I doubt they have never attacked humans, but the only humans who have likely been attacked are hunters/fisherman that live in very remote areas. An Inuit man goes out on his kayak, a hungry and desperate Orca decides to take him, and his village just assumes he got lost at sea or died from rough waves. It also helps that they generally live in areas where humans can't swim due to water temperature so Orcas rarely meet humans in a vulnerable environment. If Orcas lived in tropical waters attacks would likely be much more common.
The 2nd group is lucky the orcas did want to play around cause I think they could have easily caught that boat. Mfs was flipping around doing backflips on they ass 😂
I went diving with orca whales before, they are actually really calm if you know how to behave yourself in their presence, you need to filter out any fear and stress and just go for it, they treat you like another one of themselves(just a smaller version), I seen orcas with babies as well, those are a bit more protective, they would nudge you a bit to tell you, stay away, so I kept my distance. They are extremely smart animals, and very dangerous predators at that, but that doesn’t mean the moment they see you, you’re done for. It’s a great experience regardless.

Some Orcas were spotted actually drowning sharks in the west coast of the US by exploiting the fact that sharks need to move to breath. You could say the same thing about cats being adorable. What's your point? I'ts funny how you completely ignored all the clips where orcas didn't launch seal into the air for fun. See how easy this is?
Lol it’s odd that they like us but they eat seals…..I got a feeling if they knew what dirtbags we are we would be the ones they are launching into the air.
Because they know emotionally, we are like them. Also we would be a terrible food source. Most of us are skinny and boney as fuck (in comparison to most of their prey) , and most of what we pump into our bodies would be terrible for them and they know it somehow. In my personal opinion, they are more intelligent than we are in some ways. We know they can communicate with each other. Who knows what they’re saying behind our backs lol
Eden Mashraki about 16yrs ago we were in a small speed boat in monterey bay with my cousin and had a pod of about 400 dolphins following our boat every where we went for about s hour i was even able to touch them multiple times n get real close. it was an amazing experience
Orcas: - drown whales twice their size, check - absolutely abuse seals, check - make the sharks know fear, check - somehow kill moose, check - make sure humans see it all and are grateful for their mercy, check (edit spell check)
They are really gentle with humans. I feel like it's a generational thing because I watched a video of a mother teaching her calf to swim gently around humans.
@@puppylover6885in the wild, they're more curious than anything. You have to remember they're the biggest member of the dolphin family, which are usually gentle with humans(besides bottlenosed dolphins.)
The last one is one of the craziest things I've seen on the internet. My jaw was hanging open the entire time. The vocalizations are so complex that it sounds like language. Remarkably gentle and precise in its behavior too. They're fascinating animals. That was a privilege to watch.
It might be a language. There is a video on YT called Corky hears her family from 93. Corky was taken from her family and sent to Sea World, many, many, many years later, scientists who still tracked her pod (which many of her family members were living) recorded their vocalizations and brought them to play for her. All the orcas reacted, but Corky had the strongest reaction. Of course, that COULD be us just putting that on them, possibly seeing what isn't there, but what we do know makes it seem more likely than not that she did recognize them. We know pods have different almost "accents" and ways of communication. It makes you wonder.

A pod of Dolphins were swimming around me and two of them came up and tipped my kayak upright. As I was climbing into the kayak the Dolphin picked me up onto my kayak. @@CaramelnCoffee They're demons of the sea because they're cruel to other animals lol. We're too far removed from their food chain to care about us I think.
Completely agreed. They wouldn’t hurt people. I gather that there’s never been an incident where wild orcas hurt people. There’s also never been an incident where one person went into an elevator alone and then people came out of the walls and killed that person. Doesn’t stop me being afraid.
I don't blame you. You can read all about how they're not harmful towards humans, but in the face of a huge creature that can easily topple your boat if it wanted to, and not being able to guess what it might do next time it surfaces, fear is the natural reaction.
Even though they were using the boats' wake to their advantage, the fact that they could keep up with ease for so long is amazing. They truly are the masters of the seas.
That was pure maddness ! The best kind of maddness. Absolutely a once in a lifetime experience. Something like that would absolutely be on my bucket list forget skydiving!
It's the primordial soup, origin of all terrestrial life on Earth. I like to think part of our fear comes from an inherent, almost genetic, knowledge of what horrors used to lurk in it's depths. What wayward terrors crossed our ancestors' primitive minds as they fled those cold dark waves to the warm dry unknowns sprawled before them on sandy beaches? If only we knew beyond a doubt. Alas, all that is left is but to wonder. Wonder and fear.
@@keithcunningham3131 Not most scary. Several dozen people die every year due to attacks by sea creatures (including sharks: about 10 victims every year). But because of poisonous snakes on land: tens of thousands every year (and other poisonous creatures: as many again) ; because of diseases spread by biting of mosquitoes and flies: many million people every year. Compared to the land, the oceans are very friendly to people.
The way that they were playing in the wake of that boat was just stunning. Nature is beautiful, we are blessed to be able to share this planet with such amazing creatures.
Orcas are cool because that don’t attack humans. But I’d hardly call them beautiful given they will actively torture there prey before eating it, and are even known to kill and torture solely for fun. You can even find a video of a pod of Orcas brutally torturing a sting ray for over an hr before it finally died. When it did, the pod just watched it sink to the ocean floor, and then left. last guy was the only one who actually knew how to behave around an amazing creature like this: normal, generous, respectful, no screaming and agressive 'iwannatouchyou' madness
Cat Nini That last orca was Luna, and I believe that the person interacting with him was one of the villagers who lived near the bay Luna lived in, and he interacted with Luna regularly. He may be one of the indigenous people, and they have great respect for Orca, and I think they believe they are ancestors... if not that, then maybe they hold them sacred for some other reason, but either way, and whether or not that guy is even one of the indigenous people, he’s interacting with a whale that lost its family/pod, and basically was adopted by the people of that village/bay (or Luna adopted them as family). If you don’t know what I’m talking about at all, there’s a documentary on Luna you can easily find on UA-cam, which I recommend. Just be prepared to either be heartbroken, enraged, or both by the end, bc it does not have a happy ending, unfortunately.. The main part, what happened before the end, is actually quite beautiful, however.
That huge pod and the guy at the end were definitely the highlight for me !! The guy talking and playing tug of war with the orca I wish there was a longer video ✌🏼💙🩵🐳🖤🤍
They are super intelligent and can recognise we are both not food nor threat so they usually go into a strage playful mode. There's alot to intelligent animals we don't understand and dolphins are some of the coolest out there
It’s funny how these apex predators treat everything in the ocean savagely and cruelly and see humans as friends. It’s a shame that some of us are careless and only use them for captivity. Perhaps we’ve done good to them before most documented history, and passed their friendship for generations. They are smart enough to know that anyway. They are also quite adorable for apex predators.
I think it's at least partially they know we'd absolutely body them if it came to that. But yeah, there's also the emotional and general intelligence yaddi yadda

Spinning in a boat's wake, the way they tail slap the fish and how they were almost ballet-like underwater at the end of this video, they must be the most graceful creatures on Earth.
The BBC said them chasing the boat is a training exercise for organized hunting but I really think they are just playing with the wake. Unless they are a pod that beaches themselves to hunt baby seals they probably rarely get the chance to swim along a wave like that since they happen to close to shore. Amazing animals.
Considering in the grand scheme of things and how long Orcas have been around, motor boats haven't been around long and that's amazing Orcas are that playful
A few reasons, but the main one is that the boat current creates something of a boost for them to move in, and they are catching a ride. It makes swimming substainally less work. It's incredibly common to see dolphins do the exact same thing. Jumping or "Breeching" is fun for them.
I love how that whale swimming by the family at 7:08 comes by to give them a show and a splash. What a delight for the kid. That spontaneous interaction is 10x better than sea world!
Keiko the orca from Free Willy actually swam here from his sea pen in Iceland in 2002 and was seen following fishing trawelers to get an easy meal! Orcas in the North Atlantic all now routinely steal herring from trawlers rather than just hunt their own. Thousands of years of tradition changed in an instant.
There’s no evidence of these whales killing humans in the wild, but imagine if they were just intelligent enough to hide the evidence of them doing it 💀
Off the coast of Spain and the Gibraltar straighten have been having orcas attack sail boats. They been doing coordinated attacks, ramming the hull and chewing up the rudders. They've damaged allot of boats and even sank a small fishing boat. No one has been hurt as of yet. The fishers who had their boat sank had another larger boat near by that they were able to get to before the little one sank. It's the same pod of really young orcas doing it. They don't appear to have an older Matriarch guiding them in these attacks.
@@N.E.TGaming Basically the most accepted theory is that an orcas mother shows them where the most reliable food source is and since that humans are land mammals they mostly don't get to see humans deeming it as rare and unreliable. edit: not just that humans are bony and skinny and they thrive off of fat. Basically making us also unreliable. So overall were not even that nutritional to go after.
I became a marine biologist because of orcas, they are incredibly intelligent creatures, and one of the most misunderstood animals out there, along with sharks. Also, they are following the boat in the second video because the splashing the motor is making is similar to what a wounded animal or a hoard of fish makes.

Fun fact: there has never been a recorded case of an Orca attacking a human in the wild. Another fun fact: Orcas from different regions of the world speak different languages.
I remember reading that the encounter at 5:48 was one of the largest pods ever seen. The last one is an orca people named Luna. Very very sad story because he got really lonely after getting separated from his pod so it sought human companionship[p. The only thing it loved more than hanging out with people was making friends with dogs. Several videos showing Luna bobbing up and down as it interacted with dogs. Nitwits claimed Luna saw the dogs as prey, but several vantage points indicated the dogs were within striking distance as Luna bounced up and down. It's the companionship it had with people is what got it killed by the props of a tugboat. Absolutely heart breaking.
"The Whale" documentary narrated by Ryan Reynolds is about the whole story. I have it on DVD because I could not find it streaming anywhere. It's so sad, yet beautiful and amazing.
That large pod is pretty much nothing compared to the one I saw back in 2010 up here in Nunavut, Canada. Must've been like in hundreds, if not, thousands....right after seeing a Mermaid in the area.

They probably are. My guess is they know all about humans, and think that if they start taking humans out, it will invite unwanted negative attention.
At any moment they could capsize these small boats and kayaks, yet they don't. Incredible.
Do u wanna know y?
@@KingWhoppa sure
@@N.E.TGaming Basically the most accepted theory is that an orcas mother shows them where the most reliable food source is and since that humans are land mammals they mostly don't get to see humans deeming it as rare and unreliable.
edit: not just that humans are bony and skinny and they thrive off of fat. Basically making us also unreliable. So overall were not even that nutritional to go after.
@@KingWhoppa what if someone was very fat and met an orca?
@@MasudaOfKorriban still wouldn't happen there's other things that's in us that orcas don't eat
I became a marine biologist because of orcas, they are incredibly intelligent creatures, and one of the most misunderstood animals out there, along with sharks. Also, they are following the boat in the second video because the splashing the motor is making is similar to what a wounded animal or a hoard of fish makes.
iS THaT a JojO rEfREncE?
I am looking to become a marine biologist just because of orcas too. Your comment made me so happy. Blessings.
What’s misunderstood about sharks?
You like whale killers that kill endangered species like the blue whale? Shame on you! What a despicable 'academic'!
@@whigparty6180 so orcas aren’t supposed to eat? Whales aren’t endangered because of orcas. You know that right? Your comment is despicable.
They having fun riding the waves.such a great video
Seriously cool footage man. My favorite was the whales surfing the waves behind the boat... because in the next clip at about 5:04 they were like "Yo man, why is your boat so slow--I want my wave simulator!" 😀
Woah didn’t expect to see you here. Thanks for teaching me how to make a boomerang so many years ago🤙🏼
Ten years to be exact.... jeez
They're not whales.
@@iskindersam4899 Orcas are whales
Man bro their stamina and speed is crazy
The amazed, child-like laughter from everyone. The purest form of joy and awe. 😄❤️
Sounded more like fear masked as laughter.
I thought this was so sweet
most of them is nervous laugh
The two chasing the boat looked like a young older brother and younger sister having the time of their lives 😭😭😭 orca really are the most incredible
Orcas are one of the worlds most incredible creatures. Just mesmerizing seeing them in video. Can only imagine how intense it would be in person.
They followed so long in the second clip just to tell him

Thank you for the stamps!
Absolutely incredible. I have never seen so many together. I wonder what so many were doing together??
@@SeanDiego im guessing they were feeding them and having some kind of tour? the birds are there swarming. idk if the whales were feeding tthemselves or if the humans fed them but there was definitely food involved. thats what all the birds and whales were doing there. eating.

Chillingly beautiful. I'd been heightened with emotions & extremely frightened at the same time! I couldn't even imagine. The fact they got this on camera was such an amazing encounter!
I cant even begin to imagine what its like to see one in the ocean. Especially really close encounters, what a blessing 🙏
7:03 that's that "i almost died" kinda laugh 😂
I can't believe the ladies in the kayak in the first video are laughing! I'd be absolutely shitting myself.
I believe that's the epitome of "nervous laughter"
Im fine as long as im not in a kayak, surfing or just on water in general
Fun fact: there has never been a recorded case of an Orca attacking a human in the wild. Another fun fact: Orcas from different regions of the world speak different languages.

It's beautiful!
Apocalypse?! It looks insanely beautiful.
Sad because it looked really well natured
"The Whale" documentary narrated by Ryan Reynolds is about the whole story. I have it on DVD because I could not find it streaming anywhere. It's so sad, yet beautiful and amazing.
That large pod is pretty much nothing compared to the one I saw back in 2010 up here in Nunavut, Canada. Must've been like in hundreds, if not, thousands....right after seeing a Mermaid in the area. That moment was once in a lifetime......very very large pod of Killer Whales in one area. I think that mermaid controlled that pod, because they were in a straight-line. It was unbelievable! Though, I've seen mermaids couple times. First one was in 1998, since then....I became a believer of my grandparents stories 😊
@@inummarik You believe in mermaids??
@JP yes, we share the lands and waters with these, you call "myths" and "legends", everyday.....year round 😊
