Guys, here's all the best easter eggs, in-jokes and references I spotted in The LEGO Batman Movie! What ones did i miss? If you're looking for all the cameos in the movie they're in a separate video here ► ua-cam.com/video/rpWdCQIYmCI/v-deo.html
There is another fun easter egg from Suicide Squad: After Killer Croc pushes the button to activate Joker's bomb, he joyfully exclaims,"I did something!" This of course, is a reference where Killer Croc had little to no part in Suicide Squad.
I love how Billy Dee Williams finally got to play Two Face after playing Harvey Dent in 1989 and that Catwoman was played by Zoe Kravitz before she played the character again in The Batman.
my favorite easter egg is the fact that Billy Dee Williams voices two-face,who used to be Harvey Dent, who Williams played in the 89 Batman movie. there is also another 60s reference when batman & robin get in the batmobile. the words atomic batteries to power and turbines to speed are said, which is something robin would often say in the 60s tv show.
Smasherfan88 never gonna happen, Disney is very stingy with its properties, and DC is owed by Warner Bros. So they can use all those characters as much as they want. That’s why Marvel legos weren’t in The Lego Movie and probably won’t be since they own film rights even though there are Marvel Legos
There is an adult joke hidden in this it is when Batman is adopting Robin. Robin says friends call him Dick and Batman said then kids must be really cruel.
So I don't know if this is a Easter egg because it's not in the movie. If you say to Siri "Hey 'puter" she will give you a hilarious Lego Batman answer.
Flicks And The City another response is "Welcome home sir. I have your rom coms queued up, sorted by decade." and " Hello, sir. I've heated up your lobster Thermidor in the microwave."
I really liked all the other villains coming as well, because realistically, if a kid was playing with all these toys, they would also have other sets too like harry potter and lord of the rings and jurassic park and doctor who, etc
6:38 It is also a reference to a episode of the Batman '66 when the Riddler calls Batman a chicken and have a Boxing match and Batman weres the same exact outfit ( yellow pants, red gloves, and a similar blue mask and belt)
The scene with the gremlins on the Batwing, When Robin says, "There's Something on the wing" It's actually a reference to the 1959-1964 TV show "The Twilight Zone" specifically the episode "Nightmare at 20,000 feet" where a man keeps seeing a creature on the wing of the plane he's in, and it keeps trying to tinker with the engine. If you look closely, the way the gremlins are getting to the engine, It looks almost exactly the same as when the creature was trying to get to the engine on the plane in the episode too,
I would recommend watching the episode to fully understand what I said, Also to see the similarities. Its very easy to find on UA-cam, Also in the script for "Nightmare at 20,000 feet" the creature is referred to as a gremlin
Wakinyan Tanka of we're getting technical, there are 6. The two missing from your pic are very light grey and very light bluish grey (only seen in mindstorms sets iirc)
I found one you missed. Also related to Lego batman:anybody with an Apple device, say"hey computer"or"how many good ideas have I had today.Enjoy.😁"or what is the bat cave password.
the 'Two Shades of Grey' is also likely a reference to the Lego Movie line: "I only built in black, and sometimes very very dark grey". (listing 2 shades and 2 verys)
When I walked into the cinema, I didn't expect to watch a Batman movie where main characters include *the Gremlins, the Eye of Sauron, and Lord Voldemort*
The Truck is also a reference to Dark Knight when Joker's in the truck that says "Laughter is the best medicine" and he's painted an "S" in-front of laughter.
Barbara Gordon was actually a child in Batman the Animated Series and I think she was the sidekick before Robin. She also kept her Batgirl identity a secret, even from her father, Commissioner Gordon
1.When superman interviewed about him being vanished thats gotta be nod to something 2.When batman trying to get barbara trust it's really similiar with batman and robin scene when bruce trying to get robin trust
I've watched this movie in cinema with dubbing and later when in came out on DVD I've wathced original version. Some jokes was done better in dubbing. Like in prison scene when Bats is talking about criminals fighting other criminals in english version he says "That's the stupid idea" In dubbing he actually says something you can translate as "This idea sounds like suicide" :D On the other hand when Alfred revels his costume he says "I miss 60's" in dub he says "I'm learning from young people" (as he learnd to wear costume under the clothes from Robin)
One easter egg you missed was when batman is on his TV choosing a source the sound effects the TV has are the Same sound effects the Playstation 2 has in the System Configuration Menu.
When Robin said that he practiced a type of gymnastics karate called Gymkata, it was referencing a movie from 1985 called Gymkata starring World Champion American gymnast Kurt Thomas who was an undercover government agent using gymnastics to take out the bad guys.
I think I was the only person in my screening to catch that one, but I died. There was also a reference to the 1989 movie Gleaming the Cube when they were stealing the phantom zone projector.
another easter egg is that Doug Benson is the voice of Bane in the movie because he imitates Bane on almost every episode of his podcast Doug Loves Movies.
as a Jamaican i love the Jamaican easter egg also their was a shout out to the guy who draws the DC character as middle school kids in comic form i was so shock ed when his art pop up know how popular his batman version is
When Batman fires his merch gun at the orphans, some of the shirts that the orphans get/wear display the logo of the Kids WB/CW animated reboot, "The Batman."
Joker's mansion is a big reference to the location of The Killing Joke comic, including roller coasters, a mirror labyrinth, a Ferris wheel and joker's throne with a ton of dolls around it.
14:00 the wonder twins are in the background and they fist bump in reference to the teen titans fired episode where beast boy gets replaced by the wonder twins...
I like the Ark-Ham Cafeteria sign, the "no prob Van", as in Van Wayne (When Bruce was signing something), and the Dark Knight Returns-ish comic book cover moment when Alfred falls from the BatProwler.
I have a theory about the movie, The first Lego movie showed us that a child was running the universe. I like to think that the phantom zone is his mother hiding all the "bad" toys away from him, and that his mothers name is Phylis
There's also a reference to the actor Claude Rains who played the original Invisible man in the thirties as well as staring in the wolfman of the forties and the phantom of the opera of the same decade when Robin tries on a costume with Wolverine claws.
The best Batman movie ever. It's the funniest, the most action packed, the nerdiest, and also, the most accessible. There were so many Easter Eggs that I wish I was able to rewind the movie as I saw it. Go see it. If you love any iteration of Batman, you will love this movie. If you love DC in general, this will be your favorite movie of the season. It is an hour and a half of pure nerd wish fulfillment and jokes that are better than any in the last 100 live action comedy movies that have been released.
i have one you missed, in the lego batman movie, the Red Hood is one of the villains the joker gets in at the beginning, in the joker's backstory for the killing joke, Jerome Valeska was pressured into committing crime as the Red Hood but batman's interference causes him to leap into a chemical vat turning him into the joker.
The Gymkata reference by Robin is everything, and the Crystal Light Dancers at the end make life better. Gymkata: U.S. agents send a gymnastic martial artist (Kurt Thomas) to secure a missile-base site by the Caspian Sea. Initial release: 1985 Director: Robert Clouse
I remember that one scene where Batman arrives at the orphanage and gave the orphans a bunch of batman products, the logo that used was from The Batman animated show.
Spoilers! When Harley Quinn tells the Joker to let Batman see what happens when he's not around, she's in a (sort of) nurse's outfit. Is that a reference to her design in Batman: Arkham Asylum?
If the Slaughter truck was a reference to the truck the Joker drove in the Dark Knight, then that's my favorite. That or Alfred mentioning the 60's tv show when it was going through all of Batman's phases.
the time on the microwave after he puts in 20:00 minutes is 1:02. Detective Comics 102 is a Batman and Robin against the Joker story called 'The House that was Held for Ransom' interesting how the joker took over Wayne Manor after this!
I liked the Time When Someone (Cant Remember who) said "What about the time with the parade and the prince music" Referencing the 1989 Batman Parade Scene
Guys, here's all the best easter eggs, in-jokes and references I spotted in The LEGO Batman Movie! What ones did i miss?

He was supposed to play two face in the third movie, but Tim burton quit and Joel s. took over and re casted everyone

My favorite Easter egg was when Batman said villains vs villains is stupid throwing shade at suicide squad
haha, I know, right, who'd come up with such a silly idea?! ;-)
Especially funny, if you consider how Lego Batman solves his problems in the movie.

In polish dubbing version he says something like "This idea sounds like suicide" ;)

It's good cos they used a different line in the trailers so the joke wasn't spoiled in the movie!

oooh that was awesome
My favorite easter egg is when Killer Croc said " I did something!" when he set the timer for the bomb.
i don't understand that easter egg?

The scene with the gremlins on the Batwing, When Robin says, "There's Something on the wing" It's actually a reference to the 1959-1964 TV show "The Twilight Zone" specifically the episode "Nightmare at 20,000 feet" where a man keeps seeing a creature on the wing of the plane he's in, and it keeps trying to tinker with the engine. There were so many Easter Eggs that I wish I was able to rewind the movie as I saw it. Go see it. If you love any iteration of Batman, you will love this movie. It is an hour and a half of pure nerd wish fulfillment and jokes that are better than any in the last 100 live action comedy movies that have been released.

Tay J ‼️
Tay J ‼️ THATS WHAT I WAS GONNA SAY!!!
It's also a fucking sweater. I don't know what kind of jumping they've done in that to call it a jumper.
Markus Rochin That's because she is British. We have always called sweaters jumpers in the UK.
I remember that one scene where Batman arrives at the orphanage and gave the orphans a bunch of batman products, the logo that used was from The Batman animated show.
