great White would lose to an Orca, unless it was young.
Lol a 20foot great white would win. It's too wide to topple and has the deadliest weapon among any animal
@@niklaus9678 That’s not as big as an Orca, though, and even a same-sized Orca would win. That are too aggressive, and I think stronger than Sharks.
@@brentlionakaboldchamp they're both big at peak, fact is orcas majority of the time barely reach 20feet while sharks reaching 18feet is consistent.
Only 2 orcas surpassed 8000lbs so that's extremely rare.
I think a big shark is stronger because of its jaws, 1 bite and the orca will 100% die, it might not die right away but eventually from injury. - a 14foot shark tears 30lbs+ of flesh so imagine a bigger one.
@@niklaus9678 You`re actually quite wrong. Great whites are most usually under 18 feet, and i know because i have measurements of them. Orca`s are usually over 20 feet, actually, and have weighed upwards of 22,000 lbs. Far more than 2 Orca`s have reached 8000 lbs, lol. You are likely thinking of the smallest Orca types, but most websites list estimated or inaccurate info. Also, even the smallest type of Orca are bigger than Great Whites.
@@brentlionakaboldchamp I agree with you here never heard of an Orca being 8000lbs lol that's extremely low weight for them and they are much bigger than great whites 100%
Fun fact, none of these creatures exist when no one's around to see them.
When I don't see you you don't exist
Not creatures primate!
I am pretty damn sure that if orca were the same size as GWS then there is no chance for orca to win. The power of GWS is so huge that some animals would match that strength
Absolute LOL at the people claiming a Blue, Humpback or Sperm Whale wouldn't destroy an Orca.
Blue whale or humpback whale or sperm whale would destroy an orca bruh humpback whales literally intervene with orcas hunting a bull sperm whale would destroy the orca the only reason orcas can hunt such large prey is bc they hunt in pods

If we’re talking a 1v1 on an average orca, I’d say adult sperm whale, giant squid, colossal squid, a VERY large great white(not the highest chance admittedly but better than most odds), and of course...seaworld
Yes! I've been waiting for this video for so long! I only see a few creatures beating an orca:
Humans
Sperm whale
Large baleen whales (blue whale, fin whale, humpback whale)

I didn't know that about Humpbacks ( whatever is in their krill and plankton-- I need to get some of it !! ) But I have seen this behavior in Elephants. Two " Cowardly Lions " attacked a buffalo, one in front, one in back. An Elephant heard the noise, and came charging over and ran the Lions off like a whipped dog !
I’m no expert, and this is a bit like the lion vs. tiger inter species argument, in that in nature, the risk of injury arising from conflict, is probably what prevents such situations from arising or escalating beyond a point. The more larger and experienced the potential combatants are, the wider berth they will give each other. There are no doctors or hospitals in nature, so such conflicts only happen if one species is either very hungry enough to overlook the risks or can mount a surprise attack if it feels that it’s warranted. But great whites, while very big and positively dangerous, are solitary creatures and orcas move as pack hunters, which automatically makes for conflict avoidance, I feel.
Which is why it was believed for some time that the GWS and the Orca avoided each other. they know now this is incorrect, there is at least one group of Orca called the "LA Gang" that seek out, kill, and eat the GWS.
@@jimquantic Wow! That’s amazing. But does this gang take on fully grown GWS?
@@jimquantic I saw a documentary where 7 Great White carcasses washed ashore with only the livers removed. It was 7 in a 6 week period. There may have been more but those 7 are confirmed.
When Orca want to takeover a seal hunting spot Great Whites skip town. Orca are the OG of the oceans.
@@jimquantic lol..... Orcas hunt sharks that's why sharks avoid them not killer
Many Orcas feed from sharks, Great Whites included (for their liver).
And there are reports (witnessed) where single orcas take down a white shark - also because that's one of the tactics they use. One single animal speeds up, strikes and then turn the shark upside down.
My spirit animal. These magnificent creatures should be allowed to roam as they were intended, not locked in aquatic prisons for our amusement and at great cost to their mental health.
Right? I feel like human beings wanted to capture killer whales in zoos and in captivity for the simple fact that their name is called killer whales..you know what I mean? The more dangerous
powerful and elusive the creature is the more people want to capture it or control it's existence...people want to say it's about research and knowledge....but why can't we just study them in the wild where they belong???...it's to make money first and foremost...humans just want to capture these creatures to maintain dominance over all living things on all platforms
@carlo er I mean I don't know if I'd be glad people got attacked by killer whales because those people died but I would like to see human beings just study them and alot of other fragile ecosystem animals in their natural environments

U just will understand it why human start killing them its just a nature to hunt another
Down in Mexico there was a story of a great white killing a fully grown healthy Orca. It always depends in their fights, who is bigger and healthier. Also if it's a one on one fight
There's another one, the pilot whale
I have been learning about these creatures for 8 years now and know 367 facts.
One of them is that they ARE apex predators.
No argument, they’re basically invincible with their pods!

Great White:- 4,000 PSI, Orca- 19000 PSI. Is this a joke😂😂😂😂
No it's real
@@elephantgod7865 orca ain't 19000 PSI its 4200 and 19000 PSI is stronger than t-rex
19000 is so fake orcas don't even need a bite thar strong and the only reason that was ever claimed was because in captivity when an orca attacked a woman the orca broke her femur bone. A femur bone only takes 800-1000 psi to crack and 19000 is too high that's like double trex bite force and there's no good evidence they have Jaws that strong.
Saying Orcas have a bite force 19,000 psi is an even bigger lie than the Wolf having a bite force of 1,500-1,900 psi
@@ItachiDarkUchiha exactly and a wolf bite force is like 400 psi maybe 800 psi max and how i know is that a hyena is bigger and has stronger and also easily crushes bones yet its bite force is only 1100 psi. So clearly a wolf will be less
Man with gun is just too damn powerful, until the little virus arrives.
Fun fact, an Orca's bite force is 19,000 PSI vs. a great White Shark, which has a bite force of 4,000 PSI.
Nothing an Orca fears, except a paradox.
Hahaha you “think” a great white could “possibly” kill can orca lol 😂 but there hasn’t been any evidence plus it would be impossible. The orca’s bite force is much more powerful than that of a great white.
Great white bite force = 4,000 psi
Orca Whale bite force = 19,000 psi
How about killer whale vs dunkleosteus? That be a great fight !
well lol gret wite can kill orcas and some ''orcas'' can kill great whites not all orcas can kill great whites
If the great white bites the orca first then the orca is not gonna have a good time the great white has teeth allowing them to tear any skin they want
@@Chunky177 ye
@@Chunky177 No record of a Great White taking out an Orca but video proof of an Orca killing and eating a Great Whites liver...Largest Great White is like 20 feet or so but Orcas average 20-26 feet and Mass: 6,600 - 8,800 lbs...Great White has zero chance
Great white shark? A orca will be smiling to see one, it will play with it before enjoying its liver 😂
Dude, orcas aren't immortal and plus, great whites have razor sharp teeth and a powerful bite force and can also thrash other animals, so don't underestimate great whites and overrate orcas. There have been multiple cases of great whites fighting back and also surviving orcas. You are like: GREAT WHITE SHARK? HOW? AN ORCA WILL BE EXTREMELY HAPPY TO SEE ONE. IT WILL PLAY WITH IT!! Go study man. You're underestimating the great whites. If the great white manages to bite the orca with those razor sharp teeth, powerful bite force while thrashing, it's not the orca's lucky day. Also, while orcas know the great white's weakness, orcas aren't the only intelligent ones. Great whites are also intelligent and also know the orca's weakness. Great whites always try to bite the soft belly. In fact, when orcas hunt great whites, they never play with one. They hunt it as fast as possible so they don't get hurt.
This the best UA-cam channel
Just imagine the future with a new species of sharks called the Great Wise Shark, so wise for the fish faction as it's wisdom rivals the Orca's. Just a fantasy for now.
